I will give 9/10 and recommend everyone to stay at Forest hotel

The hotel is 2 mins away from city centre, rooms are excellent, bedding clean white egyptian bedsheets and flat screen TV. Food-fresh breakfast with different options to choose, a bottle of milk and water in a small fridge in the room, different tea bags, pack of chocolate and biscuits in the room. Customer service very friendly and easy to approach.

If you have the opportunity to reside at the Forest Guest House, please take it with both hands.

On arrival we were made so welcome, the information we received concerning South Shields and the surrounding areas were very informative, the breakfast was delicious, the hospitality was second to non, they are such wonderful hosts. We will definitely be returning

Nothing at all, our stay was wonderful, except for the seagulls, but hey, it is a seaside town after all.

Brilliant breakfast the host even changed the sausages for me because i didnt like the ones she normally serves..big plus point for me

Janet and Peter were lovely, home away from home, they are so attentive and very accommodating, nothing is a bother. The

The property is the best guest house we have ever stayed in, it is clean, modern and so very welcoming.

It was very comfortable and would definitely stay again.

The bedroom was very comfortable and loved the added extra of fresh milk and filtered water in the fridge. The bed was very comfortable and everything was very clean. Very good breakfast selection. As a lone traveller felt very safe and welcome.

welcoming, clean and comfortable with an amazing breakfast and very friendly hosts (not forgetting the beautiful cats).

Well presented period property, very homely and welcoming. Right on the bottom of Ocean Road and next to all amenities we needed (pubs and restaurants).

Only thing was the curtains would benefit from a blackout lining as the street lights and tree lights outside were very bright.

An absolute gem.

This was a last minute decision to stay because we needed to be in the area for work. You know that relief when places look as good in real life as they do on the app? That was this. :) When I say impeccably clean, I mean impeccably clean. Our room was beautifully presented, well equipped (including tea, coffee, fresh milk, filter coffee and a fridge), comfortable and had some lovely little extras. I was with my 7 year old and she was made to feel welcome, was served with the best pancakes in the morning and she slept very well (a rarity for her ;) ). The hosts were just lovely: to be greeted with “Come and go as if you were at home” is always going to be a winner and both their chat and their manner was lovely. Breakfast: fantastic. Location was great: 2 minutes walk from the swimming pools, 5 minutes from the nearest beach, with restaurants, takeaways and cafes in abundance. We won’t hesitate to book again if we are in the area. Thank you!

Everything was great with a warm friendly welcome from the owners. Complimentary chocs in room nice touch Breakfast were beautiful Close to town centre and beach Good eating places very nearby Highly recommended Thanks

Good value. Quality breakfast and comfortable bed. Immaculate and recommended.

Lovely hosts. Room immaculate. Breakfast cooked in kitchen where guests sitting / freshly cooked and of good quality. Would def recommend.

Only niggle was the single room was very small but for 1 or 2 nights it is ok.

Lovely comfortable stay. Would highly recommend.

Janet and Peter were excellent hosts. The breakfast was delicious and very substantial. My room was very comfortable and clean with an excellent shower. Some lovely extras like chocolates, milk and water in the room.

My room was three floors up (33 stairs) which was a bit of a struggle for me. However, Peter quickly helped me with my bags both on arrival and departure and Janet assured me if I come again they'll give me a room on the first floor!

Pricey, food good. Not baby friendly.

Lovely, freshly cooked breakfast. Good location for metro. Parking wasa problem, had to drive round for a while looking for a space.

Didn't feel welcomed, despite positive reviews. Decided it was because we had the baby (6) months old who was completely ignored for the duration of our stay. Clearly not baby friendly.

Great place to stay and high review stars aren't exaggerated

Everything. Janet looked after me so well. Highly recommend this place to stay. Room had luxury hotel finishing touches u wouldn't expect in a guesthouse. Breakfast also excellent. Parking nearby, so handy for drivers.
