My Visitors from the U.S. & I had an AMAZING Stay..

We were fortunate to be "upgraded" to a Penthouse Suite. The View out over the Bay was Amazing.. !!

Looks great but isn't

Good location on sea front and in the heart of Kingscote Staff resolved a booking error which meant we had two identical reservations

Might be one of the better hotels on Kangaroo Island but disappointing by most standards. Pool area very poor - outside back of hotel with no ambiance. Dining room was big and impersonable - set up for coach loads of visitors - not small groups Food choice and standard poor. Separate bar was not open Our superior ground floor room had a patio which opened onto main road and pavement - zero privacy.

pleasant stay ! kangaroo Island was just the best !

very nice hotel , our room was small , but it was all we needed . Staff very welcoming . Nice location , we used it as a base to explore the beautiful Kangaroo Island !

Kangaroo island is exceptional and the regeneration following the fires was brilliant.

View was great. Room was very good. Location was probably not the best I hoped for!!

the worst bar fridge we have encountered from Perth to here!! Would have liked facilities for a very early departure (3.30am) like bowls for our cereal Distance from the ferry was unexpected - sad!

enjoyed but came home exhausted from lack of sleep, and uncomfortable room

location was terrific

whilst I booked a ‘heritage’ room , it was smaller than a caravan (had there been a queen bed, you would not have been able to walk around it) and looking at the map on the door, the smallest in the hotel. located at the top of a staircase (only way up and down) there was NO privacy , resounding voices as it was the meeting point for travellers, people up and down at various hours and on one evening , children at a function downstairs treated it as their playground. no tabletop or seating in the room other than the bed - which took up the whole room, no opening window other than a small hopper Room fine for 1 or 2 nights if just looking for a ‘heads down’ at most, but not for 4 as it became claustrophobic and very uncomfortable, not a room to rest or take a break at all.

Nice enough that I didnt mind the high cost (as much)

Great view through the front window and from the 1st floor balcony, good strong water pressure for the shower, very handy to the pub for meals and socialising, easy access to car free parking (both in front and across the road).

It was pretty expensive when all we were after was a clean room for 2 for a few nights - though it was the KI cup weekend and the last one available so not altogether surprising. Carpeted stairs up to the (1st floor) room could be a problem for some people.

Great location. We had a lovely room and newly renovated bathroom. Love the shampoo etc amenities.

Restaurant staff were rude. Breakfast was not great and expensive at $25. I wouldn’t recommend eating there.

Lovely spot, great service

Loved the waterfront restaurant and clean rooms. Staff were kind and helpful. Millie was especially awesome, so cheery and nice.

Bitten by mozzies all night and scrambled eggs were really average.
