Het restaurant is top. Ook heerlijk ontbijt en vriendelijke eigenaar + personeel.
Doucheruimte niet de nieuwste maar.
Maar wel keurig schoon.

A quirky hotel in a beatiful little village. We were only here for 1 night and arrived late so didnt use the restaurant or any other facilities. Staff were friendly.
Not so much didnt like as we understand the age of the beautiful building limits certain aspects. But just to bare in mind - we had the family room which was accross 2 floors - the stairs are very steep which had me a little worried with a 3 yr old so we dragged a mattress from upstairs and all slept downstairs. (That was then a bit awkward with the bathroom being upstairs again.)
Also the upstairs was much to hot for sleeping comfortably due to weather.
Also theres no lifts and a lot of stairs/long corridors so just bare in mind if you have a lot of luggage.
Plus the sings to warn you about there being steps on the other side of the door were all in Dutch only - which i didnt think about but my husband did find it comical that "so if you cant read Dutch you can die" (i guess thats for the hotel to decide if they accomodate enough foreign tourists that it may be worth it to add an additional language or 2 to those rather helpful life saving little signs?)

The breakfast was fine and a convenient car park at the back
The room didn't have the air-con, the evening was unbearable. We couldn't sleep. When we opened the window, we were not sure what was worse - the heat or the noise, people talking loudly, shouting and loughing as the room overlooked noisy restaurants. A tiny window didn't let any air anyway. In the morning, we found a fan in the wardrobe. The staff could have told us there was one. It would have been nice if at least they thought of putting some cold water in the room. In colder months it might be a good place to stay, but definitely a no no in summer. Unless someone likes a sauna in their room. The price was far too high for a heavy night in a steaming hot room with no air...

The location was perfect, and outside dining was lovely and great food and drink. Drove past, pulled over and booked a night's stay within minutes. Highly recommended
There wasn't anything we didn't like 🙂

Proximity to the Hertog Jan brewery.
Nothing. This is why I always return.

The staff was amazing and super accommodating
The bathroom grouts and shower curtain were disgusting, the food wasn't worth the price and the beds were uncomfortably hard, we asked for a double bed and got two single beds shoved together. We ended up between and almost under the beds several times throughout the night

Location is great.
The breakfast was modest to say the least. No sense to prepay it at this place. The apartment has no air conditioner. In hot time of the year it is challenging

Convenient location, friendly and helpful staff, large rooms and delicious food.
We could hear the neigbours using their shower and walking up the stairs in the two level rooms quite loudly.

Lovely central setting, friendly staff, good selection at breakfast. Nice bar area with plenty of drink choices and lots of good beers. Nice decor in bar and reception with some nice touches in bedroom. Good facilities in bedroom such as fridge, coffee maker and kettle, TV and 2 fans. Beds were two twins pushed together which worked well for us. Beds comfy.
Lack of air conditioning- we went when it was very hot, so the lack of air con made it hard to sleep. Shower didn't drain very quickly meaning it is easy to flood the bathroom.
If you stay in summer, be aware that Wednesday is market day - so the bar next door is open til 2pm, meaning it is very noisy if your room overlooks the street.

It is in the centre of the town so there was a good choice of restaurants and cafes if you didn't want to eat at the hotel. Very pretty town, lots of charm.
Entering the hotel from the car park was confusing - they need to put a sign for the hotel over the door by the car park. If you walk around to the front you can't see the hotel sign if the door is open! and the hotel restaurant has a different name. But this is easily sorted just by asking someone.

Location was good. Personels was good.
You should inform them about room heating before you come. When we checked in the hotel our room was so cold. Next day we left the hotel in the morning and housekeeper closed the heater even they knew that we are going to stay one more day.

The hotel was clean with a great location, right in the city centre. It had its own restaurant as well.
We booked the accommodation with Genius discount where we were supposed to have breakfast included in the price. However, after we arrived we were told that the hotel doesn't have such promotion and we need to pay for the breakfast. The owner was really angry at booking.com for offering the discount, however this wasn't our problem. The owner should have sorted it out with booking and not make us pay for the breakfast. We decided not to pay and have our breakfast somewhere else, just because we weren't happy with such behaviour.
