Cute little bungalow with beautiful plants, deck and artwork. We loved all the personal touches. Our kids enjoyed sleeping in the bed up top.
We would have preferred a full door to the bathroom and a shower that didn’t spill onto the floor. That said, we loved the thought and artistic vision.
The bungalow is like an ADU next to the main home. Everything inside and on the grounds has an artistic flare to it. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

My family needed a fun and relaxing place to stay while visiting from inland San Diego county. The large trees along with the fun outdoor space created an amazing time of bbq and outdoor games. The interior was so fun and welcoming. Thanks to the very friendly and inviting hosts we will definitely be using the TomKat oasis again!

The cottage was cozy and well appointed. Works well for two people, but with three it would be more challenging. Perhaps a better bathroom door would help.

Perfect spot for my daughters to stay for a long weekend. The house was charming, clean, very comfortable and my teen said she never slept so well! This spot was close to everything we needed, including our friends who live close by. Such an easy breezy spot. Will definitely be back!! Thank you!

We enjoyed the property, the outdoor space, and all the creative additions. We loved all the thoughtful amenities provided by the owners, like fresh flowers and fresh fruit from the property. They were communicative, and helpful. As this is our hometown, we will definitely be returning to this property in the future. We loved every aspect, thank YOU Tom and Kathy!!

We had a lovely stay at TomKat! The place was larger and more spacious than we expected, with lots of charming details and all the basics well covered. The nice outdoor sitting area is great. We met the hosts and they were super gracious and friendly. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed in this beautiful cottage while our granddaughter attended a weekend orientation at SLO. Kathy and Tom have created a unique and marvelous place under amazing trees, that has been decorated with imagination and love!
Cozy beds, an amazing shower, and special touches like fresh flowers and a personal note, all combine to make this lovely cottage feel like coming home♥️

This was our second time to stay with Tom & Kathy at their secluded little bungalow. We enjoyed it so much last year that we could hardly wait to return. Comfortable, quiet, and restful beneath the spreading branches of their century old black walnut tree we sipped wine on the deck and were entertained by the troop of grey squirrels that live in the tree. Hated to leave. Can’t wait to come back.

This stay is a detached dwelling on the owner’s residential property. They have thoughtfully delineated a generous outdoor area to relax under a solid canopy of mature trees.
Indoors we had all the amenities we needed for a family of four. The finishes and decor exhibited the attentiveness of the owners in creating a novel and comfortable atmosphere.
For July we found the deck off the entry to be a great place to relax, read and converse. Most of our meals we prepared outdoors on the bbq. Be aware of the appliances provided in the especially cute and rustic kitchen. If you are planning to cook in substantial volumes or during a wetter season you may find the accommodations slightly limiting. We prepared a number of meals with no issues.
The bathroom was notably delightful. As a general practice I make drying the shower after us a habit. The enclosure-less shower really necessitates this practice, so I would encourage reserving this stay with a commitment to not neglect this chore.
Thoughtful tips and instructions are provided in a manual and on well placed notes. Suggested activities and dining options are provided as well. Downtown Atascadero is literally right down the street. Cross the bridge over Atascadero Creek to the south and you are transported from a quiet mature neighborhood to buzz and chill vibe of this vibrant inland coastal town.
For a couple or small family with self contained youth this place is really something special.

Had another great stay at the TomKat Oasis. The owners are very gracious and have created a very inviting space to kick back after a day of wine tasting in Paso. Highly recommend.

This is a great place to stay in Atascadero. Tom and Cat are both great hosts. The check-in was seamless. Great parking. Very clean. All the necessary amenities. I would describe the furnishings as eclectic (in a good way) and interesting. The whole place just works. The best part is the adjacent porch and the front lawn to the whole property which is available to guest. Relaxing place to be.

What A great location. So close to Paso Robles and rural. Private entry and so excessible. The yard was an oasis along with the visiting wild life and cats. The house was very cute, with its Farmhouse decorations. So appreciated the comfy beds. Perfect for a family or group who does not need their own private space. I would definitely stay again! Thanks TomKat.

Great outdoor space with fire pit and plenty of seating. Inside home is very nicely designed and comfortable.
Some electrical power issues with high drain devices running simultaneously but very friendly, helpful and easy to communicate with hosts who brought over their air fryer when we couldn't turn on the one in the house.

A Magical Retreat
From the delightfully whimsical and comfortable interior to the welcoming deck and patio, sheltered by the arms of an aged black walnut, this wonderful cottage begged us to relax and slow down. It was so lovely that I extended our stay an extra day. We hope to return soon to hike and bike the nearby trails and explore the quaint downtown of Atascadero. And its just a hop & a skip from the communities of San Luis Obispo, Morro Bay and Paso Robles. Can’t wait to come back.

Thanks, Katherine

Lovely private spot with great outdoor and indoor spaces
Beautiful and quiet spot. In a neighborhood, but private and serene. Wonderful hosts even supplied us with just-picked apricots from their tree.

Truly a lovely property. We never even saw the owners but they made check in so easy and we were greeted by fresh flowers which was a nice touch. The place is exactly as pictured. We would absolutely stay here again!

Cute Cabin
We were out most of the day so didn't get to enjoy the patio. We also didn't use the kitchen area very much. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom cute and the shower had good water pressure. The floors are even, no step up or down. Very
quaint with plenty of outlets. Good parking. Would definitely stay again.

The property was beautifully located and seemed to be managed with great care. The location was quiet and serene, while also being located close to restaurants and shopping with a short drive. The owners had a binder with some very pleasant recommendations. Plenty of dishes and useful kitchen appliances were available. The owner came to our rescue quickly when a fuse blew and we couldn’t find the fuse box.
My only advice would be to put at least one outlet or access to power by the loft bed. I have a CPAP I needed to plug in, and there were no outlets available. There was a futon, but who pays money to sleep on a futon if you’re not college age? Amirite? 😂
This would be a great romantic getaway. Highly recommend.

Great Get Away Spot for a Relaxing Vacation
We loved staying at the TomKat Oasis which is so perfectly named. It has that "Ahhhh" factor from the lovely deck shaded by a magnificent heritage black walnut tree to the spacious interior. Such a relaxing, inviting guest cabin. The hosts were so nice and welcoming and we were greeted with a plate full of tomatoes, apples and figs from their beautiful garden. We loved relaxing on the deck with a glass of wine at the end of the day and the furnishings were very comfortable and country casual; just our cup of tea. Only regret is that we couldn't stay longer on this trip, but we'll definitely be back!

Central Central Coast
We arrived at the TomKat Cabin to personalized notes from the host and fresh homegrown tomatoes for us to enjoy during our stay. That set the tone right away that we were about to enjoy three nights of comfort and hospitality. The cabin is spotless and decorated in a unique and artistic way, with every element of comfort. The beds are extremely comfortable and the house is extraordinarily clean. Tom and Kathy take great pride in their place and are happy to chat if you so desire but will give you space if that’s what you are looking for. Atascadero is kind of a remote little country town but it is so central to everything in the Central Coast. We took many day trips and anywhere we wanted to go was approximately a 20 minute drive. But then we were excited to return to the cabin so that we could enjoy the gorgeous backyard and giant black walnut tree with it’s family of squirrels. We highly recommend staying at the TomKat Cabin and we were so sad to leave. Thank you Kathy and Tom!
