close to all vicinities. it’s almost as if it has its own entertainment within. no need to visit Kuta or Seminyak
it’s kinda hidden but once you get your bearings it easy.

The rooms were comfy and a good enough size, the staff were lovely and friendly. Great price but unfortunately tucked right down the lane way… once you get to the end the main area was in a great location. We didn’t eat at the restaurant. Great hotel if on a budget!
No chairs on balcony, bathroom smelt especially with the door closed, aircon leaks water… definitely need to do some maintenance…

Friendly staff, easy access to pool from ground floor room, quiet area, short walk from main area of Legian. Daily housekeeping. Comfy king size bed and powerful aircon. Fresh bottled water provided daily.
Shower is small and curtain sticks to you at times while showering. Only one pillow per person and a bit flat. Coffee making facilities provided but no milk in the fridge - would be able to go ask for it though

location and cleanliness

The location was great and the staff were always very helpful
There was very limited space for clothes and when you are staying for 2 weeks it is frustrating having to live out of suitcases for that whole time. The lighting in the room wasn't good so if I wanted to read I would have to use the torch on my phone.

this stay, nothing!! wished I’d checked out first day.
stayed before was wonderful, so without question rebooked first trip back. rooms not clean, bathrooms dirty, mold issues on blinds, mattress was a base on top of a base and aircons leaked, all male staff, not approachable, not pleasant, for the exception for one young fellow that did his absolute best and was so so lovely.
beers not cold, EVER!!
paid 2.5 times more for the room this time and was 5 times worse than before.

The staff here were amazing, very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good for money, cooked fresh and good variety. The hotel is a bit dated and the rooms could have been a little cleaner but overall for the price it was good.
Cleanliness could have been a little better

Had requested the hotel to give the room at the ground floor as my parents are elderly. They confirmed that lifts are there and that should not be a problem. When we arrived late night, the lifts was not working and they tried saying that it had broken down that day only (this was not true), they promised to get it fixed next day and that wasn't true either.
We took 2 rooms and the aircon in my room (with kids) was not working and we had a horrible night.
When we confirmed tomorrow morning that we will be checking out since neither of their promises came true, they tried charging us for two nights. What a piece of work. The hotel is far from the beach and a 8-10 minutes walk that too when you take a short cut which is not very clean and very narrow.

Bali Chaya is a good hotel. It is value for money. Rooms are huge and we booked a pool view and it was amazing. Restaurant was right besides the pool area and it was very convenient for us to order food.
- Location is not good, it is situated a bit far from the center. Also it was difficult for the drivers in finding the address of the hotel.

Overall we had a decent stay, mostly for the following reasons:
- The staff was helpful: I called them to provide us with two more pillows and a few minutes later, someone was bringing them. I really appreciated this quick action.
- The room was clean and of decent size.
- The location: it is a short walk from the beach, shops and restaurants.
The following could be improved:
- There was no curtains in the shower so there was water everywhere in the bathroom after each shower;
- Internet was very unreliable;
- Breakfast: the quality of the food is not so great, so we ended up having breakfast somewhere else (although breakfast was included in our room fare).

closer to the legian beach and good breakfast nasi-goreng. Staff was polite and willing to help with many information.
the aircon was low power. it takes a long time to cool the room. maybe need refrigerant and cleaning.

As people have said this property is about 100m from the main road. This is a good thing as it was very quiet by the pool and you didn't have the craziness of the main road. The shower was awesome, the room of a decent size and the staff were great. I used the laundry service which was excellent. I will stay here again.
Didn't pay for the breakfast but did try it once and wasn't blown away. All of the restaurants at the main road offer a better food option.
