Amble overnight stay

Good location. Good car park.

The room needs a lot of attention! Bathroom in our room was awful. Window wall all damp. Definitely not good value for what we paid.

Seemed expensive for what it was and compared to others we stayed in during our trip.

Noise from extractor fan from the kitchen outside our room. Shower separate to the toilet and wash hand basin.

Lovely stay. Nice to be able to walk into town and the marina. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very clean and warm.

Just Ok but expensive for £72.00

Location was nice and excellent, Room was ok but sort of expected better for £72.00

Breakfast was NOT AS PET THE MENUE, for the signature breakfast it stated 3 Hog Pork Sausages and i only received TWO!!...also the bacon was cold not hot at all, seemed to be just warmed up in a microwave!!....NOT IDEAL AT ALL Only one piece of butter for 2 pieces of toast so NOT SUFFICIENT BUTTER GIVEN on the plate. It was not that they were rushed off there feet either TO GET IT ALL CORRECT as i was the ONLY PERSON STAYING THERE OVERNIGHT!! I FEEL LIKE I SHOULD ASK FOR A PARTIAL REFUND PLEASE!!???

Convenient and comfortable one night stay close to the coast path

Excellent location close to the Northumberland Coast Path. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Spacious room and bathroom. Plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby.

Lovely Pub Stay

A great room & very comfy bed for an lovely overnight pub stay. The staff were so friendly and helpful when booking me in and looked after me with a delicious dinner and hearty breakfast. Great location to explore beautiful Northumberland

Value for money, great breakfast, friendly but a little noisy

Lovely breakfast with a good selection of options (although I would have liked some wholemeal toast) Accommodating of my friend's gluten free requirements. Friendly and welcoming staff Spacious bathroom Good value for money

Our room overlooked the front of the pub and was a little noisy (traffic). It would have been nice if the triple room had had three single beds instead of a double and a single but it didn't really matter and we were mainly grateful that we didn't need to pay for two rooms.

Good value for money good location bathroom and room spotless staff were very professional

Can’t say there was anything we didn’t like maybe the room was ready for a lick of paint but we would rather have cleanliness over a paint job

Walking Northumberland Coast Path Great for walkers.

Room was large enough for 4 adults. Bathroom huge too.. Beds very comfortable. Breakfast excellent with great choice. Had evening meal which was great. We were there on a Tuesday night so took part in weekly quiz which was good fun.

The Wellwood was overpriced, understaffed and served terrible food – who’d have thought it was possible to cook sausage and mash so badly ! No internet and only intermittent TV reception. Appeared okay from the outside but entry into the guest area at the back looked pretty grim

Great location but pricey and breakfast not included!

The property was really clean, beds comfortable and the room nice and tidy. We had enough towels and the staff were very friendly.

No fridge in the room when travelling with a baby is difficult! For the money we paid I would have expected there to be one. The properly was also very expensive and breakfast was not included. 25% discount still made it quite pricey and we didn’t love the breakfast. 4 adults eating and everyone said the same. The lock on the bathroom door didn’t work, again this made it tricky when you’ve got a baby running round!

Location was good, as was the evening meal. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

Above the fan for the kitchen, breakfast although advertised from 8 am didn't start until 9 am, this meant a change of work schedule. Shower room had peeling paint on ceiling.

Not told in advance there would be entertainment that night. Food was way overpriced for quality, constant noise all night from coolers or Aircon system so really bad nights sleep.

States on booking.com that breakfast is included within the price. When arrived at the wellwood we was informed that they don't even do breakfast. If we knew we would of booked elsewhere. Due to it being a Sunday morning local cafes didn't open till 10am

Excellent stay

Lovely comfortable room, very clean staff absolutely amazing they couldnt do enough. We actually stayed the night before which was booked by a friend for her wedding. We should have moved rooms but they said we could stay in same room for 2nd night. We didnt realise that the owner used to own the boardwalk in whitley bay which we loved going to. Unfortunately it was pulledcdown when the sea front was updated a big mistake. The well wood is a very friendly pub. We enjoyed conversation s lot with the locals especially onesxeith dogs.

One of the radiators in bedroom wasnt working, someone came to check but needed a plumer but there was 2 radiators in the room and if bathroom door left open it was ok.
