設備乾淨整潔
地點估狗看起來不遠,但往旅館的路上都是上坡,加上冬季下雪,拖著行李走根本是崩潰,希望可以巴士站往飯店的增設接駁車QQ 比較適合自駕的旅客

Very nice onsen and you can use for free the onsens of this hotel chain in Zao

The food was excellent and the staff were very helpful. Comfortable beds and plenty of bedding.
I wish someone would have picked us up at the train station. As it was, we walked over a quarter of a mile dragging luggage up 40 deg inclined roads with switchbacks. Extremely fatiguing for this 67 year old and her 68 year old husband.

Great area with lots of hiking options, so many beautiful onsen to choose from.
Definitly reccomend the Lunch Options as they were incredible value and options outside the ryokan where limited during summer season.
The staff was friendly and accomodated us despite my broken japanese.
They even offer shuttle services to the vus terminal so you dont have to lugg around your luggage.
The in hotel onsen was cozy and offered a lot of space, but even if that does not satisfy your onsen needs, the hotel works together with other hotels so you can use their onsen for free as well (walking distance).
That together with the public open air onsen which are gorgeous and also only a couple mins walking distance away makes this an incredebly cozy eyperience.
If you are not used to japanese futon beds, you might want to ask for an extra futon ;)

Great location to the famous Takamiya group of Onsens. Next to the Dairotenburou (5 min walking) and close to Zao combini store and restaurants.
The room is too small but that’s expected

As always very polite staff and a traditional Japanese hotel room made this notable. The hotel helped us get a reservation at a sushi place and did speak some English to help us. There was a man to help carry cases in.
Despite arriving early we were told they had no room to accommodate us for dinner or (unbelievably) for breakfast the next day. But in this village nothing opens until mid morning, after check out. In the evening we had to go out for dinner but they had no umbrellas to borrow for the rain. We were not allowed to park in the many empty spaces in front of the hotel to drop our bags, but a man did help carry them in. However on departure he wasn't there so we had to carry to their second gravel car park. Now we had a car, and we can carry cases and walk through rain to eat, but if you didn't have those benefits you could have had a lot worse time.
Finally while traditional and well maintained the room was dated. No thermostatic shower valve means showers can become got it cold while showering. The air con worked OK but seemed quite dated and large vs more modern units.
Finally coffee places are limited in Zao Onsen so the fact the hotel has closed their coffee area meant there was no space to relax with a coffee or drink outside the room.

I was given the corner room at 2nd floor, right above the kitchen. The smells from the kitchen was terrible and strong! We had to close our room door tight! the smells wouldnt go away until next day! My worst ryokan experience ever!

Good value for money and very confortable futtons. The ambiance, location and amenities (especially the outdoor onsen) were great as well. The food was amazing, we loved our dinner and the overall experience was very relaxing. We had a good stay that met our expectations and would come again anytime :) !
Don't expect too much from breakfast (buffet style) but it was still much better than most places we've been.

offer a homely outdoor onsen.
staff was not attentive during dinner catering, staff will not notice customer’s need. you have to walk all the way to them for requests like refilling rice / water.
breakfast was mediocre and buffet style. nothing special at all.
not up to the standard of the hospitality usually offered by onsen ryoken.
far away from ski ropeway.

Both indoor and outdoor baths were really nice. The standard dinner menu was also quite rich with many local specialities. I also liked a lot the location.
The room was a bit worn in some spots but it was still really nice, considering the good deal I found.

This ryokan is absolutely lovely. The rooms are very spacious and clean. In addition to the usual amenities for an overnight stay the room included a tea pot and plenty of tea for our stay. The view from room was excellent.
The staff were incredibly accommodating and offers shuttle service to/from the Zao Onsen bus terminal.
The baths were lovely and there is a private one you can reserve with the staff at the front desk.

Love the ambiance. We loved our room. Normally we make our own futon in Ryokans but here in Meitoya, they make the bed for us. We were late for dinner but the staffs were really nice they even called to remind us. Love the onsen.

Not so far from one of the main base (10 min walk), good onsen.
We arrived before check-in time to leave the luggages and when asked about a restaurant to recommend as they were not being able to prepare vegetarian dinner (or modify in any way their set dinners) the slightly older gentleman at the reception said before 15:00 check-in time he is not able to answer my questions.
The transfer service was called off probably due to coronavirus we don’t know, however their sister property do run them. We had to walk to the slopes every day.
Private onsen closed.
Breakfast extremely poor, not something you expect from a ryokan.

Nice onsen. Comfortable rooms. Comfortable beds. Service was great. About 5 minutes from the lifts. The meals were good. Stayed three nights and they served something different every evening which was a nice touch as well.

Beautiful room, great meals, attentive staff
I was confused at which hotel it actually was. I thought I was staying at the one by the stairs, but this is actually their sister hotel called Meitoya So. When I showed up at the wrong place they called the shuttle bus from the other location for me to follow with my car to the location I booked.
