La stuttura era molto vicino all'aereoporto. Personale sempre disponibile e gentile. All inclusive molto valido

There were several good factors that contributed to the overall score of the hotel. The different entertainment options and scenery were fantastic. Not many hotels can offer a kayak trip on the premises. The buffet was average but had a huge variety. The number of pools allowed us to try out multiple locations. The massage service offered by the hotel was very comfortable, and I would love to do it again. The welcome staff at the reception gave us a refreshing and kind greeting as we entered. The bars around the pool, along with the restaurant next to the pool, offered some nice and interesting food (specifically the Bao buns), which was a nice surprise compared to the typical British-style food served at the buffet. Overall, this hotel offered multiple entertainment options for the guests.
(Beginning of the negative review as I couldn't fit it all)
The hotel had many strong points that helped elevate its standards. However, a group is only as strong as its weakest link, and sadly, this place had several. One can only expect a certain standard for buffet food, and for the price, it delivered some decent food. In that case, there is not much I would deduct points for, as the price was quite affordable. However, there were some instances that left a poor taste.
On the first day at the buffet, we had an excellent server who was charming, fun, and delivered impeccable service. However, on another day, we had a different server who didn't offer us anything to drink for almost 30 minutes. We finished our first course of dinner before we had to wave down a server to ask for drinks. This server seemed almost annoyed by the request, which left a disappointing end to the evening.
The worst offender of poor service was the bar next to the reception. Two nights in a row, we tried to have a seat and order drinks there. Both times we were told a server would come to take our order, but no one ever showed up. We waited around 30 minutes before deciding to leave. Forgetting guests during a busy night is understandable, but two nights in a row is quite egregious.
As for the pool and the sunbeds, it seems to be an issue of inconsiderate guests. There are multiple signs around the pools forbidding reserving sunbeds, but this rule is not enforced. The guests would leave their towels on the sunbeds for several hours. Entire pool areas were empty of people but filled with sunbeds covered in towels. Some people were gone for the entire day, leaving their towels behind.
As for the cleaning, our room was mostly fine but the shower had not been properly cleaned as there was hair on the floor. Hopefully that won't be happening again in the future.
In many ways, the work of a critic is easy. We risk very little yet enjoy a position over those who offer up their work and themselves to our judgment. We thrive on negative criticism, which is fun to write and to read. Barcelo Hotel is rated as a 5-star hotel, but what elevates a 4-star hotel to a fifth star? In one word: service. Sadly, Barcelo could not live up to its reputation as a 5-star hotel.

Everything: the location, the room, the food, the entertainment, the workshops, the hospitality…best hotel experience in our lives!!
There is no such thing, but just for improvement: heated pool could be a bit warmer.

Le piscine, qualità del cibo, gentilezza delle persone. Era rotta una cosa nella stanza sono intervenuti subito.
L'acqua delle piscine per me era fredda; mi sarebbe piaciuta una piscina più riscaldata.

Super clean and rooms are huge!
- Pools: they are very clean and sun beds are comfy! I normally opt for adults only resorts, the main pool was off limits if you are seeking quiet time but there is an AO pool which provides a bit of more privacy from the loud families.
- Rooms: my room was simply amazing, spotless clean, lovely balcony, clean sheets, AND optional acoustic music in the bathroom which I obsessively switched on every time I was in (I totally loved it).
- Staff: best praise goes to the housekeeping department. There is an army of gentlemen who early morning and late evening work like a machine to clean and tidy up the pool areas. The maids are a gem (Lili was my lovely helpers) and all of them wear a spot on uniform, clean, tidy always looking at their best!
Ana from the restaurant reception is an hard worker, she is everywhere helping everyone. Maribel kept me company with lovely chats and she is very good at her job!
- Food: on the contrary of some reviews I found the food very good and well selected, plenty of choices for Vegans and Vegetarians. Chefs were fantastic, they are visible on the other side and again always looking clean and spotless.
- SPA: I had a lovely facial with fantastic Aloe products and I appreciated they offered me some cava on arrival.
- Location: you can exit the resort and across the street there is a Paseo along the coast which is amazing early morning or evening to breathe and immerse in the sound of waves. I used to sit at the benches and read, super relaxing but windy!!
- Bar: Now this is where I agree with other reviewers. Poor quality all over. Nice selection of big brands at the back but god only knows what was inside my cocktails. Even a simple coke from the gun tasted weird. I stopped with cocktails on day one and waited to get to the restaurant to get a beer or a glass of wine. Negroni is the only thing I could drink at happy hour as the rest was just not okay. Again the bar staff could try a little bit harder on customer service.
- Reception: despite the facilities are amazing they are unfortunately run by a group of people that are visibly not bothered. With the exception of Jessica who was genuinely smiley the rest of receptionists I spoke with gave me the feeling that any question or assistance I might require was a pain for them. Sad, as there are people who truly believe in customer service.
-Location: it is not the best if you want to access beaches. You need a car.
- Entertainment: for such a high quality resort this was incredibly poor. A bunch of dancers and wannabe performers to look at, I guess when you are on holiday you expect some time where the guests can dance, have fun “doing” something.
- Trips and Excursions: I went to Teide which was nice but definitely overpriced as the tour included just the bus trip, once at the valley you are left on your own. It is basically just a bus trip. After this experience I did not want to risk and book anything else.

The hotel is dated and not well maintained, for sure not up to nowadays 5 star standards.
what's not acceptable is that they send you 10 messages on Booking.com with all types os spam.
Hotel is huge, easy get lost, rooms are not soundproof, you can easily listen your neighbor snoring.

Loved the pools, we had a great time at the infinity pool (every day!)
Nothing!!

Sunny weather, animations, activities. Great service at breakfast provided by Franchesca. And the best fun at animations with Mario. Food was tasty. Especially breakfasts.

The hotel was big and spacious. The room was ok. The room's view was ok. Stayed for 3 nights and spent most of the time outside of the hotel. However, there were a few entertaining activities I could do like kayaking and the historic experience tunnel tour. The app was easy to use and bookings were made via it. Customer service before arrival was slow in responding at times but was good during the stay. The slow responses did affect my holiday planning. I started with half board and upgraded to all-inclusive for the last two days. I did this because the first two days had me out of the hotel from early morning (before breakfast on one day) till evening. The restaurant and snack bars were ok. I only tried the buffet restaurant since that's the only one on all-inclusive. The other restaurants required extra charges. I've honestly been to better 5-star resorts which had the a la carte restaurants included in the all-inclusive package and provided better rooms and services. Was it worth upgrading? Well, I had an evening flight back home and could have lunch and other stuff to eat and drink while I waited, so I guess it was worth it in the end.

Selection of pools and views were good. Breakfast was varied and good. The room was bright, modern and clean.
The Buffet dinner on the half board plan was poor. Did contact Booking.com about this but they referred me to the hotel, the hotel stated I had to deal with Booking.com about the issue. Gave up in the end and vowed not to use Booking.com in the future.

Nice facilities, beautiful rooms, good food. Nice pool area.

Relatively quiet. Fair value alcoholic drinks. Quality buffet food, with different options daily. Availability of UK channels on room TV. Proper bath towels and dressing gowns. Extremely friendly and helpful staff.
Building site next to lake outside our room. Beds slide away from wall too easily. Nature reserve closed for maintenance. only 1 heated pool.

The receptionists were kind and efficient, they helped us find our way around the accommodation they help us connected to WIFI .
Despite the large number of guests, the dining rooms are large and spacious, the breakfasts have a large and delicious selection. The place is suitable for everyone, and the area of the place is large. The place is accessible, there are ramps to bypass the many stairs. The hotel is close to the airport,
The room was located in a good place despite the proximity to the route of the airplane runway, the noise of the airplanes did not disturb.
The cleanliness of the rooms, we received a clean and tidy room, the next day they did not clean the room well. They didn't change towels and didn't clean under the beds.
at the dinner the attitude of the staff in the dining room changes if you don't order a drink there is not even water within reach. In short, if you don't order something, you'll stay thirsty.
