Gebuchte Suite war sehr geräumig und komfortabel so wie man es sich wünscht. Minibar inkl der Getränke auch Wein und Sekt jeden Tag kostenlos und super Whirlpool. Frühstück sehr gut und ein sehr freundliches Personal was Wuensche erfüllt. Auch großes Lob an Rezeption: sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Matratze im Zimmer könnte eine ganz große sein und keine getrennte

Schönes und ruhiges Hotel in zentraler Lage von Halle/Saale

Sehr gutes Frühstücksbuffet, reichlich und vielseitig. Sehr lecker. Schönes. großes und ruhiges Zimmer. Lage des Hotels sehr gut, da zentral. Auf diese Weise alle angepeilten Ziele zu Fuß erreicht.

Superb

The breakfast was very good. The arrangement of food was good also the arrangement of the tables. The room was not to small. The location was in near the center of the city.

The restaurant is good and they have room service offer 3 meals as well. Waiters are pretty nice and welcoming.

I don't like room; the furniture tend to be vey old. Bed is uncomfortable Light is not good as well. So expensive compared to the level of quality. There is guest kit

Great hotel in a quiet location and very convenient for the station. Friendly helpful staff and the breakfast selection was excellent. Quiet and comfy well sized rooms and only a short walk to the centre and main square.

A convenient place to stay in Halle

Comfortable big room, friendly staff, nice breakfast (with a very complete choice). Easy public parking next door.

Pity that there is literally nothing in the mini bar (not even water). The lobby and breakfast area is quite dark ; it is missing some light and a colorful spark.

If you’ve previously lodged in Leipzig, then you might seriously consider nearby Halle as an alternative travel hub for a return visit to the area, ideally positioned as it is near the intersection of western Saxony, Thuringia, and Saxony-Anhalt. In addition to its own fine museums, the city is a superior launching point for day excursions to outstanding sights in the area, such as Burg Falkenstein. And if you do stay in Halle, then I would heartily recommend that you opt for this splendid property — the best choice in Halle, by far. It met all three of my usual qualifications (proximity to the Hauptbahnhof, a carpeted room, and air conditioning) and exceeded them. My room was wonderfully large and comfortable, with a fine desk, and even had a balcony. The staff were exemplary: not only did they take care of my laundry needs, but, although I had the misfortune of losing my room key card (twice! — something that has never happened to me before or since), they provided me with replacement cards on both occasions free of charge. And the Dorint Charlottenhof’s breakfast was the best that I ever had during my entire six-week German tour, featuring both Nürnberger-style Würstchen and Frikadellen in addition to bacon as accompaniments to the scrambled eggs, as well as pancakes — with maple syrup, no less. A slightly more affordable hotel with carpeted rooms and air conditioning is available in Halle a few steps closer to the Hauptbahnhof, but on a hunch, I chose this one instead and was delighted with my selection, due to its far more attractive, spacious, and comfortable rooms, its peerless staff, and its unbeatable breakfast offerings. I would gladly stay here again and wouldn’t even consider any alternatives.

Although the Dorint Charlottenhof is excellent and worth every penny, one can always identify opportunities for improvement. The weather in Halle was unseasonably cold when I arrived, and this hotel, like many in Germany, turns off its heating system altogether for the summer months, so my room was, at first, rather chilly. Upon mentioning this to the staff, though, they immediately provided me with a very good space heater, which kept my room warm for my entire four-day stay, so I can hardly count this as a material failing. A 6:00 breakfast start would be much preferable to the hotel’s current schedule (6:30 during the week, and 7:00 on the weekends, which really is too late, and erodes sightseeing time). The bath towels could be larger, and the hotel didn’t offer slippers or a bathrobe, as some hotels at this price point do. And finally, the property is a wee bit farther away from the Hauptbahnhof than one would consider ideal (an inevitable consequence of the fact that a highway overpass is positioned between the central station and the rest of the city — chalk this up to poor postwar town planning). But the Dorint Charlottenhof’s many strengths far outweigh these minor drawbacks. If you stay in Halle, this is unquestionably your best option.
