Loved the location and ease of checkin. Very close to public (pay) parking garage. Coffee with cream and sugar packets were nice to have in the room.
No elevator, so be prepared. We were fine, but others might not be! The property is immediately across the street from a church that “bongs” every 15 minutes, quite loudly! Again, we didn’t mind, but others might!

Easy to find and everything was spotlessly clean. Electric fan was a godsend as the room would have been quite warm without it.
Bed could have been a little more comfortable perhaps.
6.0
Great location - comfortable bed - helpful staff
The noise was horrendous - rubbish truck at 5.30am and a across the courtyard was the church bells that rang every hour stopping at 9pm starting again at 6am
7.0
Staff courteousness, lively location, room size with preserved antiquity, and a comfy bed.
Noise (early morning street festival preparations and half-hourly church bell ringing) and no AC or fan to deal with the trapped heat during the Austrian summer.

Location was excellant
no lift... had to carry bags to top floor

The location was perfect, can’t fault it. The room was clean and comfortable although not especially big.
Very expensive considering the size of the room and especially as breakfast was an extra €20 euros. Reception isn’t staffed at all times which was fine for check in via lock box but I wanted to leave my luggage and was just left in the hall all day unattended until I came back

Location was excellent and the staff were very knowledgeable and happy to help
Narrow stairway and no lift

Location is perfect, very convenient to reach all tourist spots on foot. The old building is well restored, but still keeps the historical charm. The street in front of the hotel is a pedestrian street with lots of terraces, restaurants, café.... Right on the hotel door.
You will love the place if you are sick of standardized hotel rooms and lobbies, and if you want to feel the rich history of Salzburg not only during the museum tour.
Of course, you have the drawback of an historical building: narrow stairs, small room (but very well organised) , and some noise of the terraces below if you want to sleep early instead of enjoying the terrace... But this is by far worth it.

The hotel is perfectly situated for exploring Salzburg, both sides of the river, on foot - and it is only a 15-minute walk from the train station. The mountain walks are also within easy reach. I had the single room in the attic which was small but nevertheless had a nice bathroom and even provided a small fridge and a kettle as well as a small desk and chair. The hotel has been lovingly decorated and there is a pleasant breakfast room overlooking the pedestrian-only street it is on.
The bed was a single, which didn‘t matter, but it was a little uncomfortable. The window looks onto a charming stone terrace pretty with plants, but when other guests are using it the room no longer feels as private or quiet - only an occasional problem.

Location, 5 mins walk to the river
Close to Hauptbahnhof and airport
It wasn’t cleaned properly.
Narrow staircase and of course, no elevator

Very good and central location in the city centre. Clean room with all needed amenities.
Even with radiators turned off the room was very hot. We had to have the windows open but this meant we had no double glazing for noise protection. Night club a few doors down meant loud shouts coming from street. Church bells opposite started at 5.45am and rang every 15mins.
If there was air conditioning this would not have been an issue.
There was also a brown long hair in the bathroom sink, presumably from cleaner as the rest of the bathroom was spotless

The stay was overall acceptable. The breakfast was a little basic, but acceptable.

I liked the room 35 which had a terrace off it. and a useful fridge.
7.0
central location in a very nice street
wasn’t so keen on room 32 which was very small for two people and quite cold. But hotels location worth it
7.0
Location was great as it was right in the middle of the action.
The property is right across the road from the bell/clock tower and so you would require earplugs to sleep through it.

great location, in the middle of Old Town; held our bags for us when we arrived early before check in
Tight quarters for 2 people

Great location for walking around Salzburg. Great little street with good dining options.
The hotel is very close to the church so the bells can be very noisy. We liked it, but not everyone would.
Lovely old building.
I thought breakfast was included, but it was an extra 16e per person. The breakfast options were nice, but for us not worth the cost.
The room is small; tall people may struggle.

The reception allowed my party to check out about 30 minutes late (10:30 instead of 10:00).

The receptionist/person in charge smeltof stale sweat. There was an automated checkin. We had to pay in full on the first morning of 3. The street outside was noisy on and off all night.
