Post Christmas getaway
This location is great! House was great and perfect for 2 families. Kitchen is updated and has everything you need. A couple bathrooms have been updated. We can tell it is being updated so will definitely rent here again! Beds weren't great. The one queen room the bed was terrible and very squeaky. If I were owner I would update the beds next! Needs a hot tub. Most of the houses down there have that so that was a little disappointing. We love Duck and this location is perfect so will be back!

Thanksgiving 2021
The location of the house was perfect, easy walking to both the beach and shopping area in Duck. House has updates in the kitchen and bathrooms. The house had clearly not been cleaned just before our arrival. There were dead bugs (including roaches) on the floors on all levels, crumbs on the kitchen counter, dried urine around the base of the toilet. We were not impressed with the condition of some of the furniture - ripped fabric on chairs, musty smell in blankets, tons of stains on kitchen table chairs, cracked toilet seat in master bath. Overall, our stay was pleasant but we will not returning to this house.

Very disappointed, won't be back
Dirty air filters, roaches, broken furniture left behind, a closet door that fell on my son's head, rickety beds. With a little love, this property could have been great, but we were displeased overall. I wouldn't stay here again. This place could use a big refresh. Location is excellent, and plenty of space for a big family, including a nice, big kitchen and dining table. Too many corners cut.

Perfect Location and Plenty of Room
This home is in the ideal location! Walking distance to the beach AND the Duck Boardwalk, shops, and restaurants. Magnificent views from the top deck. Pool area is a great gathering spot- day and night. The screened in porch was perfect as we had many rainy periods. Our group had 10 adults ages 18-58. Thos home has enough space for everyone to have some privacy and the common areas were large enough for all 10 of us to talk, eat, pkay games, and laugh. The kitchenutensils, pots, pans, storage containers were abundant. Owners provided plenty of blankets. Water pressure was great! Outside shower was super convenient! Home was spotless when we arrived. Would definitely rent this house again as within a few hours, it felt like a home.

The town saved my trip
The inside of the house was just as it was pictured online. Unfortunately the pool was clean and ready for usage. I was there mid April were the days are warm and the nights cool. The owner had a vacation hold on the TVs to end the day after we left making it a bit challenging to have family time. Because my family had to watch tv or movie on their cellphone/iPad. Also in order for the bedrooms to be warmed we had to turn the heat up to almost 80 which made it extremely hot. One of the smaller rooms had no air vent. The king bed was extremely lumpy and uncomfortable to sleep in. I would definitely recommend the update the mattresses ASAP. Now the good part the shops and restaurants near by were amazing and they definitely make me want to return to the outer banks.

Great value
Kitchen and baths have been recently renovated. Mattresses are in need of upgrading, but other than that, we recommend this property. An excellent value.

Okay, but!
We had a nice visit overall. However, the house left a lot to be desired. It is nice that the kitchen and bathrooms have been updated. But there really needs a deep clean. We found crumbs in drawers, cereal and other stuff under furniture. One of the bedroom trash cans still had a huge wad of used tissues. The screened in part of the deck with its furniture had what looked to be mold and dirt all over it, and the screen of the door was torn and falling out. We only used it once for this reason. One of the windows in the bedroom with the full bed was broken and would not shut all the way. And pretty much all of the mattresses and boxsprings need changed. Especially in the master bedroom. Every time you moved the boxspring would creak really loud and wake us up. We emailed the management office and they responded quickly and sent out a technician who was extremely friendly and did all he could. He said they would have to talk with the home owner to get the boxsprings replaced. Which are inexpensive. They were not changed out. We didn't sleep well which really hurt our vacation. Also there was a strong musty/mold smell throughout the house. The house definitely needs maintenance! The pool was really nice, although it was a bit cold during the week to swim very long. Anyway we were glad to have a vacation.

Good location but that's it
The property is in a good location and in walking distance to the beach. They have renovated the bathrooms and kitchen nicely. However, the outside (deck) area of the house not maintained; the deck is in bad shape (boards and nails are sticking out and the screened porch had a ripped screen). We decided (with kids) that it wasn't safe to use the deck. We reached out to the property management group about the screen and they said someone would come out the next day (no one ever did); followed up with an email and they said someone would be out as soon as available (no one came out).
