Lovely boutique type resort with all modern amenities. Loved the cottage I was in. Big and spacious. This was the at the end of the property. Away from the pool. Lovely to sit on the veranda and read. There is an homely atmosphere everywhere. Staff are very helpful. Food was excellent for me. I like Indonesian / Javanese food so was quite happy to have what was on the menu. They even went out of the way to prepare a local dish specially for me called "nasi liwet".
The lights are dim in the rooms. Can add one or two bright lights that can be switched off when not needed.

We had a bungalow which was beautifully and tastefully furnished, very spacious. Nice big pool with some shade from shrubs, we had it almost to ourselves. High quality service and worth the money

The restaurant was great and delicious. Open until late ( LO 21:00) so it was nice .
Massage was great. We also did the morning walk !
Long drive from yogyakarta and the airport .

Great designers family bungalow, lovely pool and reasonable restaurant choices at any time. Breakfast buffet especially good here. Bike hire and taxi arranging super easy.
I hadn’t realised it was so close to the main road and our secluded family bungalow was therefore essentially one wall away from the traffic….there may be one’s further inside the complex but they looked smaller.

The small intimate feeling. Beautiful pool and dining area. The staff were so lovely and helpful- especially Lili and Melanie. Fabulous breakfast buffet!!!!

The resort is an oasis from the hustle and bustle of Borobudur. Lovely atmosphere. Great pool area. Food good and had some western options. Spacious rooms. beautiful grounds
There really was nothing I didn't like!

Beautiful resort, the villa’s are very good, lot of space, very nice bathroom, bed is very comfortable. Staff is so friendly, they help you with everything. We drove with Toni, our driver to anywhere we wanted. There were not much guests, it was a little bit too quiet but it was the season they told us. You have to fill in your breakfast for the following day. Enough choice and you can order as much as you want. Some days we got an complimentary dish for breakfast to try or cake in the afternoon.
The sound of all the mosques in the neighbourhood, many times a day.
Street just outside the resort is very busy, you cannot make a walk outside the resort but that is almost everywhere on Java. Can’t recommend renting a bike, too busy on the roads.

The property looked exactly like the photos, especially the traditional Javanese-style homes. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, and the activities offered on- and off-site made the trip that much more enjoyable. Close to Borobudur as well. Would highly recommend staying at Amata for your next stay in Jogja!

the decor was awesome. the vegetation around was great. there was a stream of water flowing just outside our balcony. the room was decently sized. it is a nice quaint boutique property.
No one, absolutely no one seemed to understand even basic english. while we do understand that locals may not know english but there has to be some common way to communicate, right? i assume the management should think about it.
While the food was good but they were not able to do anything about allergens (they just smiled and kept saying yes to our instructions and never understood an iota of what we told them). the food choices were also very very limited.

Very good service and food, the room was comfortable and clean with no insects
Wifi was too weak to use most of the time and no reception, and they were out of stock of Bintang

My travel plans were delayed by several hours and I ended up arriving at Amata Borobudur at 1am, I gave them advanced notice and even with my insane schedule the security guard and receptionists were waiting for my arrival which I greatly appreciated after the long drive. The resort also had really nice rooms and food including one of the nicest breakfasts I've ever had in any hotel, who knew I'd end up loving chicken sausage!

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpfull
If it is nearer public transport it would be better. But oif course I understand that the position is one of the attractions
