1800-talsstilen var otroligt fin. Rummet, frukosten, cafe, personalen var toppen. Allt var 10 poäng 😊 Tavlorna som berättade historia.

Nice museum-style hotel in the centrum of old small town, the staff used traditional old dresses and the atmosphere was very pleasant. We had a nice bigger room and it was ok for our two-night birthday-escape stay. The beds were very good, not too hard, not too soft.
We found quite many small details, which made us sorry for the otherwise nice place:
1, we were surprised that even during weekdays the rubbish pins were not emptied - we did not expect any major cleaning or change of the bed sheets
2, in the room we had one soffa, one writing table and one chair (plus fridge+ coffee maker), but the two other small chairs were occupied as bed lamp stands. One more small chair would have made it easier to drink the coffee by the table...
3, in the breakfast room, we were surprised that during two mornings, the clients had to go three times to the kitchen to inform that coffee or some of the food was finished. It seemed that the staff had no idea to TAKE CARE of the breakfast clients. There was available only one-type full milk, only real butter, only one type of bread - in this kind of place some people would prefer light option. On the first morning, the eggs were ok and hard enough, on the second they were almost full raw and cold - quite few people like raw eggs...
4, I was able to connect my laptop to internet with the code provided, but all the time "no internet" was shown. Fortunately, we were able to connect to internet through my phone and from there we managed to see the daily news - the room had no television.

Good beds. Lovely linen sheets.
Small room.

The room was clean. The reception was really cosy.
Bed a bit hard. One more mirror would have been great when doing morning routines.

No tv in room.

Good breakfast. Interior decorated with style. Resembles a museum. Even the sheets and towels of cotton. Very good bed and pillow.
The walls like made of paper. Soundproofing almost nonexistent.

A very stylish and pleasant place to stay. I loved their way of decorating rooms in accordance to a historical person, down to a detail. We stayed in a room of a sea captain who had kept songbirds in his day, and the room included birdcages and birds (though not singing any more!).
I would have put up some shelves in the bathroom next to shower for the shampoo and soap bottles that now crowded the limited space of the bathroom. Where do you set the toiletries of 2 persons? And a small cupboard above the toilet seat to store extra rolls of toilet paper etc, because a toilet as such is always an unhygienic place, and storing toilet paper in the open air for a week or two is unclean.

The hotel is surrounded by historic buildings and the area is very pretty. Hotel itself is a true gem. The cafe, common areas and rooms are beautiful, which is purely why I chose this hotel in the first place. There's much to see for anyone interested in historic interior. It was nice to read about the history of the place. The breakfast was ok. Maybe a little "upper class" surprise on the breakfast table would've fit the surroundings that once accommodated one of the wealthiest men in Finland, but anyway you won't leave hungry, they've got all you need. The staff was exquisite and dressed in costumes to complement the overall experience.
We arrived around 5 pm on Thursday. It was a warm day and our room was boiling hot. It was literally unbearable, so we had to go outside to walk around while we waited for a small AC to cool the room while we were gone. To our disappointment there was nothing to see at that hour on a late august day. Every museum, cafe and almost every restaurant was already closed, so be prepared for that when planning your stay. We got some take away burgers to eat in the room. Sadly, when we arrived back the room was still way too hot to spend time in, so we ate outside in the courtyard which ended up having it's own charm. All and all, I'd suggest going some other time than summer and not expect much on the city itself.

Interesting historical old facilities with a lot of history in it.
Silence at the room is not a strong point of Langin Kauppahuone. You can hear loud and clear people opening doors and walking on other rooms. But hearing other guest snoring was a bit crossing the line, that was an unpleasant moment of my stay.
