About this cottage rental

The large gently sloped property has 150 feet of waterfront with a large 50 foot swimming & boat dock that can accommodate three 20+ foot boats.

One of the best views on the lake in one of the best areas. The house is located within a mile of a Super convenient enclave with a Great grocery store , drug store, sporting goods store, many Antique stores and now The Wallenpaupack Brewing Company micro brewery.

A great FREE state boat launch is minutes away. The Victorian town of Hawley, PA, is just another mile with more antique shops, surprisingly nice selection of fine restaurants and everyday eateries. stores, & live theater.

This is the good end of the lake, The other end is narrow and can make a round trip to the store, an hour. (It's a big Lake) The area is just full of stuff to do from a Sports Fun Park and really fun Animal petting zoo to paint ball and golf and a great Diving Range ⛳️🏌️‍♂️

On the calmer side there are nature walks, Triple W Ranch with horseback riding and The Lacawac Bird Sanctuary to name a few.

The house has 5 bedrooms, it was 6 but two where made into one large room (the bunk-room) which has 6 twin beds and a Full size in it. The other four bedrooms all have queen size. One bedroom ( the chaperone suite 😉 )is accessed through another bedroom

Tenants either, supply their own linens or may contract them for a charge which is the default option 🧺

There is a very large 27 x 40 lodge style living room. The kitchen is 12 x 30 and seats 10 - 12. There are 3 full and 1 half baths. The great room has a pool table, FOOSBALL table, regulation DART BOARD, a QUEEN size pull out bed a queen size futon & a full bath

Pets are permitted upon approval (well trained and house broken, no clawing or gnawing, crated).
Perhaps bring a crate if the poor doggie 🐶 gets nervous alone in a strange place. 😇

First, I would like to say that the owners were so gracious and so easy to contact. We had absolutely no problems, but they communicated with us, even when we didn’t have a problem. The house and view and access to the lake could not be more perfect. The size was excellent. It had plenty of space for all of the kids and the adults. The huge kitchen and table was great for dinners and cooking. I especially liked the little hideaway cubbyhole restroom under the staircase. The kitchen was excellently stocked with plates and dishes and glasses and cookware and pots and pans more than any house I’ve ever stayed in before. No complaints in those areas. The neighbors were working on remodeling their home and there was a huge dumpster sitting at the top of their property and it obstructed the view trying to get in and out of the driveway. We found that very annoying, especially when cars were coming, and we couldn’t see them. Aside from that, our stay was excellent. I highly recommend this property.

The backyard was perfect. Places for sun and shade, lots of room, lots of chairs and a great view of the water from there and the house. Kitchen had everything we needed and two dishwashers! Owner communication was extremely prompt and informative. The house is very comfortable and kids loved the game room. Interior photos don’t do it justice. Read the reviews!

We stayed in the area for a family wedding. We had many family members stay with us. The house was spacious, clean, and had an amazing view of the water. The hosts were easy to contact. I would highly recommend this home and want to come back for a Poconos weekend :)

What a view, pictures do no justice. Large lakefront with a dock. We had 10 people and could have brought 10 more. inside was huge with a lower level game room and spacious main area. We would definitely return and recommend it to friends. Oh yeah Steve was great!

An excellent place to stay with a classic lodge feel. The smaller bedrooms were a welcome tradeoff for the expansive common areas and large bunk room for the kids which made fun a very fun trip!

Lake views were magnificent. Grandchildren enjoyed discovering the back yard down to the lake. We started a small fire in outside fire pit in the afternoon and the kids make s’mores.

This was our second year in a row staying here. The house comfortably accommodates a large family and dogs! Kitchen is fully stocked and living area has a lot of space to relax. Outside deck has a gate so the dogs could hangout with us while enjoying the view of the lake. At times my dogs would just let themselves out on the deck and would find a nice spot to sunbathe and I didn't have to worry about them roaming off. Steve as always was very helpful and would respond right away to any questions I had. Neighborhood was nice and quiet, we enjoyed walking the dogs around. All around great vacation rental.

This is the lake house we have always dreamed of -- views from huge windows, plenty of room for all the kiddos, large kitchen and dining table, beautiful grounds, fun firepit, thoughtfully decorated rooms, and a game room that kept everyone happy when the weather didn't cooperate. The host was kind and responsive, and really made us feel welcome. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Altho we've been to the Poconos many times before, this was our 1st time at Lake Wallenpaupak. This house was perfect for my family & my hubby's brother's family with a total of 7 adults, 4 kids, 2 Berners & 1 Dachshund. Even tho there was a snow storm, it didn't deter my hubby, his bro & my nephew + gf from kayaking in all their snow gear. The views from this house are amazing - so peaceful! There's a ton to do from inside the house - the kids were so entertained that we wouldn't see them for hours at a time (lots of games, Foosball table, pool table). We kept the dogs on the main level to minimize vacuuming for me to twice a day - so nice to see a Dyson in a rental property. The commercial size appliances make me want my own - perfect for our prime rib roast for one night & cooking a ham another night; not to mention 2lbs of bacon most mornings. Our only complaint - the vacay wasn't long enough & we're already planning for Spring Break 2023! Thank you, Steven! You're an excellent host! All the best!

Perfect house for a larger group, lots of space, bedrooms and room for entertainment. Kitchen is also ideal for cooking for a large group as there is a huge fridge, commercial stove and two dishwashers. House is right on the water with easy access to the lake to haul ice fishing gear back and forth. The owner Steve is an absolute class act and I wouldn’t hesitate going back in the future.

We stayed for 3 days over the Christmas vacation with our married children and our 6 grandkids. The kid’s skied during the day, and at night we enjoyed the “ cabin life “ eating, drinking, pool table, fire place, etc. there is ample space for our family of 14 and plenty of activities for all ages. We plan to make it a family tradition. Steve was a pleasure to work with. Great communication and very helpful. Thanks again

This lake house was the perfect spot for a weekend getaway. The views and access to the lake and surrounding area was great. The kitchen had everything you could need and the living room with the fireplace was perfect spot to relax. The only areas needing improvement was the downstairs shower. Only one of the heads worked. The beds are not very comfortable but adequate..

My family stayed here for Thanksgiving weekend and it was everything we hoped for and more. The house was so warm and inviting, and even with 7 adults and 2 children we had tons of space so we weren't on top of each other. The game room was a hit, and we enjoyed the many board games and books. The overlarge refrigerator came in handy, and the kitchen was well stocked. The lake views were top tier and Steve was the most friendly and accomodating host. Thank you for such a lovely home.

The house and property are great. Very cozy and comfortable. We spent chilly nights at the big outside fire pit. Couldn’t beat watching the college football games inside on the big screens. Fun games of pool, kayaking out catching the sunset and even the early morning coffees watching all the wildlife from the deck made everyone happy for a perfect long weekend with family.
