The young staff is very helpful, especially with people who don't speak very good Spanish. The blonde curly-haired girl that helped us check in is an angel.
The room was very clean, spacious, with great lighting options.
The bed was very comfortable, a bit on the harder side. The room staid comfortably breezy through the night.
I loved the bath with a bathtub and the relaxing rain showerhead. There's a hairdryer in the bathroom as well, very helpful.
You can have breakfast, lunch, and dinner there, or stay into the night for a drink - the bar is open throughout the night. We enjoyed the tortilla de patatas and chorizos the following day, with some pastries. You can buy sweets and beverages there for the road, as well.
There's even a gym if you want to move your bits.
You also have covered parking to keep your car out of the scorching sun.
All in all, a great stay for the price, especially if you want to rest on your way between Madrid and Sevilla, for example. I would definitely book again when in the area.
Our room had windows facing the highway, which meant it was noisier because of the traffic, although our building was located further away from the street. Other than that, everything was great.

The hotel is,for me, perfectly located for a night's rest on the long drive between the south coast and the northern ferry ports and for this reason I have stayed at this hotel several times before.
The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Secure, shaded parking is available. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The food at the bar is good and at a good price.
As a bonus a well equipped gymnasium is available.
Pets are welcomed.
Checking in and out of the hotel is less than ideal, especially if like me you're traveling alone with a pet as pets are understandably not permitted to enter the bar, but no big deal.

Food was good. Very good value for money.
Everything is pretty basic - a room without a view, for instance!! Access not straightforward coming from the south.

Nothing, the place is a dump in the midst of nothing.
Photos are totally misleading, with the place that is not an "Hotel" but just an "Hostal"(and not even a decent one at that). Bathtub was damaged and with mold throughout, bathroom glass shelf missing and toilet brush damaged. In the bedroom glass lamp shade was missing, furniture absolutely not what in the photos with mismatched and cheap furniture badly assembled together. Kitsch restaurant, stuffy and smelly with very average food (I skipped the breakfast). Parking is not locked but has "safety cameras" of little use, being just right on the highway. Avoid this dump.

Great and convenient stop on the way to Portugal. Clean, quiet. Fair value for the money.

It’s what you’d expect for a roadside motel, possibly a little better than the average.
Only criticism was the room smelt of smoking, but in Spain they’re not as obsessed as the Uk!

big room, big bathroom, clean, everything is available in the room, air conditioner working perfectly, the windows are in a great position, you can leave them open without worrying about people that passing by, free parking, and there is a charging station in the parking.

The room was not the one I booked. At least, it had nothing to do with the one on the booking website. It was older and old-fashiones. Instead, the one on the website seemed new.

Basic but clean room with good AC - needed with temperature of 42 outside!
Restaurant and bar good and reasonable prices.
Parking under shade and all was OK but no really "secure" or vigilando option.
A wedding party was being prepared for so we think kitchen was struggling to prepare for other customers. Evening menu meal was basic and the Bacalao we were given was off or at least tainted with something - not nice. However they quickly replaced with another option.
Otherwise all good.

We liked the fact that the room was spotlessly clean, as always. We have stayed at Santa Cruz a few times and it has always been cleaned to a high standard.
The paint in our room could have done with a bit of work and the shower screen was a little on the small side, resulting in quite a bit of water on the bathroom floor.
Other than that, there was nothing wrong.

Breakfast was unfortunately quite bad

Easy access off the motorway and just the right distance between Santander and the South coast to make an overnight stop. We liked that the restaurant had a “menu del dia” option available in the evenings which was good value for money, with lots of choice. The bed was large and extremely comfortable (obviously new) and the room was clean.
It was quite noisy in the room owing to the hotel being located at the side of the A4. We could always hear the traffic but since we were tired after a long drive it wasn’t really a problem falling asleep! I think double glazing would be a good idea.

easy to find clean room
road noise all night so did not sleep much, breakfast was included but in the morning there was nothing to tell you what’s included you had to just ask as if you had walked in off the street

No working heating in room. Radiators turned off. Air conditioning unit only sending out cold air. 3 degrees outside & not much warmer in side. Slept fully clothed. Went to reception to report heating not working, young girl said ' solo' & shrugged her shoulders.
Originally we were given a room on the 1 St floor with a staircase that can only be called a fire escape, I said that we have 2 small dogs, one being extremely small and would have fallen between the steps, totally unsuitable. Also my companion is disabled & uses a rollator. The guy who was pointing out our room from ground level had very little knowledge of English. I have a small understanding of Spanish & heard several times ' they are English. I asked to change our room for a room more suitable for our needs. I was told that the only room available was a family room, more expensive, I said that's ok I will pay the difference. We were put in the ground floor room with No heating. I complained the following morning yet again to be told radiator's off.
We couldn't have a shower as far too cold. Complete waist of money, might as well slept in the car.

Room was nice and warm when I walked in. There was radiator in the room and bathroom as well, all turned on, ready for my arrival.
Room was very clean, nicely updated and good size.
Hotel is in separate building from the restaurant with scheltered parking and each room has separate entrance.
Very good value for the price.
Bathroom - bathtub needs a little bit of attention.
