THE CITY
In the Landes department and bordering the Atlantic Pyrenees, at the gateway to the Basque country, Tarnos is a small town of 12500 inhabitants. Tarnos offers a particularly preserved natural heritage. The Barthes district (wetlands along the Adour coast) is distinguished from the typically Landes littoral zone (ocean, dune, pine forest ...). In fine weather, the beach is poorly landscaped but monitored in summer, allows you to play on the sand as in the waves. The trails and the cycle path Vélodyssée under forest cover facilitate the practice of hiking on the other side of the dune. The intercommunal stadium, the skate park ... complete the range of sports equipment.
THE DISTRICT
Quiet area, near the forest and near the Parc de Castillon (15 min walk). The beach and its bike paths are 10 minutes away by car. You will find a Carrefour Contact, a pharmacy and a bakery at the top of the street, at 850 m. The city center is about 1 km away. Several shops and major retailers nearby (Carrefour shopping center, Gifi, Foirfouille, etc.
