High quality fittings and very clean
Some of the staff were fantastic - Michelle and Diletta couldn’t have been more helpful with restaurant bookings, transfers, ski-passes. Others were less friendly, as below.
Breakfast was too much of a show. There must be a lot of waste.
Some of the staff, apart from the ones above were rather indifferent, never engaged in conversation. Man at reception with glasses barely said ‘hello’. Breakfast service was a bit sterile.

We liked everything about this hotel. The design is very interesting, with lots of quiet spaces to sit, some interesting antiques and fixtures from the previous hotel that was on the site before this was constructed, and gorgeous picture windows, open spaces, lots of light, and a lovely homely feel to it. The architects and designers have done a wonderful job.
More than that though, the hotel is very well managed, efficient, with extremely friendly and personable staff, it was a joy, staff who felt that they were sharing their home with you. We loved breakfast, beautifully executed, delicious fresh and local food, and the presentation on the table was perfection. All whilst we sat at a beautiful picture window overlooking the garden, lake and towards the mountains. It was the most peaceful and relaxed hotel breakfast experience I have enjoyed in many a year, it was hard to leave the table. We didn't have time to use the pool or spa, I wish we did, it was very impressive. I have no reason to go back to this hotel, we were passing through, but it was so good we said in the car afterwards that we have to find a reason to revisit, but next time for a bit longer to really enjoy it properly.
That we didn't stay long enough. We were on a long haul drive through Europe and wanted somewhere interesting to stay. We stayed one night, but wished it could have been more

modern, sustainable, luxury
small detail, no hotel instruction pack in the room so you had no idea of what was available eg classes/menus/bar options/check out times/spa.
The restaurant Lo Bistrot was where we had to eat according to the hotel (as hotel was fully booked) and we were given no option other than set menu, we only had a small pasta dish off this and cost was £200, really upset us as no prices were given and we simply didn’t dream it would cost this much, ie the amount for eating all courses.
when we did eat in the hotel it was exceptional.

Our expectations of a 5 star hotel were definitely not met, too much was missing. The hotel is quite stylish and you can enjoy a few relaxing hours in it. The wellness area is inviting as well as the patio. Unfortunately, however, the negative points far outweigh them, which we list here:
Staff:
Check-in was rather cramped. The responsible person has probably tried to do everything as planned, but is not really up Accommodated our needs and kept pushing, right away
to park the car away. In the middle of explaining the hotel, the phone rang and she answered the call without hesitation, leaving us there. Welcoming someone is different.
Unfortunately, the staff has no local knowledge. They don't know at the reception which mountain railways are in operation in summer and don't bother to find the answers for us.
Unfortunately, when we checked out at 08:30, there was no one who knew how to check out at this hotel. The person present first had to find a person who can do the check-out. Although we wanted to check out at a normal time, we had to wait an uncomfortably long time.
In general, throughout our stay, the staff was rather arrogant, distant, and incompetent. We didn't get the impression that our well-being was at the heart of their motivation.
Room:
The rooms are very badly soundproofed, noises from other rooms penetrated directly into the room through the ventilation. In addition, the trampling of the children who lived above us was so audible that sleeping was only possible with earplugs.
The minibar was empty except for a bottle of water.
Unfortunately, the curtains only partially keep out the light at night.
The electronics in the room shine very brightly and the fire alarm flashes constantly, so that the room is not dark at night. A blindfold is recommended here.
The electronic room control does not work.
The furniture in the room for the clothes rack is more reminiscent of a youth hostel than a 5-star hotel.

Great staff and lovely pool and spa
only a fine dining restaurant in the hotel and after skiing we didn’t really want a long and large expensive meal. it could really do with a more informal dining experience.

Lovely setting with fabulous views of the mountains and the homonymous little lake off the balcony. Very comfortable beds and great bathroom very in keeping with the eco ethos. The breakfast was a feast and we also used the pool and the spa facilities which was just what we wanted after hike in the morning and the staff gave us additional towels and robes as we had already checked out which was much appreciated! The spa isn’t huge so might be busier when there are more guests!
We were one of only a few guests in the hotel when we stayed so the restaurant/bar/common areas didn’t have anything going on and it was also a bit hard to find places to eat open in the town! We also weren’t really given any suggestions of activities in the area but found some lovely walks ourselves!
10.0
Small thing, but plastic cups in the room did not really live up to the ecohotel brand positioning.
