Empfehlenswertes ruhiges,familäres Haus mit toller Dachterrasse und super Frühstück - außer sonntags

Casa Maricela B&B liegt relativ ruhig und trotzdem fussläufig zum Zentrum. San Miguel de Allende ist sehr, sehr touristisch. Glücklicherweise haben wir trotzdem Einkaufsmöglichkeiten für Wein, Brot, Wurst und Käse gefunden. So konnten wir die tolle Dachterrasse am Abend genießen. Wir waren insgesamt 2 Nächte dort. Am 1. Morgen gab es ein phantastisches Frühstück - frisch zubereitet mit Toastbrot und Eiern nach Wunsch.

Am Sonntagmorgen war das Frühstück eine riesige Enttäuschung. Es gab Kaffee, etwas trockenes Gebäck und man konnte sich etwas Frucht von einer Platte nehmen - die wohl für 9 Personen reichen sollte. Notgedrungen haben wir dann unsere Brotzeit, die wir uns für die Bus-Weiterreise nach Mexiko City am Vorabend besorgt hatten, zum Frühstück verspeist.

no air conditioning, the fan was too loud, simple breakfast, parking is only possible at the end of the street in a public parking lot for $45/hour

Gem on Calle Jesus

Fantastic location near center of town, but of the main street enough to be quiet. Made to order breakfast included. Usually an English speaking person present. All very friendly and helpful. The rooftop patio absolutely clinched it for us. Why go to an expensive restaurant to see the sunset when you can walk to the liquor store on Codo and zacateras and buy a great bottle of wine and have the great 5th floor view. Another bonus is hanging out with other travelers at breakfast. Hi

They celebrate the saints with firecrackers up until 10 or 11 in many months and the church bell ringers evidently get their exercise pulling ropesat almost all hours.

Well-positioned boutique hotel in a perfect location.

This lovely hotel is very sweet and the staff is more than kind and accommodating. We love places that are real people and places that locals would go without feeling stuffy and boring. The rooftop terrace was perfect for a coffee or glass of wine while looking over the city. Nights were quiet and cool with the windows open.

The rooftop is delightful. All the little touches in the room were very thoughtful. Very light throughout, thanks to skylights everywhere! The staff was very attentive, pleasant and very efficient. The location was very good. I would highly recommend this place.

I think I would be hard pressed to find a better place to stay in SMA

The very friendly staff led by Jesus makes you feel right at home. The rooms are comfortable and a decent size, and the rooftop terrace is peaceful with a great view of the city. Breakfast was tasty and filling, and was a great opportunity to interact with fellow travellers.

The towels felt a bit rough, but that’s a relatively minor issue that didn’t detract from my overall enjoyment of the place.

Fantastic stay in San Miguel!

Absolutely everything! My sister and I felt very looked after! The bed was very comfy, great hot shower, the staff cleaned our room every day and were extremely attentive during breakfast and any other requests we had. The location was amazing, in a quiet street, close to all the action. Also, the terrace has a STUNNING VIEW and there are so many thoughtful details and touches.

Our room felt quite cosy and the bathroom is too but it didn't bother us as we didn't spend a lot of time there!

Great experience, would be back

Great location! Staff was great. Breakfast was delicious. Room was very nice and clean, with everything I needed. Would definitely come back!

Room did not have an iron, but I didn't ask so maybe they have if you ask. My room had a wonderful view, but it faced the terrace so it was noisy and I kept a curtain closed. Not bad for me, but make sure to ask if you are delicate with noise.

Really nice place to stay

It was really comfortable, the location was excellent and the staff made you feel at home. The breakfast was very good, we enjoyed it very much. The decorations of the room were also really nice and everything was very clean. The terrace was also very beautiful. We also liked the fact that it seems like a family business and we're very happy to stay in those kind of places rather than huge hotels.

For the amount we paid, it is much better than any other option and we have no complains. We cannot think of anything we didn't like.

Good location, fantastic rooftop, and the staff were flexible with letting us keep our bags at the hotel after we checked out of our room .

They do not serve breakfast on Sunday. Not sure how you call something a B&B when there's no breakfast on the weekend?

Excellent location and staff!

The daily breakfast was absolutely a highlight of our stay. We enjoyed the time getting to know other travelers and always enjoying a delicious, authentic breakfast.

The rooms aren't large, and the bed wasn't the most comfortable. The walls are also very thin, so we could hear everythign going on in the hallway. It was absolutely fine, though, and was expected for a bed and breakfast in the center of town.

The staff were very kind. Nadia, the cook makes a great breakfast. Jesus, the host was super helpful and kind. The cleaners were great. The rooms were cute. The rooftop terrace was so relaxing.

The room we were first in had a problem but they moved us easily the next day.

A GREAT EXPERIENCE

This is a very well-designed and well-run BnB. I am writing as someone who owned a BnB for 5 years. The rooms are comfortable but not luxurious. They are VERY smartly laid out. I hesitate use the word “efficient” because that sometimes means cramped, and these rooms aren’t that. The operation is a traditional BnB. You are greeted upon arrival and shown to your room. There is a communal breakfast area with cook to order options. If you think you may not like this, I can assure you you are wrong. I had breakfast with a Mexican engineer and his Polish girlfriend, who live together in Frankfurt. Another Mexican national and his wife who live in Houston. we lingered and laughed at the breakfast table. That’s what makes BnB’s special. Finally the rooftop. Wow. after 2 Weeks in SMA, this was probably the best view that I enjoyed. stay here. you wont regret it!
