Exceptional

Everything! The room, the pool, the location, so romantic! The breakfast was amazing! The staff was so nice! There is a parking lot in front of the hotel. The hotel is in this amazing romantic town. They have this cozy restaurant in the center of it and we went to dinner there.

Overestimated facility, far too pricey for what you get.

The location was ok.

Overpriced facility, way too expensive for what you get. Room was very small and not properly cleaned. Pillows were damaged. Breakfast ends at 10.00 but at 09.40 we were refused a cooked omelette because the waitress would not light the stove again. We were told on the phone that there would be a lift (my son is disabled) to take us to our rooms, but this was not the case. We ended up paying €40 extra for an upgrade that was neither necessary nor worth it. Not a disabled friendly establishment!

Very good

The location of the hotel is excellent, in the middle of the mountain. Great view and very nice village.

The annex is in the middle of the village and not directly attached to the hotel. The furnishing of the room is rather cheap, everything from Ikea and the bed needs a new mattress. The hotelier asked us to check out 5 minutes after 11 and was a bit unfriendly.

Stunning view and comfortable stay.

Settled in the quiet town of Oprtalj. It’s a great strategic location for exploring northern Istria. There are a lot of wineries and great restaurants no more than 15 minutes away by car. The breakfast was decent and the staff is friendly.

Not as good as we expected.

Breakfast was OK, the staff was helpful and very friendly. Location is OK and peaceful.

Cleanliness was below expectations. If that is five star hotel and for that price, everyone expect everything on that level. Dusty window sills, dusty table, lamps, hairs on the flor and in the bathtub, spider nest in the corners and in the edges of furniture, a dead bugs on the flor, etc... - that is not the right level of the hotel which one they advertise. I understand problems of the bugs (they call them "stinky martins"), but problems is solvable (clean all window frames inside where that bugs have nests, preventive application of scent that repels them, etc....). Is not funny spent a lot of time to remove average 50 bugs every day from the room. The bugs are not harmful but they are disturbing. If I can do that, I am sure they can do it, or that is not the hotel on that level. It will be very good to have a small refrigerator in the room and some drinks in it. They advertise fitness, but sorry folks - three devices in the same place were the wellness area is - that is not fitness. That is disturbing for those who want working-out and also for the people who want just relaxing in that area (and primarily that is wellness area - there is jacuzzi and saunas area).

A beautiful place to stay in Istria!!!

This was an incredible place to stay! We were in the “annex” location in the small village. Wow! It was beautiful, quiet, felt incredible to be in the old yet beautifully redone building! Easy walk to the main building where we enjoyed the sauna and hot tub!! The morning breakfast was fantastic! Highly recommend staying here!

Beautiful B&B with an incredible view

The view from the B&B was beautiful. The breakfast was great and Slava was an excellent host. We stayed in the Annex Building and loved it. It's an easy 3 minute walk from the main building. The spa area was really nice as well. We will stay here again on our next visit.

Nice and pleasant, but also quite pricey

The building has a very pleasant atmosphere with nice decor. The hilltop view was very soothing, and the private pool very enjoyable. Tasty breakfast, friendly staff. There's only one restaurant in the vicinity, but it's really good and makes for a great summer evening dinner. Overall a nice location if you're looking for a retreat away from crowds.

An extra socket next to the bed would be desirable: there was only one and to use it, a bedside lamp had to be unplugged. Hallway noise is easily heard inside the room and can be distracting in the morning, breaking the otherwise private vibe of the place. The outdoor parking could be improved with some shade.

Beautiful, remote location, but bring your own food/drinks beforehand!

The village is gorgeous, the B&B too. We were staying in the Annex building in the old town. Very clean and spacious room, newly renovated. Breakfast was basic, although chef was preparing fresh eggs and croissants.

They had no coffee/tea to offer although we had a little station in our room. After breakfast there was nothing in terms of food/drinks to get. No fridge with drinks (not even water), beers and wine, or even a vending machine with snacks. The village offers a very small and limited market which is only open until 13:00/15:00, so good to keep in mind!

Just ok

Beautiful view, peaceful location and garden. Breakfast was also really good. The stuff was polite.

The room was very small and the bed was very loose and loud. We didn't have kettle nor a fridge in a room. I expected more facilities in a five star hotel. Also, the spa opens at 9 am and as we arrived sauna was not turned on and we had to wait 40 minutes for a warm up and the check out is at 10 am so we didn't really have time to use it. The pool was dirty and we also couldn't use it. Also, "the gym" were actually 3 pieces of equipment.

Disappointing for a 5*

To be fair breakfast was great and jacuzzi was just fine. We didnʾt use the pool because of the weather

We were accomodated in a ground floor room. Furniture was quite outdated but that was least of our problems. Just as we entered the room, we saw a great deal of bugs all over the place, literally my boyfriend threw at least 10 bugs in the toillet and just as I thought there were no more, guess what, three more were crawling in the bathroom. It was disgusting. The drapes (victorian looking) were probably breeding ground for them. They should probably clean them from time to time. Secondly, as we were trying to find an outlet behind the bed, there was a cigarette butt on the floor, everything was dusty as if it wasnʾt cleaned for a year. Also the lobby was so dusty and cravling with bugs, it made me wanna scream. I canʾt tell why they have 5* but I donʾt think they are worth that much money. .

Room is even bigger then it seemed on photos and that was a big plus. Breakfast is great and lady from kitchen is really kind and attentive. Pool and wellness are nice feature.

A lot of bugs in the room that are coming inside as you are in middle of nature because there is no mosquito net on windows.
