Enjoyed our visit.

Nonnie and T’s was a nice property. The owner and Outer Banks Blue were responsive to some plumbing issues the first couple of days. We were disappointed that the booking was made available during a beach restoration project. We had to deal with bulldozers and other heavy equipment running day and night right in front of the rental. Had we known the project was underway we would have chosen another location.

Wonderful vacation home
My husband, dog and I had a very relaxing, enjoyable stay for 9 days at Nonnie and T's near the end of March. We had not seen all the upgrades on the website and were unaware of all that had been done until we arrived. We were very pleasantly surprised. Waiting for us was a gift from Outer Banks Blue with an assortment of items that were quite helpful, and the owners had left a handwritten note and a gift as well. The house was very clean throughout with lots of towels, wash cloths, dish towels and hot pads. There were small bars of soap and towelettes. Hardwood floors and new entrance carpet had been installed. Most of the wicker furniture in the living room and sunroom had been repainted. All of them had either new cushions or had been reupholstered. The living room sofa and the master bed at least were new. Some of the light fixtures and ceiling fans had been replaced. The new decor was perfect. The decks had been power washed and were in the process of being painted, though this was not completed as of our visit. The kitchen had dining plates and glassware for 12. There were plenty of wine glasses and even beer mugs. The refrigerator, Mr. Coffee, toaster and Keurig were new. We enjoy hot tea, and the tea kettle was used daily. Numerous sized Rubbermaid storage containers came in handy. There is a pantry to the right of the refrigerator to hold your food items. This house is set up for recycling, and there was a container for this. We also used the new hot tub daily. The house is located above the beach area giving privacy on the decks and in the house. There is a sitting area on the walk to the beach and the distance to the beach is short and easy access. There are 2 private outdoor showers. Having a garage certainly helped keep the truck clean. It helped too, with loading and unloading the truck. There is an elevator, but it is on the outside next to the front door entrance. It is not made to come down to ground level. It is not convenient to lift a heavy item such as a cooler so that it can be raised to the upstairs kitchen area. It is convenient for loading smaller items though. There is a remote for it and the garage inside.
Nonnie and T's is located in the Southern Shores area and is more residential than other portions of the OBX which was perfect for us. We were just a few minutes from the newly remodeled Food Lion, ABC store and seafood store.
We also found the staff at Outer Banks Blue to be very helpful and courteous.

Excellent Time
Had a great time. The place was perfect. Right on the beach. Can’t wait to come back.

Absolutely perfect!
Our most amazing trip to OBX, thanks to the location and amenities at this property. Very relaxing, shorter walk to the water, added + for the garage and comfort of the furniture and bed. We will definitely be staying here again!

Left With Bad Impression
The house layout was great. However house keeping company should be fired. Cobwebs around most doors w/bugs in them, sand on all the furniture, crumbs & bugs around edges of carpet. Was a big issue for us since we had small kids - some crawling. Called immediately Sun morning about upstairs tub not draining, door keeping falling off apartment closet, ice maker not working, screen door on porch was completely ripped off (so it was useless at night because of bugs) - was told a work order would be place & items would be fixed - never heard from anyone nor did anyone come to address these issues. Very inconvenient for 8 adults & 4 toddlers / 2 infants to only have 1 tub.
On the good side - the layout of the house was perfect for us & loved having such a big mostly private beach area.

family get-away
My first impression of the house was somewhat disappointing in comparison to the pictures online. The positives: the kitchen is well stocked, better than any I have seen. The master suite is very nice though it would have been better to have safety bars in the shower. The location of the house is great. Concerns: the two sofas in the living room are very worn and should be replaced. You sink way down when you sit on them. Cleaning: House appeared clean with two exceptions. The sofas had sand on them, the two in the living room and the one in the sun room. The plastic furniture on the porch out from the kitchen had not been cleaned as well as the flooring. The office staff was very responsive to our request in a timely manner. They sent someone out to clean the sofas and also replaced a tv remote that was not working in the apartment area.

Dot’s Spot
The house is beautiful! Tons of space! Plenty of dining space! Lots of balconies and nooks to have quiet time! Beach access was wonderful. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms were spacious.
Negatives- The bunk beds are rusted with loose screws and missing safety caps. Not safe for children. We didn’t let the little ones sleep in there. That was disappointing because we loved the idea of a kids room but that didn’t happen. The master bath was not clean... soap and razors left... we had to disinfect before use. The key was broken off in the lock of the apartment so on night one we could not access it. The rental company addressed it the next day and all was good. Stove in the apartment is non working.
With that being said... we had a wonderful vacation and would definitely rent again if the bunk beds are replaced! Thank You

Home was very comfy and convenient!! Housekeeping needs to step up their game. Wipe down surfaces, glass especially.... The home could use a few upgrades but all in all, our vacation was wonderful!!

Beautiful Spot
Dots Spot was a beautiful, perfect location for our family reunion. Unfortunately, the listing was outdated. Several features listed in the property were not in working order and response from management took the length of our vacation. We invested in some upgrades ourselves and had a great time despite the accommodations.

Nice property, but BEWARE of the property management company!!
I must say that I feel very bad giving this review of the property, because the actual house and location are nice (needs a bit of updating). Our issue was with the property management company, Outer Banks Blue. We should have seen red flags when we booked through VRBO, paid through VRBO with a credit card and had to call OBX Blue to repay. It sounds like they are not being honest with VRBO. They sent an email saying to call to pay, but the people who answered couldn't take our payment; instead, they said our account must be sent to "escalation," and they would call us back; but they didn't call for days, but they continued to send e-mails saying if we don't pay, we will lose the property! Little did we know, that was the LEAST of our issues with them. First, it is important to know, that we live in Connecticut, a 10 h drive to OBX, and we have children. We were given directions to the property that were incorrect -- the directions said don't follow the GPS, follow our directions, but their directions were absolutely wrong and the GPS directions were correct. They text you frequently to ask you if everything is ok, but when you have a problem, they go silent. Our biggest issue was the fact that when we arrived at the property at 4:30 (check in was at 4), the property wasn't clean and no one had arrived to clean it. We were met by "inspectors" that Outer Banks Blue employs to make sure the properties are ready, and we were told that they had been calling the company all day telling them that no one had arrived to clean the property. The inspectors were upset and crying!! When we called Outer Banks Blue, they were RUDE! Like we should be sympathetic to them that they were under water and they couldn't tell us when the property would be ready. My kids were crying and had to go to the bathroom; I was crying, and we were told, "just go into the property; it is yours." It was FILTHY and we were in a pandemic!! It wasn't safe to go in!! We waited in the driveway for 3 HOURS! They said they would compensate us, but never did. Finally, they charged us a lot of money to rent beach equipment (this is not optional) but ours never arrived. We paid double, because we had to rent chairs, etc from someone else. Again, they have never compensated us for their mistake. I will never rent from OBX Blue again, and if you want a stress-free experience, your shouldn't either. I hope the owners find another rental company. They deserve something better!

super nice place
Spring break with family of five. Very enjoyable, beach access was the best, location close enough to everything but also far enough to feel away from it all.
