The large villas with two floor is amazing!
4.7
The location, the staff, the resort facilities.
They have a buggy to go around the island and it is ideal for the family, it is close to everything, the super nice rooms, the gift of the cocktail and the super nice welcome bracelet. We liked it a lot
Mosquitoes, many insects and we left full of bites. But that's not their fault it's nature.

Liked all aspects of the hotel, particularly the swimming pool. Good breakfast, with hot food cooked to order. Reception very helpful in booking onward travel.
No complaints!

This is the third property we have stayed on when visiting Koh Mak and it was our favourite by far! The staff are amazing, the accommodation is beautiful and the beach is the best on the island. They have free kayaks, free a la carte breakfasts and have good buggies and bikes available to hire to explore the island. The food is very good and the restaurant was always busy which is a good sign. A visit to the near by island of Koh Kham is a must and if your feeling adventurous you can reach it by Kayak in 20-30 mins. Failing that there is a boat from further down the beach.
We didn’t like leaving and wish we stayed for longer!

they had a small suprise for my birthday!!

The staff is exceptional, the villas are right on the beach and Mak is just fantastic :) The on-site restaurant is one of the best on the island. Oh and the mattress!!! It is exceptionally good, which is a HUGE plus here in Thailand! Not too soft, not to hard, and almost no motion transfer. Loved it!
There is not light insulation on the rooms (like literally almost 0), so you are effectively waking with the sun around 7pm.
Also the villas are starting to age a bit, nothing serious and the staff keeps everthing clean, but the jungle and the moist weather takes its toll everything made out of wood, so practically the whole house :)

If your a westerner looking to stay in a nice western resort on a quiet island in Thailand, this is probably a good choice.
The staff were great, couldn't do enough for you and plenty around to help out where they can.
Food prices were 3-4 time the price of other places we have been in Thailand and felt like they catered towards the western pallet. Even after asking for extra chillies the food was still mild.
Allow for transfer times. Nothing connected for us from Trat to the resort so ended up losing 2-3 hours just sitting around.
The ferry prices are fixed and pretty high considering where you are. Over £150 in transfers to get to the island from the airport and then boat back to Koh Chang

the beach is amazing, free Kayaking, good breakfast
like everything in Thailand, need some work after years... Should by luxury resort, but nothing special for the money. Overall is nothing to do on Koh Mak
4.7
The location was good and the beach is beautiful. The staff were friendly and helpful.
On arrival, I found it really hard to get hold of someone to confirm our arrival pick-up which was a little frustrating. They didn't reply via email until we had arrived. The quality of the food and the service in the restaurant could really do with some improving. When you're on holiday it's really nice to look forward to the included breakfast, but didn't have that here. Just little things like having soya milk help to make a big difference. I also think it's worth noting that the staircase to the room would not be suitable for someone with mobility issues - this should be made apparent when booking. My mum who is 65-years-old and has health problems struggled.
Overall, compared to other places I have stayed in Thailand the value of money wasn't great.

A nice resort on koh mak, we had a nice big room with seafront view. its located on a nice beach, and just a short walk away from the restaurants on the other side.
it could use a bit a paint again and some slight renovation as times goes by. many families with small children. the breakfast was quite reduced, a very small buffet and only some dishes to order, nothing thai at all! depends i guess what you expect.
4.7
Friendly and kind management and staff, beautiful setting and design, great tasting food & bev priced competitively. Slick check in and out, great housekeeping.
Restaurant needs one more senior bar/front of house staff for coffees/cocktails/organize servers. Breakfast and drinks in the evening are very slow. General signs of wear and minor renovations needed soon.
Overall a wonderful hotel.

Great gem on Koh Mak. Absolutely stunning location. We stayed in a beach villa which was metres from the sea. It was really relaxed and peaceful. Can hire scooters and electric buggies to explore Island and visit different bars and restaurants. First time on Koh Mak and it was stunning, so much nicer than the busier places in Thailand. Totally unspoilt.
Potentially the breakfast buffet could be better, but that said we were there 8 nights and always managed to find something we liked.

The staff, especially Khun Jeem, was exceptional
My only complaint was the time it took to get espresso. I think a dedicated barista and a larger capacity espresso maker would have made breakfast run more smoothly.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Large, beautifully designed, private rooms right on the beach. Best beach on the island, clean, picturesque with great views of smaller islands. Great restaurant, delicious food at reasonable prices. Generous and tasty breakfast. Koh Mak also fun to explore on motorbikes with the family. We had been 10 years previous and it still has the same charm. Very chilled, quiet island. Often had beaches completely to ourselves, even at the resort (we went low season). Perfect stay!

The place is exceptionnal. The sea front is well taken care of, the staff is very polite and the kitchen restaurant is very good.

On the beach. Great pool. Gorgeous food and breakfast. Hired a golf buggy to explore the island. Very friendly staff. Nice touches such as a beach bag and a friendship band when we entered the hotel. Picked up from the ferry and return on time at the end of our stay. Free daily kayak for 2 hours. Just excellent. We loved it and will return.
Pool access is a little bit tricky for our 2year old.

Seavana is excellent, great value for money, on a beautiful, quiet little island. Staff are incredibly helpful and ready to support with anything at all. We checked in only an hour after we booked and staff helped us settle in.
The rooms are beautiful - we stayed in both a Beachfront Villa and a Superior Jacuzzi room and both were clean and luxurious. We actually preferred the double aspect windows in the jacuzzi room, but the beachfront villa is exactly that - on the beach!
The restaurant serves great food, while there are other restaurants only 0.3km away, and there’s a handy Mini-mart only 0.1km away.
Suanyai Bay is stunning, the water is clear and WARM. Divine.
We would absolutely recommend staying here, it’s just the best.
This isn’t the fault of the property at all, but be mindful there are sandflies on the beach - but only actually on the beach. We were unaffected sitting on the grass or swimming in the sea.

The sea view rooms have such a great view, with the sea shimmering in many shades of blue. The property is modern in its facilities but also Thai in feeling (not faceless international). It’s very well designed. The strong water pressure and abundant hot water for the shower, and filling the jacuzzi, was very appreciated. The food is very nice. The air is fresh and the stars shine so brightly. What a special place!
I really can’t think of anything.

The staff were exceptionally accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble, and the rooms were amazing.

Seavana is always a perfect place to wind down, get back in touch with nature, have good food and enjoy the weather. The pool and beach is a winning combination to cool down from the hot Thai Sun. The massage was closed unfortunately but I understand given the Covid19 situation. Overall a great stay and would recommend to anybody.

the location
nothing all was perfect

The breakfast was delicious! Location is beautiful and very untouched. True Thailand.
Lots of sand fly bites- be careful!
4.7
The style and design is elegant and cosy, and the beach is beautiful. The restaurant is very nice and the staff are truly friendly and attentive. There is a beautiful infinity pool too, and a cool lounge with a pool table. I will definitely come again!
It is a little far away from anything, but that seclusion is also part of the pleasure. The beach had quite a lot of litter and sand flies (rainy season). The beds are comfy but a little bit on the small side for a couple as it is queen size and had a mosquito net.
