Basic apartment that was clean and walking distance to most things. It met our needs for 3 nts.

Excellent service from the lady at the front desk (so sorry but I lost the note with her name). Very helpful in getting tours booked at the last minute. It was great to have a kitchen and fridge. The Manager was kind enough to take our heavy bags up to our apartment on 1st floor (not ground) on arrival. It's in walking distance to the shopping mall and Esplanade (fairly long walk). We appreciated the instant coffee/tea/milk provided. The washer/dryer were nice to have too.

We were on the 1st floor and no elevator. That's really my fault as apparently I accidentally booked the wrong hotel. I would never book a multifloor accommodation without an elevator. We are in our 70s and on a lengthy trip with a short stay in Cairns so the luggage was a problem leaving so early in the morning but we managed without doing too much damage to ourselves. The shower in #34 needs a grab bar as floor is quite slippery. Beds were a bit too firm for both of us. Needs a memory foam topper or something to soften. Didn't like having to turn the AC off when leaving as it took time to cool off when we returned but I do understand the need to do that.

great place to stay for a short break to see the barrier reef

the apartment was very good value. it was clean and comfortable. they are t luxury but that is reflected in the price. they did the job perfectly. the manager Heinrich was very helpful and carried a very heavy suitcase up the stairs for us

Spacious Unit

Loved how spacious the unit was. It was reasonably close to town and Cairns Central. Great that it was in a secure complex.

The only thing I didn't like was the lounge. You sunk into it so much making it hard work to try and get out of the lounge.

We'd stay again.

Citysider is located just a short walk from the main shopping centre in Cairns. The apartment was very clean and was well equipped. Matthew and Cara were very welcoming and made our stay very enjoyable. The vegetation around the pool area was well maintained as was the pool.

We were in a front apartment so there was some traffic noise.

We had a great time in Cairns and couldn’t thank Matthew enough for his help during our visit.

It was clean and in a good position for restaurants and shops. Matthew looked after us booking trips and being very helpful with lots of great advice.

We didn’t have more time to spend there.

Disappointed for a 4 star review.

The noise from adjoining appartments was an issue. Also the old wall air conditioners were that loud we couldn’t hear the T.V or have a conversation over them. Ants were a continual problem. Kitchen had lots of cupboards but nothing in them. No public transport to property and the nearest supermarket was a 15 minute walk. pool was great but garden was overgrown with weeds.

No public transport. All appliances need replacing.

Comfy beds, nice clean apartment and the whole complex was well looked after. If you are not sure about anything ask Matthew.

Beautiful Cairns

The rooms and beds were comfortable.

Office hour were very short. Never there when you wanted them. Also never answered the phone when you rang. Fire Alarm in room was faulty. Went of at 12.25am in morning for no reason. Scared us , no one came to investgate it finally after about 5 min it went of by itself. We had no clue what to do. Matness was called in day latter as it took time to contact manager. Not enough toilet paper for 5 nights. Used same towels all week as they were not replaced.

it’s a great spot , not too far from the City centre .Unit very clean, nice pool and bbq area to relax in ..

Matthew the host very friendly helpful person . Told Matthew were are a couple of old guys and could he possibly put us on a ground floor or first floor ,he accommodated us with ground floor and very nice 2 bedroom unit .. Thank you ..

The pool area was lovely. Location was good.

The apartment we were put in was not like advertised photos. It is run down,aircon needs attention and beds were not very comfortable. On ground floor there was a lot of noise from apartments above. I had asked for top floor with balcony. I think booking.com customers are treated differently to those who book direct.

Quiet but distant from facilities.

Apartment was spacious, washing machine was good, everything was clean. Pool area was nice and balcony was nice to have. There is a coffee shop to your right on the same side of the street but we didn't spot it till our last day. Apartment was quiet other than air conditioner. It and other things need updating.

No supermarket or restaurants nearby. Really you need a car. Be prepared with supplies if you want to cook . No condiments etc provided. There is dishwashing and some soap powder, tea and coffee. It is a long walk to town and there is no bus nearby. We used Uber a bit. Air con is noisy but we used the lounge one instead of the bedroom and that with fan was ok. Mattress was a bit hard.
