Perth hostel price level in general

The hostel is really close to the CBD and Northbridge is the best area to find food/ party/ shops. So the location is a really +. There is several different places to chill/ to seat and relax which is nice. The outside area is also nice when it’s a sunny day.
There is about 100 bedrooms and only one kitchen with only 4 fridges which is a big shame. There is not enough space for everybody so people just try to fit their bags on top of other bags. Also people don’t clean their mess so during the evening the kitchen become really dirty.
Being in rooms around kitchen can be also pretty noisy at all time, even more the weekend as people chill there and the wall/ door are thin.
But that’s a pretty cheap hostel so you pay for that.

Nothing
The booking was for a male and he was booked in a female dorm. I sent many emails and rang over 12 times to have it rectified to no avail. The emails and phone were not answered. Very disappointing and unprofessional.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Especially Yumi who always smiles and delivered the best service.
Great location right in CBD walking distance to many restaurants. Close to bus stop and train station. Very reasonable price too. Will stay again and highly recommend.
Also quiet good to have an area near the reception where people could charge their phone or search where to visit or just rest.
Long term guests took lots spaces of the room.
Even use another sheet cover their own bed. So whoever have to stay the bed on top of her can't access their own bed. But this is not the fault from hostel. Totally understood they need long term tenants.

not very clean

Hotel location.
The bathroom facility seriously needs refurbishment. The rooms are tiny and the bunk beds at the top has no safety railing. There is also no air conditioning in the room making it tough during summer as there is no windows for air circulation.
3.3
Good and regular cleaning, good location.
No air con, window to backyard - way too loud most nights and that way beyond 10pm. People didn't clean their dishes so the kitchen was messy and dirty (cleaners did a great job, though).

Near city
Walk to train,bus stop.
3.3
Good location, facilities, bed comfy
No window, no storage in the room, hostel noisy, fridge completely full, small kitchen
3.3
Cleanliness, 24/7 reception
I stayed in a room for 8 with only 5 lookers.
3.3
Friendly helpful staff
Fan in room
Clean and maintained
Bag storage
Kitchen storage for food should be cubicles around the walls leaving the dining table free. Currently just dozens off shopping bags on the floor and on the table taking up space in the dining room. No cups to be found in the kitchen. Not enough spaces to lounge or hammocks outside for a hostel with 80 rooms.
3bd dorm room needs cubicles for storage instead of a clothes rack, 3 draw bedside and table which were useless and took up space needed for luggage.
Floor boards squeak alot but that's the age of the building.

The lady in the morning was friendly and helpful. Location is ok
Very noisy at night. People partying in the backward and continuing being loud in the corridor. Nobody came to ask them to stop, even at 11.30pm on a Thursday.
My female 4 bed didn't have window. Only a fan which wasn't enough. Summer, 30° very toastie to say the least. Overall I had a bad night sleep. Also, my bed was the top bunk and it didn't have ladder. Low maintenance of the facilities.
I am glad I only booked 1 night. I don't recommend this hostel, unless you don't have any other option and want something cheap and don't mind the noise.

The showers/ toilets were cleaned daily. Some of the reception staff friendly
I didn’t have particularly high hopes for this hostel because, of course, the price is very reasonable for the excellent location. It went far below what I could have anticipated. To put it nicely, it’s a very party focused hostel and every night there’s loud music playing in the court yard until early hours. Several of the nights my friend and I were woken to screams and cries of other guests outside our room, one night to a couple having a physical fight to the degree that someone else had to come out of their room to intervene. Speaking of rooms, we didn’t appreciate the incredibly damp smell or mould on the walls, but this was bearable in comparison to the noise. The kitchen was far too small for the volume of guests. The dead moth that fell in my pasta from the fans above the stove, and the swarm of flies lingering by the dry food stored were the least of my worries. The other guests had such little respect that the sinks were often full of dirty dishes and 2 of my ready meals (which were in a bag with my name on) were taken lol.

This place is absolutely enormous, so it’s seriously impressive that they manage to keep it as clean as they do (the kitchen was pretty horrifying at times, but that’s on the guests, not the staff). Staff were all helpful and friendly. Heaps of toilets and showers on each level so you never needed to wait.
Every night was loud, crappy European EDM night in the courtyard. Like, properly loud, and going on into the small hours of the morning. The beds were awful, but I mean, it’s a hostel.

Location is great and the staff was friendly. Multiple lounge areas with sofas and tables, with a nice outdoor space and a spacious kitchen. Internet provided free of charge. Towels are also provided if needed.
Room was smelly, quite small and didn’t have any windows. Bed was uncomfortable. Common areas were quite messy and dirty

good services, friendly staff, prefect location, but the room is a little noisy
