Fabulous stay on Babu

Everything was perfect, super boat in perfect condition. Great selection of drinks & snacks on arrival. Clarissa is a super friendly host. Would love to visit again.

Brilliant stay, will come back again.

Amazing stay- the host was quick to respond and very welcoming. We arrived at Puerto Calero and the host was waiting for us. She showed us the property and explained how everything worked. There was a complimentary bottle of wine, water and snacks! The boat is spacious, with three bedrooms and a bunk bed space. There are two toilets- these can be used only to wash face/ brush teeth/ pee, as it drains into the waters below. For all other business, there are communal toilets a short walk away. The boat has a kitchenette and a lounge, with all conveniences- coffee maker, sink, electric kettle, gas cooker, utensils, fridge, fan, TV, etc. We were out for the most part, and did not watch TV at all. Coffee was up on deck watching the sunrise 😍. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, shops, a supermarket and a pharmacy. The Intercity bus is a 5 minute walk, which takes you to all parts of the island. There is a ferry service as well from Puerto Calero to Puerto del Carmen. All in all, an excellent location and an excellent stay! Note: A deposit is to be paid at the beginning of the stay- the host will return this on before you leave.

Brilliant experience

Perfect location in The Port. Perfect host who explained everything. Clarissa was very helpful and greeted us on arrival. Welcome pack was a very kind gesture.

Nothing but we have stayed on boats before. It can be noisy at night if windy with the ropes. You need to use facilities nearby for showers/ number 2s which may inconvenience some.

First Class!

Everything was perfect you could not fault this boat, something of fine splendour! Sparking clean Beautiful welcome pack and cold wine in the chiller. Clarissa is a lovely welcoming woman and at the end of the phone if needed.

Superb

Velero Babu was an amazing experience and I would recommend it for anyone, a family who want an adventure or a couple who want a romantic stay and relax. Clarissa was an amazing host and loved her hospitality

Fabulous location in the marina. Unique experience to stay on the boat. Very friendly host.

There weren’t shower on the boat. Shower and a proper bathroom were in the marina. Bathroom was close, but it was not very comfortable to walk to the shower. Water in the shower was cold, not warm. it might be okay for hot summer, but not if it’s +18 only. Bathrooms (2) were really tiny. The bedrooms were tiny, we didn’t find comfortable to sleep in any of them.

Perfect spot in the centre of Puerto Calero!

Comfy beds and an unbeatable location right in the harbour in Puerto Calero. The boat is very spacious, well appointed with everything you could need and the wifi is excellent.

Fantastic experience in a stunning location.

Loved our stay on the boat, charismatic host, spotlessly clean, very well equipped and comfortable. Superb location and marina facilities easily accessible with children. Can’t wait to come back!

Fantastic Experience

We loved absolutely everything about the boat ! it’s location , how relaxing and calming it was to be on the sea and how surprisingly spacious the place was. Clarissa welcomed us with a big smile & lots of treats ! such a lovely gesture ! We liked the fact you can’t wear shoes on the boat which is ideal as the place is polished to perfection . We ordered a breakfast with Clarissa and it was very generous breakfast, you will definitely not be hungry afterwards ;) Clarissa thank you so much for such an amazing experience, all your recommendations & lovely chats . The boat is in a fabulous location and I would say an experience not to be missed. Puerto Calaro is great and the breakfast supplied by Clarissa is just great.

Exceptional

Clarissa is a top host. Changing of the towels every few days. Snacks, wine when we came on board. The boat is lovely. You can cook there, lay on the deck to take some sun. We miss the boat already, would definitely go again.

Beautiful location. Nice small resort.

Lovely boat in a beautiful location inside the marina, very short walk to lovely restaurants. The host Clarissa is very nice.

It was a first time for us sleeping on a small boat. Toilet facilities are not ideal. The beds are cramped and uncomfortable. There is a lot of noise from the ropes etc. It is a different experience to our usual holidays. I’m glad we tried it, however would not do it again, but that is down to personal preference.

Location was fantastic and boat very clean

It’s a lifestyle you have to get used too as space very restricted and beds not very comfortable but it’s a boat. Perhaps better mattress or mattress topper would help a little?

Millionaire lifestyle for a few days!

The boat, the fantastic location and facilities on board. Our host, Clarissa was very pleasant and helpful and even brought her friend, Ada, along to meet and greet us as she didn't trust her own English (which was much better than our Spanish!!). A welcome hamper awaited us and as we were arriving quite late, we asked if she could provide some creature comforts (pizza and wine) which she did, happily.

We loved our stay on the sailboat Babu.

We absolutely loved being able to stay on Clarissa’s boat. We were introduced with a nice bottle of wine and so many great snacks. The boat is docked at a great marina with really great restaurants and bars, you can order something and bring it back to the boat too. The owner was great, the boat was great, and location too. Having two bathrooms on the boat was great too! But, using the marina showers and bathrooms was easy and roomier, so it was great to have it all so close. Highly recommend

perfect and unique experience

perfect discovery and a pleasant change for a hotel room - I just loved being ' on board ' and feel the harbour and boatlife- very clean and comfy -

internet - but that wasn't such a big problem since you can go in the harbour cafés and get internet there

A wonderful start to our holiday!

As two adults and two teenagers this was a unique start to our holiday. The boat had everything you needed. We enjoyed breakfast every morning on the deck and spent the days enjoying the sun. The bars and restaurants are only a stones throw away as are the very clean toilet/shower facilities. The host Clarissa was amazing, we had a wonderful breakfast every morning and fresh towels were bought to us every day. She also very kindly gave us a bottle of bubbly to enjoy on our lovely evenings on deck. Highly recommend and can’t wait for our excursion on Clarissa’s boat coming up. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Perfect location. Approximately 50m to bars restaurants and supermarket. The private marina showers and toilets were spotless. Quiet and chilling atmosphere. Ideal for one or two couples. Our host was fantastic.
