Wonderful 18th century building, a former monastery. Friendly, welcoming staff. Located directly on the main plaza, with its surrounding porticos holding many restaurants with outdoor seating.
The hotel couldn’t be accessed by car because the street was blocked-off, with traffic diverted. As a consequence, we circled around various one-way streets until we found a public parking lot, which turned out not to be the hotel’s contracted lot. We called the hotel to learn where their parking lot was located, but the receptionist talked too fast in Spanish for our rudimentary Spanish ability. We ended up paying the public lot $12 U.S. for the overnight, so missed out on the “free parking.” After we carried our bags the several blocks to the hotel, we were told by the now English speaking receptionist (not the one we spoke with on the phone) that their lot was located a couple blocks further down the same street from the lot in which we parked. Not the hotel’s fault, given our arrival was in a holiday (Palm Sunday). Just FYI regarding holiday arrivals.

Comfortable beds. Very big room with a balcony and French doors we were able to open to get fresh air. The casa itself is a beautiful and authentically Mexican colonial building. The location was fantastic and the main entrance was right off the zacalo. We were worried it might be noisy but once inside the doors it was incredibly quiet. The staff was very helpful and friendly.
Wish they’d had coffee available in the morning but there is a great café two doorways away

We had a lovely room overlooking the main square, with a nice bathroom - good shower and nice toiletries supplied. A bonus was the pod coffee maker, but no real milk or fridge. Wifi worked well for us. Our two nights there were enjoyed, the staff were polite and helpful despite the language barrier on our part. Parking was easy - just a 5 minute walk away, nice to be able to leave the car and explore this interesting place on foot. It was nice to sleep in on a morning as the shutters kept the morning light at bay. Heating or air con was available but not needed, we could open the windows for fresh air.

Our room was great overlooking the Plaza. They upgraded us. The restaurant at breakfast had very good food and excellent service . The entire hotel was so well appointed...attention to every detail.

The hotel is right on the square so we could easily visit and explore the area without cabs or walking.
The restaurant was fine - somewhat overpriced - and too cold for comfort.
Parking was 3 blocks away - a lot for luggage etx. Restaurant was cold and average.
