Commonwealth of Massachusetts recommended COVID-19 protocols now in effect, including: independent (passcode) check-in; thorough cleaning & disinfecting; on premises high temperature laundering; natural ventilation from the gentle breezes coming off of Mill Pond; provision of hand sanitizer and disinfectant cleaning supplies for guests; and PPP employed by our professional and dedicated cleaners.
New for 2020: we have upgraded our WiFi speed to super-fast 600 mbps, and installed a whole-house, backup generator so that the house will never lose any power, even in the event of storm-related damage to the Cape electric grid.
We love Woods Hole and think you will too! It has a truly unique ambiance and mix of tranquility, as well as accessibility. Once you park (or arrive via express bus from Boston), you will find everything you need within a short walk. These are approximate walking distances: Stony Beach (2 minutes); Woods Hole park and playground (3 minutes); center of town and Aquarium (5 minutes); and Martha's Vineyard ferry, the start of the Shining Sea Bikeway , the shuttle to Falmouth Center, and the bus stop (7 minutes). Stony Beach is famous for its gentle slope to the warm Buzzards Bay waters, which is perfect for children, and adults, alike. We provide both adult and children's kayaks and a paddle board which can easily be carried for use off of the beach (with adult supervision of children). Families, in particular, will enjoy the easy access to the park, including play structure, swings, beach volleyball, tennis courts, and baseball diamond. At the Aquarium, guests can check out the sea lions and some of the work of the local marine biologists. In town, there are wonderful restaurants, including Captain Kidd, the Landfall, and Pie in the Sky (whose made-from-scratch bread pudding is out of this world!). Those who like to bicycle will be especially happy at our home, not only given the beauty of Woods Hole and surrounding areas, but also because it is the start of the 10-mile-long Shining Sea Bikeway, which passes along the ocean, cranberry bogs and beautiful salt sea ponds and marshes. Day trips to Martha's Vineyard are easy from Woods Hole, whether on foot or on bike. The ferry leaves regularly and only costs approximately $7 each way. Our home was newly-renovated and includes 600 mbps high speed internet, and 2 large screen televisions with hundreds of free channels, including HBO, and an abundance of free on-demand offerings. The home is complemented throughout with original artwork from artists featured in the French gallery, Carre d'artistes. The furnishings are all brand new and feature a large sectional sofa and dining room chairs, all upholstered in supple leather. One only has to look out the window or off the deck to take in the wildlife present in and around Mill Pond, a location popular with bird watchers. Enjoying the view is made easy by the comfortable deck dining table and adjacent gas grille. We understand that plans sometimes change, and are, therefore, happy to grant net refunds, however, only to the extent that the house can be re-rented on the same net terms. I recently stayed at this Woodhall rental and I was impressed with the cleanliness and comfort of the property. The rental was well-maintained and had all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The location was also very convenient, with easy access to shops and restaurants nearby.

The property is in a great location to walk to all of the interesting places in Woods Hole. This made a great home base for exploring Cape Cod, we enjoyed waking up each morning and enjoying the ducks on Mill Pond, our son loved the beach and playground that are both a short walk from the house. They have anything you could need in the cabinets and we appreciated the stools in the bathroom for the littles ones as well as the toy box that kept our son busy while hanging out at the house.

Had a great two night stay with two young kids. Location is excellent, easy walk to the beach, restaurants/market, and playground. House was very clean and comfortable, great space for kids to play, and plenty of children books for us to read. And a really nice view of the pond. Next time we return to WH, we'll be looking to renting here again!

Woods Hole was a wonderful place to visit. So many things are within walking distance - the beach, restaurants, coffee shops, museums, and aquarium. This home is perfect for a family vacation. Spacious, lots of amenities in the home, and even toys for children! The view from the windows and deck was absolutely beautiful. The hosts were responsive and understanding. I would definitely come again!

Absolutely wonderful week in Woods Hole at this property- which was UBER clean, and exactly as listed in a great location. Just a stone’s throw from the beach and downtown within walking/biking distance, but you could also sit on the back deck and be completely entertained by the ducks, birds and other water fowl that call the adjacent pond home. Property manager, Leo, was accessible for local tips or in case we needed anything - which we didn’t, bc the home literally had everything! A very much needed relaxing week’s stay with my elderly parents in their 80’s - we can’t wait to do it again next year!

So close to Stoney Beach and a 5 minute walk to Eel Pond, Pie in the Sky Bakery and a park with swings-we had a relaxing week with no need to get in a car (though we did take a trip to a grocery store 15 minutes away). The house was very clean, with everything we needed including a well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds.

Our stay was made easy and comfortable in this well-appointed home. The location allows for easy walking access to all that the area offers. Birding from the deck or the many windows is special. The beds are very comfortable; the kitchen is fully equipped. We would happily return to this house.

I love this home! This was my second time renting it - first time adults and little kids, second time just myself and my husband. The place is gorgeous, the couch is super comfortable, and the view is beautiful. The short walk from the beach is great (even though I’ve only gone in the cold months). Easy to get to downtown. Communicating with the owner was an extremely easy process. All good things!

House has amazing views of pond with lots of birds and ducks which is really fun and relaxing to watch. Proximity to Woods Hole couldn’t be better. Toys for kids which my kids loved. Overall would recommend and would love to stay again! Thanks for having us!

Peaceful Woods Hole spot
We enjoyed 9 days in this sweet spot overlooking a pond replete with swans and ducks. The house was spic and span clean, comfortable, with lots of light from the windows overlooking the pond. We enjoyed lovely walks in the area and found a few restaurants that were open in nearby Falmouth . We are pleased we got what we hoped for…a relaxing time ina soothing spot.

Really close to the beach and the ferry, plus the Woods Hole restaurants. You can walk to everything which was great. House was comfortable and the hosts were very easy to deal with. They let us use their bikes and beach gear which was convenient and much appreciated.

Get away for the weekend
We visited this lovely home this past weekend to celebrate my sisters upcoming wedding. The house was a wonderful spot. The house is located a short walk from town which made for a great walk to and from our dinner location. The house is very clean and open. The large windows from the living room bring in lots of light and allow you to enjoy the view. The accommodations were excellent for a group of people with trundle beds proving adequate space for all to sleep. Thank you for having us!

We enjoyed our stay in this nice house. The house had everything we needed for a short stay. It is located a short walk to downtown and to a nearby beach. Highly recommend for a short getaway as long as long stays.

We loved this guest house and its location. It rained most of the time we stayed there but we enjoyed the view of the pond from where we were working in the living room and the short walk to the village coffee shop!
