About this house rental

This Four bedroom home provides great flexibility with a master bedroom and bathrooms both up and down stairs.
Fully equipped kitchen, Free view TV, BBQ and outdoor furniture, a log burner for the winter as well as kayaks available for use.
Stunning sea views, all day sun and a large flat yard to sit and entertain or just read a book and listen to the Bell Birds.
Off street parking with the beach at the end of the drive.
This home is not toddler friendly . From crawling to the age of 5 is not permitted.
Tourist activities include both dolphin watching and swimming with dolphins, guided kayaking, fishing and swimming, hiking, walks and a relaxed village around which you can just stroll and enjoy the views, the people, the atmosphere...

There’s a good beaches for playing in and a pleasant drive by car to the outer bays of the Peninsula will find some of the best beaches in Canterbury. Banks Peninsula even has a couple of hidden surfing spots which are world renown. The village also boasts a decent sized supermarket, many cafes, and a host of wonderful restaurants. The safe bay also offer great walks and hikes, along with boutique shopping, galleries, wineries and the famous Barry Point cheese factory.

Akaroa is 1,5 hours from Christchurch city, and has a regular mini-bus service operating between Christchurch City, and both the International and Domestic airports if you’re arriving from another city.

Location was perfect. Older house but well equipped with lots of heaters and fireplace. Just thinking a heatpump may be beneficial as in summer I’d say upstairs would get very hot. Fabulous toys for kids in wardrobes and kayaks etc in garage to use. We did find hot water in kitchen tap was extremely hot so may need to be adjusted. Overall we had such a lovely family holiday in a very nice place. Thank you.

We had an excellent stay thank you. You cannot beat the house for it's location a short walk from town and the beach. We made use of the kayaks that the hosts keep for guests, my kids loved this! The house was clean and had all the facilities we needed, felt very lucky to be sipping my morning brew on the balcony overlooking the bay, stunning, we'll definitely be back!

‘Under promised and over delivered’. Really brilliant place to stay, super clean, well stocked kitchen area and wood burner. Location is superb set back from main road but with a view of the bay from the bedrooms and balcony. Shirt walk to all amenities. Will definitely be back!!

Great location and classic kiwi style home. So handy to everything Akaroa has to offer. Amazing sunset views and silhouette in the late afternoon. Just could of done with some wifi to hot spot the footy. Top marks from us second time visitors. Highly recommend this place.

Delightful residence, location.Seven adults easily accommodated, spacious,superbly appointed allowing additional visitors to be watered and feed effortlessly. Rooms are generous in proportion, views,so peaceful.Central location suits the casual vacation lifestyle.

The house suited granpa and kuia and extended family perfectly. The central but quiet location meant we didn't use the car and enjoyed a beautiful view. The house is homely and perfectly equipped my daughter loved the coffee machine. Thank you for the lovely break.

We absolutely loved our stay at this house. The home was very clean, beds comfortable and the location is fantastic. There were heaps of games and toys for the kids and they also loved the use of the kayak’s. We will definitely be back for another visit!

This was a great place to stay. Excellent location close to shops and beach and cafes. Very comfortable beds. Ideal house for our extended family. Fireplace soon warms the upstairs. There are heaters downstairs which also keep the place warm.
