I liked that they are improving the hotel always and taking care of everything. You feel like you are home, quite a place and amazing staff. Perfect location, this is the 4th time I've been there.

We genuinely loved staying at Horus House and were sad to leave! Huge thanks to the staff members, every single one of whom was so warm and fun to talk to, and who helped us with any and all questions we had. It was very easy for us to feel at home and we’re looking forward to coming back here on future Cairo visits. Rooms, both superior and standard, were kept nice and clean. For relaxing in the evenings or mornings there is the spacious shared balcony to sit comfortably in the shade with a lovely view. The location in Zamalek is great, too: walking distance to lots of nice restaurants and cafés and to the legendary record shops in the Egyptian Towers down the road.

Great, quiet location in a lovely neighborhood. Hotel is nice and clean if rather basic and unassuming. Staff were curious, efficient and kind. Well priced for this high end area, but more expensive than downtown (but in return you get Zamalek's quiet over downtown's hot mess).

The hotel is an oasis of calm in the middle of a very busy city.

Pricy for the quality of the rooms.

The staff was very helpful and friendly and I was able to communicate in English.
I think there can be an improvement in the cleanliness. The shower and the desk/nightstands can be in better conditions.

The staff is great, super helpful and dedicated. The location is very convenient.
The installations are quite old.

It has very good location in Zamalek but you have to walk around several times to investigate surroundings, find restaurants, pubs etc. After that the location is superb. The room is ok but old. The breakfast is basic but it was enough for me.
Electricity was out several times. Room smells smoke but it is a common Egyptian problem.

Nothing
The Hotel has a creepy entrance, there are holes and Bugs in the sheets and the recepcionist scammed me with a 4x priced taxi to the airport. I Will definetly not come back and i will not recommend this to anybody.

Location was really good, walking distance to main food street
Im a firm believer of getting what your are paying for. But unfortunately this stay was way below avarage for me.
Really horrible internet, if it works for 15 min continually your are lucky, worst thing that i experienced is the power cuts throughout my last night at the hotel, staring from 3 am till 10 am there was no electricity,
They were kind enough to move me to a different room, which had electricity... For only 30 min then it all went out.
To add to my displeasure, during checkout i overheard the receptionist explaining to a guest the different type of room. So i went up to him and asked him what type of room is 209 were he told me its a standard room, i checked my booking detail and sure enough i was booked in a wrong room, i should have been staying in a superior as per my booking details.

Although I'm used to a bit more hearty breakfast (a big pot of hot Ful would be great), the coffee and variety was OK. There was sweet bread/cake that was excellent.

Very good location. Lots of nice restaurants and a supermarket closeby. Nice people. Good airconditioning. Quiet at night.
The room is a bit outdated but for this price this was not a problem for us.

Rooms were clean, the staff is nice and helpful, the water is good, over all comfy and nice
Wifi was bad most of the time in the room but in the reception it was good, it's a bit old and a bit expensive imo.

I stayed for one night, my small single room had everything I needed, It was perfect for me. The hotel is easy to reach and restuarants, cafes and shops in zmalaek were within few minutes walk from the hotel, also the staff were nice, polite and I felt safe.
1- The AC was on 17 degrees but still it wasn't as cold as I liked the tempreture to be.t maybe it needed to be rechagred!
2- There was smell of dust in the room.
3- besides the door handle lock, an added extra safty door lock at the top of the door would be a plus for solo female guests.

The hotel is situated in a nice old building with marble staircases. The staff are professional and attentive. We had a large room which had been fleshly decorated.
No satellite tv
