Good place to stay before Grossglockner. Was possible to eat on arrival, although looks like restaurant was closed. There is all, that you can expect from living in Alpen house. Also breakfast was very good.
Actually it's not a minus. Just keep in mind - all prices are double on road 107, just relax and enjoy.

Very clean and quiet despite being close to the road. Food is very nice. Lots of parking. Ideal for motorcycles.

Conveniently located along my route, easy to find, helpful & friendly owner and almost felt like you were at home, Breakfast was very nice - you were provided with a small selection of cold meats and cheeses, (not buffet), choice of hot beverage, warm bread rolls (white and wheat) , cereals, delicious yogurt and selection of sweets. Wifi worked well.
Okay please keep this in mind: The night previous to my stay I had a fantastic small hotel that had a wellness center and included a 4 course dinner. By the time I paid for dinner at this present property it was about the same price. Rooms are very old style with the tiniest bathroom I have seen in my life ( I am a big guy).

Really cosy place. Small rooms, excellently arranged to make maximum use of a small space. Great location, only minutes from Grossglockner alpine road. Nice views from our balcony. Nice breakfast also. The host and hostess were very friendly and kind.
The bathroom was very small, like in an aeroplane almost. But we were fairly warned about that. But still, a large person would have trouble fitting.
Also I would say that the literature sitting around, books dealing with death, killing etc are a bit creepy. I would advise replacing them with something a bit friendlier.
In any case, I nice place, I would stay again.

The location is ideal for visiting the Grossglockner. Very clean room, friendly and welcoming hosts. Good simple food for dinner and a hearty breakfast, with plenty of coffee. On site parking for motorcycles.
Nothing.

The location was fine...on the way up or down to the popular Grossglockner pass. Nice outside balcony to eat and drink from and a small circular walk round the small village behind. Breakfast was included and fine.
I did not like my garret like room at the top. Value for money was poor. On this same trip for similar money I have had much better rooms. I am a motorcyclist and not young. We tend to bring all our luggage in to the room to keep it safe. The stairs were quite slim at the top. My bed...there were two similar in the room but not together, was pretty truckle like. The so called view was non existent as to see out of the window or draw the curtains you had to stand on a table by way of the chair. The bathroom was tiny, a plastic box but it did work.
The other thing I did not like was being pushed into eating early. The host hovered until I ordered, much earlier than I like to eat. Normal eating ...about 7.30pm. And then I had to pay by cash...no card accepted. This is Austria. ! Not sure what she was going to do if I had no cash. There was no warning of this before I ate.

We went skiing and couldn't have chosen better accommodation.
The room was just big enough, the bathroom was cute and small, but sufficient. The room was clean with a beautiful view from the bed and balcony. Breakfast was very plentiful with lots of choice of salami, cheese and more. For dinner we had a choice of two main courses and two appetizers or desserts.
The owners were very nice and even though we didn't speak proper German and they didn't speak proper English they tried to speak English with us and we always got along.
We thank our hosts very much and would definitely love to return if we ever go skiing on the Grossglockner.

itty bitty bathroom, was useable and clean but made me giggle the first time i stepped in the shower

Very good spot to look at stars at night since it’s very dark. We had a nice balcony. The breakfast was especially made for us by the host and very tasty. We recommend the sauna which you can use for 7,50 pp.
The bathroom is quite small, but we knew that already from other reviews :)

Good location just before Grossglockner High Alpine Road when coming from South Tirol.
Very friendly staff, clean room and premises, decent breakfast included in the room rate.
Nice walkway from the backside to nearby excellent restaurant Landgasthof Schweiger.
They did accept only cash, no debit/credit cards.
Sauna&gym were closed.

You stay here for the personal touch. The owners are amazing.
Dinner is possible till 19u. It’s homemade and very good. Breakfast is great.
The room is very clean and modern.
The shower is amazing, great water pressure. Note that it is very small, though.
Nice view of the mountains.
The beds creak a lot.

The owner was very friendly. He stayed up late for us to open the hotel for us. Later on when we left a wallet by mistake at the hotel, he kept it for us for 2 days.
Excellent service.
Thanks 🙏🙏🙏

Joseph was amazing to us from the first moment. At all times he was looking out for us so that everything would be to our liking. He received us and sent us away with a smile. We were very comfortable. Perfect place if you want to visit Grossglockner, very good value for money. Spectacular home-cooked food and service couldn't be better. Totally recommended

Flexible check in time and dinner was provided for us even though we turned up late in the evening. Really friendly family run establishment, beautiful location and great food. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed meeting the owner and appreciated her kindnesses to us during our stay, including allowing us to use her clothes dryer to get some clothes dried quickly. The rooms were great - roomy enough and comfortable. The bathrooms were just as tiny as advertised, but we were expecting that. It was great to have the use of the small kitchen and the lounge area as well. We were sad to learn that we were among the very last guests this owner would be hosting at her guesthouse as she had sold her property and was moving on. We wish her the very best as she was a lovely host.
