Breakfast was poor. Badly organised, uninspiring and often cold
4.5 / 5.0
The breakfast was great, everything you could think of was there, a bigger choice of fresh fruit would have been good, berries (blueberries raspberries strawberries) but maybe it’s seasonal. A Bircher muesli would be a great addition to the breakfast.

Location is superb. Right in the centre of town and only a few metres from the slopes. Comfortable bed and great shower with lots of hot water.
Rooms were a little small and seemed very dated. Carpet and curtains in particular need to be replaced.

great staff, always happy. great location, very close to lifts. spa is small but nice. ski hire shop in boot room is handy. very stylish in lobby, bar and restaurants.
spa got pretty crowded. pillows were lumpy, and we had some late night noise problems from the kitchen storeage which was under our room.

The location was amazing and breakfast and evening meals very good. The reception staff and boot room staff were absolutely brilliant! We were over visiting our son who’s working the season in Val and so we were very happy to be there!
The bedroom was a little tired to be honest, with stains on the carpet and ragged seat covers on the sofa. The cleaning was a bit hit and miss.
There were crumbs on the floor even after the room had been ‘cleaned’ and on the last day, when checking for paperwork that might have fallen down the back of the dresser there was a smashed glass there which wasn’t one of ours! Goodness knows how long it had been there!

Hotel and rooms a bit tired. Bar more expensive than 5 star hotel next door.

a bit pricey but I guess that’s Val d’Isere in general

the bar was lovely. lots of games for the families to play. very relaxed
staff we lovely and helpful
position of the hotel is fabulous .
restaurant paul.
service wasn’t in keeping with the cost of the meal. food was average . most expensive meal we had in Val . no comparison with the likes of Le panoramic or the cheese room at La folie.
zero atmosphere. sorry.
for that price you expect a lot more.

good breakfast, good location
I asked for an upgrade for 1 room out of 3 rooms which I assumed would be complimentary and was not informed of any charge to be made prior to my stay or during my stay as the hotel agreed to the upgrade. I only found this extra surcharge for the upgrdade on the bill after I had made payment. I asked for a refund but they refused and offered no good will.
The bedroom was above the bin collection so every moring ; we were woken up at 5am with the noise of the truck and our room was on top of the restatuant and thaey had a party/conference which also kept us up at night.
If these issues had not happened then my stay would have been perfect as there was good food, facilities and staff nice.
The management refused to discuss these issues so communication poor.

Val d'Isere is getting increasingly expensive on many measures. It is a fantastic, well run ski area but inflation is a serious issue in the resort.

The breakfast was great with plenty of choice. The location was spot on as was easy access to the slopes. The hotel had a store room in the basement which was very well organised by the staff and each day there was a member of staff who collected your skis to store. The bar area was bright and staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable, nothing special but were perfectly ok and kept clean by a friendly cleaning team. The reception team were helpful when trying to book a restaurant as we were a party of 17 so quite a challenge in getting tables booked. All the staff at this hotel were very friendly from the breakfast staff, ski store room, cleaners and reception staff.
The room was very hot and difficult to regulate the temperature at night without opening the patio door - and then it got very cold!

Location of the hotel was great for access to the slopes. Staff really friendly & helpful. Great to have use of the pool & sauna at the end of the day. Plenty of choice for breakfast
Ski locker room quite busy and the system over complicated, we rented skis from them which was good and the staff were very friendly & helpful, however I am not sure how it would work if you brought your own skis, The locker room closed at 6.30pm which caught us out one evening.
