Beautiful view from the bedroom. Really lovely garden rooms for relaxing.

the views!!
nothing. everything was perfect.
4.5
We stayed in a lovely cabin with a view of the fjord. Had dinner in the hotel restaurant and it was very good. Also the breakfast was quite extensive and they would cook hot breakfast for you.
4.5
Wonderful location directly on the fjord and close to the ferry,
super friendly and dedicated staff,
they were so kind and gave us a bigger room than we had reserved,
we definitely recommend trying the restaurant - they have excellent dinner (it was the best dinner of our whole trip!),
parking in front of the house
the furniture in the room was a bit old-fashioned - but the loving owners and the delicious dinner with a magnificent view onto the fjord more than compensated this.

The staff was friendly and the food was outstanding.
Nothing!

Wale watching and glacier view out of the Restaurant.

The very large room was all renovated with electric beds (I'd never seen this before in a hotel). The hotel as many different places where to sit and relax inside and outside. Very charming.
The service is a bit amateur but it works.
4.5
the most beautiful location and the most gracious staff members. the food was incredible as well.

We loved looking at the fjord right outside our window. Dinner (soups and fish) excellent and we thought the concept of ordering breakfast in advance was a good idea in order to avoid wasting food.
You need a car if you want to explore Balestrand (10 km drive) which offers nice Cafes and an excellent museum on tourism.
4.5
Incredible views from our room and throughout the property. Public transport provides Easy access to Balestrand and other sights in the area. excellent breakfast and dinner. Good wifi.

View to the Fjord
Hotel 10 km separated from Balestrand, not possible to walk
4.5
The setting of this hotel could not have been more dreamy. It is located on a peninsula between several fingers of the fjord, so you have spectacular views everywhere you look. The property takes advantage of this by offering many outdoor spaces and seating for guests to enjoy. The dining room windows are huge and the view is so great you might forget to eat, but the breakfast is so tasty and generous be sure not to miss it. The staff was very helpful with suggestions for what to do in the area. The 820 bus stops right in front of the hotel so it is easy to get back to Balestrand without a car. There are nature trails, a little arboretum, and a marvelous swimming area within walking distance. There is a refrigerator in the room.
The room was a bit noisy. We could hear our upstairs neighbors. There are also no blackout curtains in the room which made sleeping a little tricky for us travelers not used to the darkless nights.
4.5
It is the start of the Gaularfjellet touristic route. Highly recommended to drive this route and visit some of the waterfalls.
The room was noisy. But there is not much traffic so this was not a big problem. The room is quite outdated.
4.5
The room view was exceptional. The staff were very helpful.
The breakfast could be improved but not as good.
4.5
Amazing views. Magnar is an exceptional host. Dinner should get a Michelin star.
4.5
The location was absolutely superb and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room had a balcony looking out over the water. The evening meals were of an exceptional standard.
A VERY minor point. The system for pre-ordering breakfast was rather odd and I feel that a breakfast buffet or a proper menu would be more suitable. However, the food was good.

This is a wonderful property across from
Balestrand (about one mile from Balestrand as crow flies but about 6 miles by road). You will want to book hotel transport if you arrive by passenger ferry to Balestrand.
( Dragsvik is where the car ferry arrives). BUT this hotel is exceptional with fabulous dining, lovely common areas, wonderful owners and staff, great breakfast, a added well-appointed bathroom/room. Our stay here (and the dinners!!) was exceptional Just plan on paying for some transport to/from Balestrand. We did that for one day of long walk and noodling around the town, then loved returning to Dragsvik Hotel. Made the two night stay magical.
4.5
Amazing views from the room and the restaurant. Great location for road trips and ferry access. Balestrand is only 10mins away. Staff are very friendly and personal. Great family run hotel.
Some parts are a bit outdated.

Awesome view from our room. Comfortable beds. Delicious food at the restaurant. Areas around the hotel are amazing for people who enjoy nature.
