About this house rental
Simply one of the best and most well-known cabins on the entire lake. At over 10,000 square feet on just two levels it is one of the largest and most spacious cabins available to rent in all of Bear Lake. This is 30%-40% larger than other 6,000-8,000 SF properties that are advertised on VRBO and your family will feel and enjoy the difference! With 13 bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, and 7 water heaters this place was made to handle large groups and still has plenty of space left over for everything needed to keep your group entertained including a home theater room, game room(pool table, Foosball, air hockey, xbox), indoor children’s play room and arcade room, card playing room, as well as two living rooms.
The cabin is conveniently located right on the famous Bear Lake Scenic Bike Trail The whole family will enjoy being able to take a short bike ride into Garden City for treats, shakes, or just to explore. It is also close to the Garden City Park which has beach access and is a great place for the teenagers to go hang out when the rest of the family needs a break.
The kids will love the large INDOOR CHILDREN'S PLAYLAND with a rock climbing wall, arcade games for the older kids (or adults who are still kids at heart), custom indoor treehouse with slides, and plenty of toys for the little ones.
Another feature of this home is the huge theater room which is the perfect place to enjoy a movie night or watch the big game! It can also double as a large gathering area or meeting area for your large group. Also, enjoy 80" flat screen TVs in two of the gathering areas, including above a beautiful mantle over three side-by-side fireplaces in the living area, and in the game room where they can play Xbox or watch a movie while playing pool, air hockey, or foosball. The xbox in the game room comes loaded with over 100 games for children of all ages.
The kitchen is a chefs dream and features three fridges, 2 sets of double ovens (5 ovens total), 2 gas cooktops, double dishwashers, and double sinks. Everything you need to cook for a large group of people. It also includes a large dining area perfect to feed a large group with overflow seating both indoors when needed as well as the outdoor patio which is adjacent to the dining area.
The property sits on .75 acres and has a large back yard with a swing set for the kids and large patio/dining area for outdoor bbq’s. There are two grills on the back patio, one of which is a large 8 burner commercial event grill which can cook up to 65 hamburgers at a time. There is also a fireplace on the patio to enjoy at night and provides a great place for the family to cook s'mores.
The bedrooms are the reason this place is called True Luxury. Of the 13 bedrooms, 10 of them are themed suites. Each suite has a comfy King or Queen pillowtop mattress, and each suite features it's very own bathroom. Each suite also has its very own flat screen TV. And the beautiful back yard has lots of room for the family to play. There's plenty of parking around the house (20 parking spaces total). Of course all linens and towels are provided, and laundry rooms with washers and dryers are on each level. Internet connection provided. No smoking, no pets. Maximum guests: 65.

Property was nice for our family. Some maintenance needed. Accessing instructions on the home was poor and very difficult. The home accommodated us extremely well.

Overall, this place is amazing. We had a very good experience with our family of 38. Everyone had a bed to sleep in. There is lots of room to play, visit, gather, and chill. The kitchen was stocked well with dishes, cookware, and utensils. Three fridges and 4 ovens are great. The backyard is great for cornhole, etc. and the little kids loved the playset.
There were things that caused ratings less than all five stars: The place could use a good deep cleaning and there were some little things that detracted like dead batteries in some of the tv remotes, sinks that drained slowly, and no puck in the air hockey game, to mention a few. These things were minor distractions so the place is great.

Our family had room to have lots of fun plus, also privacy in this large home with many en suite master bedrooms. This could be a great place with a more careful and attentive housekeeping team. We realize it is a large home to clean but a $600.00 cleaning fee should be enough to vacuum and mop well and provide clean bedding. From dirty linens and comforters to unclean flooring (including hair entangled in many of the carpeted areas), the cleanliness was a deterrent for returning here. The home needs some updating of kitchen supplies and more concern when amenities promised are no longer working or even there. All in all, the children had lots of fun. We overlooked the water running through the driveway leaving slippery moss in our paths since they said it was a problem they have asked the city to fix (but it has been there for quit awhile!) There is a need to mention, in the description, the unfenced drainage pond in the backyard that is definitely a safety concern for young children.

We can’t say enough good about this home. We gathered with 24 family members, including small children, and everyone had fun. Highlights:
• Nine of the “master” bedrooms all had private baths and many with adjoining bunk bed rooms.
• A huge theater (150” screen) with 18 comfortable seats.
• A playground area the toddlers and children loved.
• Pool, air hockey, and foosball that adults also enjoyed.
• New large outdoor playground with slides and swings.
• Multiple large gathering spaces indoors and on the back patio. One couch seated everyone comfortably.
• A kitchen with three refrigerators and five ovens. Lots of room!
• Big screen TVs in every room and all over the house.
• Great owner communication, but didn’t have too many questions because the house manual was very complete.
• Plenty of quiet corners for those who wanted some alone time.
• This house could easily accommodate a much larger group.
• We plan to return to this VRBO in the future.

Beautiful house, love the variety and themes of each bedroom. Kitchen and amenities were very helpful. Great experience for a large group

The large number of master bedrooms was fantastic for our large group! Plenty of extra bedrooms as well, for the kids. Everyone loved the theater and game room. Communication was spotty at first, which I think was an issue with Vrbo. Once I was in contact with the property owner, communication was very quick and friendly. My group had about 45 people in it. A large room upstairs fit us well enough for a Christmas party. The house was decorated in a fun way for Christmas too! Downstairs there were several rooms for people to spread out for games and smaller group activities.

35 people staying and having fun. Each bedroom has it's own personality and decorated perfectly. Multiple spacious areas meet and relax. AV systems allowed all ages to enjoy their favs. Theatre Room was great. Kitchen provided the room, equipment and features for all meals. Entertainment rooms kept the many teens involved and laughing. The playroom captivated the young ones. The property lived up to every expectation. Our local contact, Robin, was responsive and a pleasure to work with.

We love the house it is perfect. The amount of bedrooms and bathrooms were great, design awesome. We would’ve preferred to seeing more amenities in the kitchen, it was a little challenging for cooking, but overall very spacious and lots of room for storage. Our only real issues were, unable to use the tubs jets were moldy and we didn’t feel comfortable, The TVs were a little challenging and we couldn’t get some Verona to work, also outdoor fire pit didn’t work. The theater room was amazing. The game room and kids playroom. Everyone loved it bonus game room TV upstairs was nice bonus.

You can not beat the space this house provides. Almost every room has an en suite. Lots of space for kids to play no matter their age. New sofas up stairs and down stairs were an awesome upgrade! Grills were dirty both times we had a reunion. Empty propane tanks both time as well. We spent about 45 minutes hauling, hooking and unhooking propane tanks. Not a deal breaker but annoying…especIlly two years in a row. The management is remote so I would double check with them before your arrival that the tanks are full and the grills are clean (the small grill has been dirty two years in a row on our arrival) working and ready to go for your group. The second time we stayed there was no garbage bags or paper towels. A minimal problem but a little annoying to have to go to the store for items that should be stocked.
Otherwise the house is great! Lots of fun for everyone!!! Theatre room, playground, pool table (oh yeah, none of the pool sticks had tips and management just said “sorry. They don’t arrive till next week.” Older kids were bummed)
I would definitely recommend this house BUT I would make contact with management prior to your arrival and ensure the house is actually ready. Grills, propane, pool stick tips, paper supplies, etc. If you think you are going to use something on the amenities list I would call before hand and make sure it’s in working condition! Have fun!!!!!

Wonderful family place. So nice to be able to have the family close (in one place) but still have room to spread out and have some quiet time for the little ones. Thank you Robin for sharing your house and being so attentive.

We had an amazing time at Family Time Lodge and recommend it highly. We had family members from ages 4 to 90
Every Bedroom has an en suite bathroom and a huge TV, more space and so creative with the themes of the bedrooms it was so nice having privacy to do your own thing
Just a couple of cons to mention to make the stay perfect. 1. They need at least 1 handicapped toilet (taller) and bars to help them up, we had 6 seniors with us and that ended up being a big issue. The toilets on ground floor are all VERY low. 2. We could not get the theatre room to work, leave for future instructions and a trouble shoot person to contact.
We hope we can return in the future and had a great time, thank you!

We've been having these reunions for 19 years and this is the best house so far. Everything was clean and classy. With the indoor slide etc. The parents could socialize and not worry about their children. I would HIGHLY recommended it to anyone. Thank you for trusting us with your beautiful home to make lifetime memories

Everyone had such a great time! The kids loved the indoor playground, the game room and all of the video games. There was plenty of seating for mealtime and just for conversing. We loved all of the themed rooms and each having our own bathroom. There was plenty of room and we didn't feel like we were on top of each other. A great place to stay!

Loved the place. It was perfect for our reunion. The only complaints were the place wasn't the cleanest when we arrived. There were lots of earwigs. We slept in the bear room and the mattress was horrible. Several people said the beds needed to be upgraded. Other than that we really enjoyed it. 🙂

We just stayed here for a family reunion. We had 60 guests. The bedroom/bed set up plus all the bathrooms made for a very comfortable stay for all of us. The home was exactly as described, including all the available amenities. The host was very communicative And helpful. Would definitely recommend this home, and would stay here again!

This was a wonderful home to host our reunion in. We have a large family with a wide range of ages. The bedrooms were perfect for each of the couples and some families with small children. They playroom and game room were a huge hit with all of the kids. Even with 60 people in the house it felt spacious and possible to find a corner for yourself. The owners were quick to respond to any of the needs we had. Thank you for making our reunion possible.

We had the best time here. There was a lot of room for everyone in our group to have their own space and to feel comfortable for the weekend. It was a great family reunion house and we enjoyed our stay.

We love this house! Lots of bedrooms/bathrooms and unlike many houses, it actually has enough dining and living space to accommodate large groups. We loved that we could do meals together at the tables. There was also lots of outdoor furniture to eat/hangout outside on the back patio which is shaded in the evening. The yard is a good size and pretty private. The pool table room, theater room, and video games in the loft provided things to do and places for teens/adults to hangout. If you have little kids, the playroom is a lifesaver! It is a big and closed in area with places to climb/slide and stocked with toys. No houses have playrooms this big or with this many toys. Communication with the host was wonderful and we had everything we needed.

This place is huge!!! We were half expecting it but still caught it gaurd as we walked through it. The kids had an absolute blast exploring the house when we first arrived. They would get la little lost sometimes the first day but eventually figured out where everything was. The little ones loved the playroom which gave the adults some quite time to play games and visit. We created some amazing memories and had a great time. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

We have a large family and this is our favorite place to stay in Bear Lake. The online pictures just don't show how large this place really is. We've been to other places in Bear Lake that cost the same but were much smaller and we felt so crammed together. We had bad weather this year so we didn't get to enjoy the lake as much as usual but there was so much to do at the house that everyone still had a great time. Robin was great to work with and very responsive and the place looked great. our family can't wait to come back for the next family reunion

We take a family trip every year and was so excited to stay at this property. We asked for an hour early check in so we could get in and set up before the family came, that was declined because the cleaners needed all the time, but upon arriving I don’t think property was ever cleaned. Several family members drove by to see location throughout the day and no one was there cleaning. There was popcorn and candy on the floor, 2 broken kitchen chairs, the back door had finger prints all over it! There was egg on one of the pans we tried to use and what looked like a blood stain on one of the beds! Every family commented that the place was amazing in size, but the cleanliness was not good. It’s hard to pay a 600 dollar cleaning fee when the place was not clean. Plus it was not stocked, I had to go buy dishwasher soap and scoring supplies, which the property manager did offer to reimburse me for.
I loved Robin and she was nice, but probably would not stay again, which is sad because my granddaughters thought it looked like the house in Encanto.
Be prepared to pay a resort fee added onto the price as well.

We stayed in April and thought there would be a lot less snow and it snowed the entire time but was so beautiful and to be in a nice big house that was warm with the fire going was so serene!

Loved our stay it was amazing! Had over 40 people and the home was perfect if you can call it a home it was closer to a resort. Even with the large group of people plenty of space to relax and be in a quiet space. Lots of fun activities and would highly recommend this place.

We have a large family, grandparents, kids and grandchildren. There was more than enough room for everyone and so many things for everyone to do. The kids spent a lot of their time in the playroom. When it came time for meals the kitchen was large and well equipped with everything we needed. The property manager was great to work with when I had a few questions. We would definitely say at this wonderful home again!

This property is very good overall. The house is basically as described. It is large it is spacious. Plenty of places for people to go and do things if you're snowed in. There were a few things that weren't quite working (fireplaces, TV remotes). And the entertainment system seems to be a hodgepodge so you'll get internet TV in some rooms and satellite in some and antenna in at least one .
But overall it was a wonderful lodge and I would recommend to any large group.

We've stayed several times over the years and continue to enjoy this amazing property. It's so great to have so much room for the kids to spread out be rambunctious and the adults to do have room to visit and play games. One of the couples has traveled quite a bit to south seas islands and one of their daughters said that she looks forward to this trip as much as she does visiting warmer climes. High praise indeed.

We loved the house!! For the same price as hotel rooms we had a much more comfortable environment to do our 2023 planning. Plenty of space to spread out. We got work done and had lots of fun. Cooking meals was a blast in this incredible kitchen. It snowed during our stay which was a treat for some of our team. Robin was wonderful. There was a short power outage from a snow storm and she checked in to make sure we were ok and that we reset the thermostats. The level of customer service was top notch.

We rented this house for a family reunion with 43 people (15 adults, 28 kids ages 1-17). The play rooms were perfect, we hardly saw the kids all weekend because they were having so much fun! The bedrooms were the best part; everyone was able to spread out and have comfortable beds and private bathrooms. The kitchen was great, stocked with tons of appliances and with plenty of space for meal prep. We did wish that the dining and living spaces were bigger...we had a hard time moving around in those areas or seating everyone with as many people as we had (we're a big group!), but fortunately the weather was great and we were able to overflow onto the back patio, which was another great space. Overall this rental property was just about perfect for us.
To top it off, the rental management was phenomenal! They communicated with us early and frequently throughout the booking process, and were flexible when we needed to change our dates. The check-in process was quick and easy, check-out instructions were clear, and they reached out to offer help during our stay. We appreciate how easy they were to work with!

This house is enormous! Everything about our trip to Garden City was amazing starting with this rental home. The property manager responded right away to the one question I had, so I have nothing but good things to say about them. The property absolutely lived up to the high expectations set by the pictures. Our little kids practically lived in the play room, while the older kids spent their time playing the several different types of video games. Even if you didn’t plan any fun activities in the area, this house is well worth any time spent in it. Bear Lake is hands-down the most incredible lake I’ve ever seen. At night the stars come out and fill every inch of the sky with their radiance. 10/10 would recommend a visit to Bear Lake and this property.

This property fit our group perfectly. It's hard to find spaces like this with enough bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms to accommodate a large group for a work event. This one fit the bill. Located within walking distance of the lake and biking trails. Easy drive to the store. Beautiful property and yard!

We held a family reunion here with 40 people and the majority of those being young kids. The property was so accommodating for everyone. The kids loved the playroom, game room, and movie theatre. The adults loved the outdoor seating area and being able to sit around and chat while the kids played. We contacted the property owner beforehand with specific questions and they got right back to us and were very helpful. We plan to stay here again. It was awesome!

We just concluded a wonderful family reunion at this property. There was something for EVERYONE to do. Only complaint was the cleanliness. The bathrooms and bedrooms were spotless but the main living areas could have used a vacuum, dust cloths and some repairs. This is a beautiful property that with a little upkeep would have been perfect!!

We loved our stay here. Property was excellent. Amenities were great- balance of nice and fun. Excellent kitchen with lots of fridge space and appliances. Every step of the process was smooth- great communication with the owners and the property manager. Close to the lake and a few great parks.
We had all ages from newborns to grandparents in their 70s. There was something for everyone. We would love to come back in the future!

Extended Family Reunion
My brother and I have 9 children between us. All of them, their families and in some cases their grandchildren stayed at the house. There was room for everyone, we enjoyed the themed rooms, private bathrooms for each family and plenty of play space for the grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as the adults. It was a fabulous event for all 45 of us.
