Although we can't rent for parties. It's a great place for a family vacation, or stay while attending a family wedding or special event.

This place was the perfect spot for my family to stay for our reunion. Picturesque views. I grew up in the area, yet I felt I was in Northern Wisconsin. The neighborhood was quiet and relaxing. Fun to watch the boaters on the river. Lots of space for a large group to stay. Would consider this home again!

We were a group of 6 adults, in the area visiting extended family. This is a comfortable space with cozy common areas to eat and relax, along with the 3 bedrooms. Plenty of dishes, cookware, linens and towels were available, including extra blankets. The laundry machines were appreciated during our week-long stay. We enjoyed walking along the path next to the Fox River, which goes in both directions with entrances just a short walk from the house. We saw many geese and a variety of other birds, along the trail as well as in the trees next to the house, viewed from the windows. There aren’t any stores or restaurants in close walking distance, but the amenities of St. Charles and Geneva are within a short drive. We particularly enjoyed The Brunch Cafe and Tasty Biscuit. Access requires climbing an outside staircase, so this rental isn’t recommended for anyone who can’t manage stairs well. Otherwise, we give it a thumbs-up and would stay here again next time we come to visit family!

we are almost 11 men stayed this house for our annual gathering for 2 night. Wonderful location and nice house and was spacious. The house is clean and all the utilities at the kitchen. Outside deck and views are beautiful, many bed for all of us. The property owner, Rick, answered all of my questions before our arrival. We had perfect weather last weekend and loved using the fire pit at night.

The property was in the perfect location for our family. Great view of the river activities, indoor/outdoor summer living with a wonderful fire pit outside. Plenty of space for 10 people and everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

We spent our annual gathering of my sisters and their daughters (8 adult women) at the Fox River home. It was spacious and we really enjoyed being on the river in a quiet neighborhood and on the bike/walking trail along the river.

My family of 8 were fortunate enough to stay here over the recent Christmas holidays. We had 2 deaths in our family and this lovely home offered us a respite from our grief. The views of the Fox River were so healing and the home is so cozy with plenty of seating, gas fireplace and a lovely kitchen space with abundant supplies. Seriously so grateful for this wonderful property! The owner had the fire going for us when we arrived and was very responsive throughout our stay. We would love to stay again during the summer months to truly enjoy the river!

This wonderful house on the Fox River was a perfect visit for our extended family for Christmas. Rick was communicative and great to work with. Loved having two living areas for different groups to hang in to play games, watch movies, etc. The fire pit was great to use outside too! Thanks for everything!

We had a wonderful time biking the Fox river trail. The house was a perfect location situated on the Fox River, steps away from the bike trail. We had perfect weather and loved using the fire pit at night.

The inside was nicely update. Big enough spaces for various activities ie talking, games, etc. kitchen was very well equipped. Beds were comfortable ( except twin beds had plastic mattresses pads on them!) There were 8 women… needed more mirrors😊.The outside had a great view of the activities on the water, however deck and outdoor stairs needed some repair./cleaning. Walking trails were right out the door! Parking was great👍 Easy to find, close to St Charles, Geneva and restaurants

Great location and View!

We enjoyed a wonderful long weekend at the River House. Place was well stocked with all you could think of. We enjoyed the canoe and kayak, the river is perfect for it. Loved sitting on the deck (lots to choose from) and watching the boats go by. Great location to walk to multiples trails right from the house. Relaxing place, yet still close to many restaurants etc.

Great living area and open kitchen. Made lots of great meals there for our friends and family. Thank you for ice in the fridge. The deck is to die for. Kids had a blast here too, was nice there were some games there. Comfortable beds. We had just a glorious time hanging out and watching people go by on the river. A breath of fresh air.

We traveled twelve hours to attend a wedding and were truly taken aback by the peaceful tranquility with nature and the amount of comfortable places to just relax and take it all in! We were expecting a nice home but found sheer paradise with two separate living rooms with fireplaces and decks. Every bedroom has it's own deck and nature view as well! This house is the best we've stayed in around Chicago and honestly, we don't want to leave. Plan on falling in love with this house because every consideration has been accommodated for including access to the river and walking trails. We left the wedding early so that we could sit on the patio by the river and watch the sunset. We will return to this house soon.

Pleasantly surprised how beautiful the house is. The images do not show the gorgeous views from the living areas. A little off the beaten path to visit St Charles or Geneva, howver perfect for what we needed: a gorgeous place to stay, on the river, beautiful views, especially with the autumn colors.

Unbelievable river view from a pristine and cozy venue. Comfortable furniture and an inviting fireplace made our 5 day visit absolutely fabulous despite cooler weather. Rick answered all of our questions and was always available whenever we needed. Comfortable beds, awesome common space and easy-to-use, open kitchen. We would definitely like to return! The pictures on VRBO do not do it justice!

We came to the area to attend a wedding. With COVID concerns we wanted to stay somewhere fun and pools are closed. The river was great. Rick provides canoes and life vest. Our grandkids loved this house. Power outage caused by storms put out the electricity. Rick provided us with candles. Trails close by are great too.

We loved the place and location. Great for biking walking and running. St Charles has a beautiful river front park with paddle boats and a ferry. It was a wonderful experience except the exterior was a little rough. The canoe had two broken seats and was full of green water. There was tall grass and weeds and stuff laying around in the yard. My son was more than happy to scrub the canoe and dock so we could spend some time on the river. We put life jackets over the holes in the seats to make the canoe functional. We emptied the water of the kayak and flipped it over. We also washed the patio doors as they were filthy. Minor bad things as not to deter anyone from staying here. We would rent the place again.
