Large room
Aircon
Comfortable bed
La vie de Luc water in the fridge
No space to do hair and make up
Small shower
Too close to neighbouring building, which blocks the view.

There was no dressing table. Also nowhere to sit when watching TV. A couple of arm chairs would have made a big difference.

You drive through a farm to get to your room. The room was big with a terrace where you could sit and look at the Franschoek mountains
It felt a bit deserted. All the rooms were occupied but we only saw a few people in the morning as they were leaving. But for us we enjoyed the peace and quiet.

Great location close to everything. The views of the dam and mountain is amazing. Very comfortable bed and everything you need.

Exceeded our expectations. We booked 3 rooms and the host was very helpful.. The farm manager came to help immediately when our TV wasn't working.
The water was cold in room 2.

Everything was great as one can see the room has been upgraded.
The coffee station needs a other kettle.
The cupboards need hangers
The wall sockets need two point lugs for charging.
The inverter is a great idea but it was not working.

Loved the cottage vibes. Very neat and clean. Stunning estate within the grounds. Views amazing!
Too many farm homes (workers homes) surrounding cottage. Also wasn’t aware that staff would enter without informing us. Went out for a morning run and realised staff had been in the cottage. We left certain valuables in cottage thinking we’d be alone all weekend.

We saw no staff and could not contact anyone for questions we had, the ac unit did not function properly and the shower has a serious leak on the main water supply which soaked the floor and made it dangerous to walk on
The above

Location excellent, beautiful surroundings, perfect space for our travel needs including lots of sporting equipment
The spring bed were not that comfortable

the location is beautiful
We stayed in room 5. The bed was incredibly noisy and the mattress was extremely uncomfortable. The toilet had a strong urine smell. We asked to be moved to a different room and the property was accommodating.
They wanted to move us to unit 7 initially and the bed seemed to bed less noisy but the same uncomfortable mattress. We then had an option to stay in room 8 and the bed was much better but that toilet smelled even more like urine.
When we went onto Google to look at the reviews of the property we discovered that many guests before us complained about the beds and the urine smell.

A great place to stay that is close to town but still feels like you're in the countryside. The double room was very modern and comfortable. The wifi was decent and stayed on in load shedding although the signal strength was a bit low (we were in the furthest room though).
We would have liked a desk in the room but otherwise no problems.

The fact that we did not go
We paid a deposit and you did not know about our booking????

The location and view is great.
We stayed in the older rooms. Room 5. Not recommended.
The room is a very worn out and needs renovation.
There were dust on the floor and tables.
The bed is very uncomfortable and noisy. It is a very hard bed with a steel frame. We did not have a good nights sleep.
Black out curtains would be have been appreciated and not old wooden dusty blinds.
A microwave in the room would have been great.
The room could be more sound proof and the door between the rooms lacks a sense of security.
It is disappointing that you can not make use of the pool on the premises and only certain areas are allowed to walk around in.
The shower flooded the room and we had to use all our towels to contain. The towels were also mouldy and had a smell.
The furniture is old, dirty and worn out.
All the cupboards in the room do not make sense and it would have helped if they were labeled so you do not have to open them all to search for a fridge.
We did not find any warm blankets and there is only one mirror in the bathroom. A mirror in the room would have been appreciated.
For the price it is not acceptable as we have stayed in blaces a 1/3 of the price which had better amenities and offered greater value.
Very bad experience besides the view.

I hereby ask for a full refund for my booking at La Terra de Luc in Franschoek for the dates 28, 29 and 30 January 2023.
We booked in on the 28th and got a shock that it was more suited for pre WII Barracks.
We left messages twice with a farm foreman who said that he did pass it on to the office people, but we never received a reply from the office. The office was closed when we arrived at about 5pm and we were told by the servants that it would only open on Monday the 30th, so nobody could attend to us.
We moved out the next morning after the shower flooded the bathroom the previous night and we had no dry towels to use that morning.
I have taken photos and a video in which you can see that it is not suitable for human occupation.
It is a shame on Booking.com for having registered the property for human occupation. In our opinion it should be scrapped immediately.
I did not like anything.
