It is near a beach
Don’t stay here. Please.
These days wifi is like water and electricity. You should just have it. Their’s is so slow it’s like filling a kettle with a dripping tap.
Or only one bulb working on the apartment.
Yes you can pay more to get ‘average’ internet, but their free internet you can forget the odd work video conference or your kids playing a game.
And sure it is acceptable that the free internet in the public park in Moldova is over 100 times faster than this hotel’s internet.
You can fit between the wall and the bed - if you walk sideways.
And I suppose it’s unreasonable to ask management to put a note under your appartments door before they change the front door access code. We all want to wait an hour outside while the reception is unmanned.

Excellent location with port views. A few restaurants/takeaway within 5 mins walk and a small grocery store. Walk about 20mins for more grocery stores, surf shops and restaurants/takeaway. Beach just 5mins walk. Once there you can park the car and leave it. You can walk to the centre of Hendaye along the promenade which also goes to Irun in Spain. Staff friendly and helpful at reception. Apartment comfortable and equipped with everything you need. Advise to book the hotel car park for a fee because the car parks are expensive.

The area, quiet, beautiful view, nice
No towels were brought to me for 2 weeks while I was there, not to mention the linen on the bed to be changed, the garbage not to be taken out, the staff did not want to speak English and only French, a very uncomfortable experience

- friendly staff
- pool
- good sized room with dishwasher and nice balcony.
- very near to (surf) beach and harbour area with supermarket. Surf rental, (Decathlon) water sports store and fish store in easy walking distance.
- only limited (and paid) private parking. We had to park outside (relatively easy) for 30 euro a day.
- limited reception hours;
- the beds were like cabins in a boat, so we felt a bit locked in them. But the matrasses were ok.
- We were in room 317 next to the elevator. You could hear it move, but it didnt really bother us.

The location is perfect and the apartment was clean and comfortable. There was everything I needed.
The staff was not available at all times. I was required to take the garbage to a very creepy spot in the garage.

A few positive things :
- The location : you could not be closer to the Hendaye-Hondarribia shuttles (literally less than thirty seconds from the residence) ; close to both the beach and the bay of Txingudi, of course far away from the city centre and the main station, but it is very logical since both are far away from the beach, you cannot have your cake and eat it too ;
- I had a large apartment with an also large balcony (they probably upgraded me), the balcony looked out onto a very quiet courtyard ;
- The apartment had a bathtub and all the usual household equipments.
A lot of disappointing issues :
- First of all, the Wi-Fi. You can surely try to use the free Wi-Fi, but you will surely not enjoy it at all because it is very, very, very slow and sometimes unable to load even basic websites. I am not talking of downloading 4k movies: even a simple Wikipedia page can require thirty seconds to load, videos can be watched if you accept a pixelated clarity AND go on the page in advance so that your browser can slowly load it... I drew the staff's attention on this matter, they sent me a technician who probably did the best that he could do with what was at his disposal but did not solve anything.
- This first issue is all the more problematic as you cannot rely on your own internet connection sharing, given that, maybe due to the proximity of Spain, it is very slow too.
- The bed settee was really awful, it was impossible to fall asleep inside given how creaking and uncomfortable it was. Luckily for me, I had plenty of individual beds at my disposal inside the apartment, which were neither wide nor long, but at least were actual beds.
- No staff on Wednesday. They surely leave the keys and give you appropriate instructions so you can retrieve it, but it is still quite unwelcoming to arrive and find an empty reception.
- Before you leave, you have to clean your apartment, but you have to do it with no sponge, no washing-up liquid, no vacuum cleaner... You have to content yourself with just a short-handled brush. Just as well that I did not spend a lot of time inside the apartment or used any of the household equipments...
- The apartment was far from being in a perfect state of preservation and had plenty scratches and use-related imperfections.
- Having a shower was very uncomfortable as the ceiling height was small.
