About this apartment rental
Nestled within the heart of one of the most beautiful streets in the Central West End, this unique and dramatic space (20ft ceilings!) is steps from a wide variety of local cafes, shops, art galleries, parks, and bars. A truly walkable neighborhood! This space occupies the first and second floor of a historic three-unit apartment building that has been completely renovated. Enjoy the front and rear patios to relax and unwind. Walking distance to Barnes Hospital. Free street parking is available.
This boutique apartment was recently renovated, yet still preserves many historic architectural details. The apartment occupies the 1st and 2nd floors of the building and has private front and rear entrances.
The dramatic open living room features 20ft ceilings and a 16'x6' window; flooding the space with natural light. Climb the wrought iron spiral staircase leading to the primary bedroom loft. There's also an additional rear staircase with access to the second floor that connects the back two bedrooms. Enjoy the large front patio to watch the neighborhood stroll by. If you'd prefer more privacy, we have an additional brick patio at the rear of the building with a table, charcoal grill, fire pit, and patio furniture.
Please note: This location is on a quiet area of the street so guests can walk to the action without having to be in the bustle of this popular area. While perfect for a family stay, it cannot support more than the listed number of guests.
We have TVs in both the living room and lofted primary bedroom.
Beds: We have a king size bed in the primary bedroom/loft (which is open to the living room below), a queen bed in the 2nd bedroom (open to the back stairwell leading to the ground floor bedroom), and a king bed in the 3rd bedroom (closed to the living room, but open to the stairwell up to the 2nd floor bedroom).
The 2nd floor bathroom has an enclosed bathtub and shower unit and the ground floor full bath has a shower.
Parking is free street parking out front.
You will have sole access to the apartment itself with a private entrance. Access to the shared front brick patio and the fenced patio backyard are also available for your enjoyment.
We are local to St. Louis and can be reached via AirBnB message.
The Central West End (CWE) is the most walkable cosmopolitan neighborhood in St Louis. From amazing Forest Park, to the broad selection of cafes, art galleries, shops and bars, this neighborhood offers any visitor an immersive neighborhood experience - no car needed! This space is located on a quintessential CWE street boasting mature trees, wide streets with sidewalks, beautiful historic architecture, and set-back homes with ornate front patios and gardens. Please search online for the "CWE Scene" for more detailed info on the neighborhood (Airbnb won't let us post the website).
The apartment is within walking distance of Cortex and Barnes Jewish Hospital (BJC). A short drive to Washington University (WashU), and Forest Park. 10 minutes from Downtown St. Louis and Busch Stadium, as well as music venues such as Peabody Opera House and Fox Theatre. Easily accessible via Hwy 64/40.
St. Louis Zoo, Aquarium, City Museum, and the Magic House are all within a 7-15 minute drive
While there are many attractions within walking distance, you can easily get around the city via the Metrolink or the bus system. The CWE Metrolink station is only 1 mile from the house - a 15 min walk up Euclid through the heart of the CWE. Uber, Lyft, and taxi services are also available.
The 2nd and 3rd bedrooms, while on different floors, are connected by an open staircase. There is complete visual privacy, but some noise can travel between these two rooms.
No parties are allowed. This apartment is one of three units in the building and the neighborhood is quiet at night. The owner of the building lives on-site and we strictly enforce our no party rule and noise policy.
Parking is free on the street out front.
Most of our apartments are in historic multi-unit buildings, and this particular one is in someone's home. In order to ensure all of our guests have a peaceful stay, we have set quiet hours between 10:00pm-8:00am. We ask that all guests keep excessive noise to a minimum during these hours as noise can travel between the units.
Noise/party policy: Due to a handful of guests throwing parties and/or being excessively loud, we've had to enact a strict no-party/excessive noise policy that may include a fine. If parties are held or guests are excessively noisy, there may be a fine of up to $500 charged to the offending party. While we hate to be such sticklers and want to be as welcoming as possible, we have found this rule has greatly helped deter parties/excessive noise, and ensures everyone's quiet enjoyment of the space.
Additional guests may incur a fee of $25/guest.
Smoking is absolutely not allowed inside. $500 penalty will be charged to anyone who smokes inside or close enough to the house with a door or window open so that the house smells of smoke on the inside.
Due to the owner of the home having severe allergies, we are unable to accept service animals in our home. We apologize for the inconvenience.

My wife and I stayed here for four nights with a 4 year old, 2 year old, and baby. Excellent! We'd gladly stay again.

Great area! The communication was wonderful and the place was very clean and cozy! Would definitely stay here again.

Clean. Comfortable. Great location with walking to ice cream, Pi Pizza, a delightful wine/cocktail bar. Would stay here again.

Great CWE property. We are from STL and love the neighborhood. Only complaint was key pad wasn’t working but owner was extremely responsive and there was key box onsite that gave us access. Only problem was there was only one key so family had to make sure Key was left if we were not together. Unit was clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend.

Convenient; great for our family of 5. We have 2 teens and a 9 yr old. Hosts were easy to reach and very helpful. Comfortable beds and very clean.

We loved staying at this charming house in the CWE! It was clean, quiet, and parking was easy. The hosts were incredibly responsive (small maintenance issue handled immediately) and checked in to make sure everything was going well. Kitchen has well stocked essentials for a longer stay. Close to tons of restaurants and shops. We would definitely book again!

My husband and our 5-year old stayed here for four nights this spring. The apartment was clean and comfortable. Snacks and noise machines were very appreciated. It was a perfect spot for us. We loved exploring the CWE and walking to so many places. I highly recommend this place!

We stayed here for spring break with our 4 kids, ages 10 and 11. The space is beautiful and our kids were super impressed with how cool and aesthetic it was. The kitchen is well stocked and there is a great gourmet grocery within walking distance. Lots of nice little touches in the unit -- toiletries, chocolates on our pillows when we arrived, snacks, etc. We loved the convenience of two bathrooms, a washer/dryer, and the front patio for coffee in the morning or a cocktail at the end of the day. Basically, the place had everything we could have wanted or needed. And a fireplace! I could go on and on about the beautiful neighborhood too -- book shop, pizza, ice cream, a great Mexican restaurant and coffee within blocks and Forest Park is a short, pretty walk away. We didn't need anything from the owners but they were easily accessible via text or messaging and checked in a couple times to welcome us and say goodbye. Overall, a perfect stay for a family!

Everyone in our party agreed that this was one of the top VRBO stays we've had. The space is trendy while leaning into the architecture. The beds were super comfortable. We loved getting to relax and chat in front of the fireplace at the end of a long day. Having snacks on site to throw in my bag was so helpful and thoughtful. There were days where I didn't have a chance to eat lunch and those snacks really saved me. Our conference was at America's Center and this was the right distance away to quickly drive in while also being enough away from the added bustle at the Convention Center. On top of all that, the neighborhood is quaint and walkable. There are some great little restaurants and shopping gems. Our hosts were easy to contact and we're especially helpful when we had a small hiccup with the entry code. Don't miss out on the chance to stay here.

Jenna & Hannah’s home was perfect for our family of four. Clean, well stocked, thoughtful snacks and bottles of water bedside. Location in the CWE was great. We walked to dinner almost every night. Thank you, Jenna & Hannah!

Hannah and Jenna's property in the CWE was perfect for our weekend. We were visiting a student at Wash. U. who also lives in the CWE. The proximity to our friend's son's apartment was ideal. The property was also a walkable distance many great restaurants and bars. The rental was everything the listing says! Clean, comfortable and well appointed. The beds were comfortable, the towels were great and there were a few more much appreciated special touches!

We’ve stayed here 2 different times and will be back again. The location is perfect and the house is super clean, modern yet also homey.

Pro's-The property was exactly as described and had very comfortable beds. The decor was very modern and aesthetically pleasing. Easy to get to most attractions in St. Louis. Available street parking near the property. Nice amenities especially in the kitchen, most basics available to start preparing food.
Con's- Encountered a few centipedes on the first floor. Cleaning issues with the laundry room and dressers in the bedrooms.
Overall great place to stay.

This was the perfect little condo for a quick visit back to St. Louis. We loved the location! It was so easy to just walk out the front door and explore the CWE. Everything was wonderful except we found out a couple days before arriving that the master bath shower was out of commission. I would suggest to maybe add robes in the other two bedrooms as they were only provided for the master bedroom and my roomy didn't know I didn't have one.

Love this VRBO! The fireplace makes it COZY!! The owners were available before, during and after our stay! If arriving late in the evening, don’t worry after having coffee and breakfast for the next day! Ample supplies of everything any one would want. So gratefully appreciated!!

We had four ladies ranging from 55 to 80 years old. The place was perfect for our group. We love that there was one bedroom and bathroom on the main level with no stairs. for my mom. The place is as cute as the pictures and as clean as could be. There were many extra touches to this unit that made our stay very enjoyable. We were within walking distance to great restaurants and grocery stores. Hannah and Janna were very quick to respond when asked questions. We would all definitely stay here again!
Thanks for the great hospitality!

When I was looking for a place to stay when visiting my son I saw this place.
When I saw this place I fell in LOVE with it,I asked my son how far it was from him and he said 3 blocks. At that point I knew I wanted to stay here. The pictures are great but seeing this gorgeous place in person took my breath away when I walked in and toured around and went up the spiral staircase and looked around then it went back to another room in back then another staircase going down the back it was really awesomely cool. I will definitely stay here again when visiting my son. Jenna & Hannah had bottles of water at each side of the bed and oh so yummylicious chocolates on each bed and also had a large assortment of snacks and goodies on the table for when we went out on our trips each day. I will be looking forward to my next stay, thanks for having us at your awesome house Jenna and Hannah.

Great family gathering
Property owners were attentive and had plenty of snacks available. It is a great location so that people can get out to explore the area and walk to restaurants. Front and back patio areas for morning coffee and evening time outside. Plenty of room to spread out for people to “ work from home.” We would stay again.

Great St. Louis rental!
Great property! It was very close to all things St. Louis! It was about 10-20 minutes for all major family attractions. It was very close to amenities such as grocery stores and restaurants as well. We could walk to several restaurants, which was nice (ribs, ice cream, Mexican, wine bar, etc). It was a safe area. We felt completely safe walking and many residents were out walking their dogs. They always said hi and let us pet the dogs. Parking was very easy. We never had any trouble finding a spot (we stayed Monday-Friday however). There is street sweeping occasionally so be sure to watch the parking signs (2nd Wednesday and Thursday of the month from 8:30-noon, alternating sides, they do ticket). Check-in and check-out was painless and easy. Quick response time from owners if we had a question. The rental is just as is in the pictures, no surprises. As the owners stated in the listing, this rental is not kid proof. Our youngest was 4 and we had no problems though. We loved that they had so many little unexpected touches in the property. They had chocolates on our beds, water bottles for us in each bedroom, shampoo/conditioner/body wash in showers, a basket of snacks, coffee/tea, spices/oil for cooking, ziplock bags, containers for leftovers, etc. I would rate cleanliness 4.5 stars if I could....there were a couple dead flies and spider webs in remote corners. Nothing major, no hair in the showers, dirt on the floors or anything of the like. We would come back for sure!

Hannah and Jenna were super helpful and easy to work with. The property was clean and comfortable. They had the kitchen and bathrooms stocked. We spent most of our time out and about but found most everything we wanted to do was within a 15 min drive so great location also.

Thanksgiving in St. Louis
My family spent the Thanksgiving holiday in this beautiful industrial-modern home. Hannah and Jenna are incredibly gracious and their thoughfulness is evident with the many fabulous details of this property, from the built-in towel warmers to the array of snacks that welcomed us when we arrived. The kitchen is well stocked with basic needs and it was a delight to be able to cook in this space. The neighborhood is beautiful and quiet with several great restarurants and shops within walking distance. We loved our stay.
Thank you, Hannah and Jenna, for being such wonderful hosts!

The home is adorable and the kitchen, bedding, bathrooms, and towels were all very clean. The amenities provided were much appreciated. The little things mean so much: robes (!!!!), plenty of hangers, silverware, cups, mugs, dishes, towels, pillows and snacks. It is clear that the hosts take pride in providing a great experience.
During our stay, the Air Conditioning broke. The seller responded immediately. Within minutes, a technician was at the house. It was fixed in record time. Very impressive.
We will definitely stay here again.
