The house was very comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay. The location was very convenient to Bridgewater Plaza and easy water access out into the main lake. Nice to have the boat in a somewhat protected place so it didn’t bang around on the dock. Property manager was great and reached out to us right away after we booked

We had an amazing stay at the house. The house is spacious. The bedrooms and bathrooms were accommodating and comfortable. The kids had a blast in the downstairs with the DVDs, air hockey and pool table. The kitchen was clean and well stocked. The dock was in a tucked away cove allowing for uninterrupted swimming. There was plenty of life jackets and floats in the bin. The lake itself is gigantic! Great for site seeing, tubing and fishing which we did just about the whole trip! Location was great as it's close to stores and restaurants.

This was our 2nd stay in this house. It is located in a very quiet cove with deep water suitable for swimming and fishing. We spent most of the time on the dock which has nice covered area to keep yourself cool in summer heat.
The house was very clean, cozy, with plenty of space to spread after a day in the sun and water. Covered screened deck off the kitchen level is very nice to have , protects from elements, rain and moscitoes.

Though the stay wasn’t long, I enjoyed the home. It was spacious, clean, and overall a great home. The only disappointment is that we had to clean a portion of the patio to sit and enjoy the view. But it would not deter my future bookings. I just wish we could have enjoyed the the up and bottom patio more. I enjoyed the visit and the property.

We stayed at the house on Smith Mountain Lake for our family Thanksgiving. There was 10 of us and plenty of space. We had a great time lounging at the house and also taking the very short drive into town. Very convenient location! This home is lovely and we really enjoyed our stay. We hope to go back in the summer!

Your house was beautiful. We enjoyed our family weekend very much. I loved drinking my coffee on the porch swing early morning while watching the water. So relaxing! The inside is very charming and inviting. My family enjoyed the game room. Everything we needed was provided. The host was easy to communicate with prior to arrival. Would definitely stay again! This property is beautiful! It worked very well for my four sisters and me. We sat outside on the screened deck most of the time and ate several meals out there.
The kitchen was well equipped and large enough for all of us. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable.
We all agreed we would love to stay here again next year.

Great location...quick to restaurants, grocery stores, and boat rental Quiet deep cove great for swimming and non motorized activities. Beds are comfy. Homeowner is very friendly and quick to repond. Screened in porch and basement activities are great for poor weather.

Loved this property! We've been renting at SML for about 15 years and this has become one of my favorites. Nice, clean, well appointed home had everything we needed. We had a large group staying in 4 different houses. We hosted dinner for the group one night and there was plenty of room at the dock for all the swimmers, we had cornhole set up on the large lower deck, and made good use of the pool table in the basement. My favorite part is the screened uppder deck. The home's location was perfect for us by road and water...less than 5 mins. to Bridgewater. Owner was very friendly and responsive with my questions. We will definitely seek this house out again in future years! We had a great time...thanks!

This house is laid out beautifully for a big family to vacation in. It has plenty of beds and bedrooms, bathrooms, laundry room, big kitchen and dining area and TV rooms. There is a TV room upstairs and downstairs and a pool table and foosball game. Lots of DVD movies to watch. The upstair porch is so nice since it is screened in and the downstair porch is open. Stairs down to the dock and a nice quiet corner of the lake.

My family traveled from 3 different states to stay together. The house was perfect. Enough space for everyone. The weather wasn't the best, but we were able to enjoy the fire pit, dock, lake, and games. Perfect location and quick drives to restaurants, arcade, mini golf, and grocery stores. We stayed over the Memorial weekend, 3 families with kids between 5and 15 year old. The house was very clean, bright and spacious. All beds were comfy, linens and towels fresh and clean. Very spacious kitchen with all needed utensils and appliances. We had some periods of rain and covered screened deck was very nice to still be outside and enjoy lake view and fresh air. The dock is partially covered, which helped our fishermen during periods of rain and to keep their stuff dry. Very nice quiet cove with no traffic made it safe for kids to swim. Really enjoyed our stay!

We had a great girls weekend at this house. The house was setup well for a larger group. The kitchen has great counter space for preparing and serving. The couches are big and very comfortable. Very comfortable beds too! This home is convenient to everything - just minutes to grocery stores, Bridgewater Plaza and several restaurants. A lot of memories made and we will definitely make a trip back and stay at this home again!

Our family absolutely loved our stay at Sunny Days. It was tastefully updated from top to bottom. Furniture and beds were so comfortable I’ve ordered a sofa that we fell in love with in the house! The dock was great, we had so much fun swimming off of it and canoeing in the cove. The soaking tub was super relaxing, as well as the back decks for morning tea.
One reviewer mentioned the long walk from the house to the dock and there are a lot of stairs, but for our active, young family it was not an issue. The only hiccup for us was figuring out the thermostat; most basements tend to be cooler than main level and this was no exception but Ken was great and gave us some tips to balance warmer upstairs and cold downstairs.
We loved the pool and air hockey tables and only left the house for two outings! It’s just right for a relaxing family vacation: go ahead and book it!

Sunny Days was everything we wanted, needed, and so much more. The home is well decorated with lots of fun and useful extras. Besides being very clean, Sunny Days offers many forms of entertainment, both inside and outside. The setting is beautiful You will love the soaking tub! My granddaughter said it was "heaven." It is conveniently located to stores, a marina, restaurants, and many parks. The owner went above and beyond by reaching out to me personally to make sure we had an opportunity to ask questions and to introduce himself. He was responsive to all our questions in a timely manner. You will not regret renting this home. We can hardly wait to return!

This was a birthday gift to my husband. This home was at the end of a short quiet cove which would have little to no boat traffic during the summer months with the exceptions of the other homes within the cove. The wrapped screened in porch/deck was great. This home had all the amenities and was bright, clean, roomy and very welcoming.

Our second time here, fantastic time as usual - might have to be a tradition! Ken was incredibly responsive and the house is great, including some new renovated bathrooms! Great location with convenient access to food/shopping/wine, while still being peaceful and private on the lake. Highly recommend.

We had a very nice stay. Home - in particular all of the beds - very comfortable. Roomy and convenient to amenities. If you bring your pooch, house location is not ideal for longer walks, but I still would recommend. Owner was very responsive. We had a very nice stay.

This house was perfect for a weekend vacation! My husband and I along with a few friends were in Virginia for a wedding and the house was great for all we needed. It had updated features, nice large bedrooms, very clean, and gave plenty of space for the 6 of us to hang out!

The house was beautiful and had everything you or your family needs to have a great time at the Lake. Check in process was super easy and allowed us to get there and just relax. Communication between the owner was pretty good but could have been slightly better as we had problems with the television which we couldn’t quite get solved. Not that big of a deal. All in all I highly recommend this house for anyone looking for a beautiful lake stay and the decks were exceptionally nice to hang out and relax on.

Overall the house and dock were good. A few things need attention though. Grill is no longer usable, the pool table felt & bumpers need replacing and the air hockey was beat up and not usable. Outlets at kitchen island didn't work. House needs a deep cleaning as well.

"Sunny Days" was just as advertised. We enjoyed the location, the generous sized dock for hanging out, and especially the screened in porch for evening relaxation. We spent the majority of our time on the porch, and the remainder of the house, except for the kitchen, was secondary.
Beds were comfortable, master bedroom shower looked to be remodeled and worked well.
Some issues with cleanliness, but we're very discerning when it comes to this topic, and far from anything we couldn't overcome.
The owners were great and stayed in contact anytime communication was needed.
Really, enjoyed every minute of our stay, and would book again if the occasion arises.

What a great family vacation at ‘Sunny Days’! This place was perfect and plenty of room for our family of 10 (6 adults and 4 small children). Each couple (3) had their own bedroom, 2 king beds and 1 queen, and the kids were in another queen bedroom with a set of bunk beds. We absolutely loved the kitchen…it has been recently remodeled, was amply stocked and spacious. There are 2 family rooms, one upstairs and one downstairs, both with very nice sectional sofas. The family room downstairs is also a game room with a pool table and an air hockey table that was thoroughly enjoyed by everybody!! The whole back side of the house has six sets of sliding glass doors that offer an awesome view of the lake and the spacious dock below. There are 2 decks on the back side of the house, one open and one screened in with lots of deck furniture. The screened in porch has tables and chairs and was our preferred place to eat every meal. We were told before hand to bring Cheerios for the ducks and that was a highlight of every day. We went through 3 big boxes and had a blast feeding them hungry duckies!! And one of the best things about our stay was the ‘Ice Cream Boat’ that came everyday. Just listen for the music and when you see it coming, throw your hand up in the air to wave him down and he will pull right up to the dock! Our host, Ken was so great from the very beginning. As soon as we booked, he called us and chatted as if we had been friends for years. He gave us great tips and info and told us not to hesitate to call or text if we had any other questions. When we did have questions before our stay, he called us promptly and helped us out with everything we needed and more. We could not imagine a better place to stay or a better host who we feel is now a friend. Thank you so much for offering ‘Sunny Days’ for our great vacation stay!

Family Fun at the Lake
We were very happy with the property. There was a lot of problems with the first floor deck. Dirt and the furniture was not in good shape. The upper desk was nice but the screens need to be cleaned. Otherwise, the inside was great with some new upgrades to the bathrooms, bedrooms and kitchen. The downstairs temperature was hard to regulate (very cold) but the billiard table and air hockey was a hit with the everyone. There are lots of DVDs to watch.

Great Vacation
We started vacation with two flat tires, and a Bimini top coming loose on way to vacation. When we got there I promptly lost my phone in the lake. That being said it was all worth it. The property is terrific roomy and clean. You just can't beat it. We will look to stay there again next time. Ken was great to deal with. Now if the lake would just give my phone back...
