What a great house! We had a large group staying while we participated in an event at Pico. It was perfect for us. Close to the mountain, lots of room, inside and out. John was a wonderful host, very attentive and responsive. Thank you for a memorable weekend!

A group of us guys have come to Killington every year for the last 6 years, always staying in a rental. This place is very spacious, however I would caution anyone interest. Upon opening the front door you met with a musty smell of an animal. The skylight above the kitchen table has mold on it. There were multiple piles of dog feces on the front deck. A think layer of dust on the fans in the bedrooms. The description states that the property is ten minutes away from Killington resort, when in actuality it’s closer to 20 minutes. If I would have known the actual distance I may have sought something out a little closer to the town. Beds did not have sheets on them, there were sheets in the closet….however after paying as much money as I did to rent the place, I feel like that is an inconvenience.

Great location to ski Killington. Loved the wood burning stove, and use of the garage was a plus since we have some bad weather. Lots of space to spread out along three floors. Host was very helpful.

We had a group of 8 friends for a golf trip and couldn’t have been happier, the house had everything we needed and John was great when we had questions!

The families of our two children, 8 people altogether, stayed for 5 nights and found the house spacious, comfortable and well-stocked. It suited us all perfectly. We made a few fun visits to the nearby town recreation center for swimming and pickle ball. The host was very communicative and welcoming.

Great spot with a great view, lots of room

Large, comfy house, accommodates a big group, quiet neighborhood with beautiful hikes nearby, a helpful, responsive host, fun in the warm weather and seems like a great base for Killington and Pico skiing in the winter

Fully equipped sprawling house away from it all with mountain scenery. Kids had fun collecting creatures from the pond. Saw some deer just across the road.

The house was a described. Clean and comfortable for our group. The availability of the garage was a bonus for keeping our motorcycles dry overnight. Very nice, scenic area.

The property was set in the woods and it was beautiful. The hosue is perfect for 2 familys, or 1 large family. Plenty of space for everyone.
I house needs a little tlc in some areas and we wish the yard was mowed so we could have enjoyed the back yard more

A wonderful home, abundant firewood, very clear instructions, TV worked great. Highly recommended.

Overall a very good and cozy stay, roughly 15 min from killington ski resort. A couple of minor considerations like a squeaky floor on the second floor and not super comfortable mattress, but these are minor details and we all had a great time staying in this house

This is a superior, roomy, immaculate dwelling. John the host was awesome and very attentive. The house was perfect for our group - we have been renting properties in and around the Killington area for over thirty (30) years now and to date we have yet to find a place that compares to this house. Just a lovely space for our group.

The house was perfect for a ski trip! Incredibly spacious, cozy, and clean, and we loved the wood-burning fireplace!

The host was available and communicative. House is huge and has a great location and vibe. Huge windows with gorgeous private views. It was warm and cozy (even if we weren’t able to use wood stove due to door not closing properly). Bathrooms are awesome and a couple look newly done. Dining room table is huge and perfect for apre ski dinners. Showers were great. We were just 4 people but the house would be awesome For two families as it has another whole kitchen and living room downstairs.
We stayed during a snow storm and had no problems. Electricity stayed on. Plow was timely and thorough. Garage availability (even though our car didn’t fit) it awesome!! Boot room For skis and boots was divine. And very warm.
Few things to note:
1. You will have to make and strip beds. Plan accordingly.
2. Check out time is on the early side. 10 am.
3. The downstairs had some areas that looked like they were being renovated and paint had not been finished. Doesn’t impact use at all.

Killington ski trip with family. 15 minutes drive from lifts. Beautiful quiet location on hill. Perfect for a day of skiing and relaxing afterwards.

Nice property, close to Killington Mt. Second time we stayed here. Would like to stay again in the future.

We are a group of friends that have been skiing together for years. John’s house suited us perfectly. We especially liked the big table that sat everyone comfortably. The upper oven on the stove took some figuring out but we eventually mastered it. We intend on returning.

Great main space to cook, relax and spend time as a group. Overall the house was spotless, but the fridge and oven needed some attention. The location and property is beautiful and well maintained. As a host, I was disappointed not having a proper private on suite bathroom. The only bedroom with private bathroom was located in the basement and was exposed to the home boiler, hot water tank and laundry. Not a pleasant experience when using the bathroom and also inconvenient when guest wanted to use laundry machine. Out of the 5 bedrooms, 3 couples complained about the mattress quality and not sleeping well.
Great home for a large group.

We enjoyed our stay at this spacious house with a group of 9 ppl …. I think this house can fit 12 ppl easily
The house was very nice and clean except for one little stain when we arrived in the basement but was taken care off after a brief communication with the owner
The owner always promptly responded to whatever questions we have
This was actually the second time I have stayed here and will definitely be back again
Hugh house and affordable… excellent combination for any rental and highly recommended

This was our 2nd year in a row staying at this place. Great location to the ski hill and very relaxing home to come back to after a long day on the ski hill. Highly recommend staying at this house. John is a great host!

We had a great stay. House was perfect, communication with home owner was great. Good location near the mountain. Plenty of space

This house is in the perfect location to easily and quickly get into Killington but feel tucked away in nature. The house is spacious, with a lot of room for a lot of people. The owner was very responsive and kind.
The only awkward experience happened at checkout. The people, who I believe were coming to clean the house after us, arrived 30 minutes before the checkout time at and sat at the end of the driveway, waiting for us to leave.
Other than that, it was an outstanding place to vacation with friends!

Amazing place and John was fabulous to work with. Would certainly go back again.

The house was big enough, the kitchen big enough we were 9 and then we were only 5 the table is the right size for a big group
We do not drink alcohol we do not smoke we do not party we did attend a wedding an hour away. We went hiking and the children played soccer in the back of the house. We went to an open air museum and spent an afternoon at à Lake. It is quite isolated.

Host was very accommodating and area is very beautiful. Upstairs is a pleasant rustic cabin with solid features. Basement is a little dated and might have a moisture issue. The main issue we had was that the cabin is labeled as having air conditioning. That consist of one one window unit upstairs. The week we stayed in July the cabins main floor was 85+ just about everyday. I know Vermont generally is not that hot, but feel this cabin is definitely better for the winter months.

Beautiful 5 Acre Property
Upon arrival, the property was beautiful. You get a quick view of the pond before you arrive to the house. You can tell that the inside of the house has been well loved and used. The kitchens were fully stocked. Plenty of seating space for the 7 of us in both the living area and the dining room table. We loved going to the pond when we had some down time to look at the bull frogs & newts.
The house was in a great location! Close to Killington but still felt like you were in your own oasis!
John Frank was very easy to communicate with. He was in the middle of renovating the lower floor bathroom. He made sure we were aware of this before we arrived. While we were there, we noticed that the pipe was leaking in the bathroom he was renovating. When I reached out to him with the concern, he was very prompt to respond.
I would not hesitate to stay here again!

Wonderful and secluded property.
The owner of the home was very responsive. The home is large and clean. The home is secluded with no neighbors in sight. We would definitely like to stay again in the winter.

Great weekend in VT
My family and I stayed in this beautiful home over the Memorial Day weekend. We attended my sister's birthday which was down the road in Stockbridge, a quick ride to her house. John's house accommodated our family of 8 adults and 4 children. We had plenty of room to gather in the home. It has a nice size livingroom, a large kitchen table which we were all able to sit at for meals and a big kitchen to prepare and cook meals. All the bedrooms are a nice size and it has plenty of bathrooms to accommodate a large group. The land around the house is beautiful which includes a very nice pond where toad, frogs, tadpoles etc live. A great place for the kids to discover nature. I highly recommend John's house, you will not be disappointed.

golf weekend
We had 10 guys for a golf weekend tournament we all played in and the house was just perfect for our needs. We did all our own cooking at the house and had some wonderful meals and there was plenty of room in the kitchen for all our needs. It was a nice quiet location and everyone had a great time. Would go there again for sure.

Big Spacious House to Spread out in
We stated for some spring skiing at Killington in early April. House was 100% adequate for us. It is very spacious with. Our Granddaughter wore us out with wanting to play Hide and Seek.

Our family (2 adults, 5 teens) had a great stay here. There were so many sleeping areas that the kids actually got to have their own spaces, which was fantastic. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to make our own meals and it was super close to Killington for snowboarding. The house is well lived in and has some water smell to it but it didn't really matter because we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I hope to come back next year!

Perfect home for a getaway weekend of skiing
House is situated on a large private lot. If you want a quiet place to stay that is an easy drive to Killington or Pico, this is a great place. The home was larger than we expected and very comfortable. Plenty of beds and the kitchen table could easily seat 12. There were plenty of towels and bedding, as well as a second kitchen and family room downstairs. The wood burning stove on the main floor kept the place very cozy. I would highly recommend this property and would definitely stay there again.

Greta house for a Killington weekend
Can’t really go wrong with this home for a weekend in Killington. I rented this house for a ski weekend with my friends and we all really enjoyed the house, especially the wood burning oven in the main living room. It’s about a 10 min drive to the mountain and there is some typical minor aging/water damage to the house, but otherwise it was perfect. John, the owner or prop manager was easy to work with and friendly to talk to. Highly recommend this house for a larger group looking to vacation in or around Killington.
