Marion was so lovely! She stayed open at the front desk on the day I arrived because my flight got in late. She was very helpful and gave me suggestions for things to do and she helped with my taxi. She made a lovely breakfast as well! I was so impressed! In terms of the property, the hotel is super cool. It is actually one of the 15th century buildings. It felt like I was living in a Shakespearean play :-). The decor is very cute and the room was very comfortable. I would recommend the property to absolutely anyone (although not suitable for wheelchairs). I loved my stay and I was so happy!!! Thank you!
I loved everything!

Wonderful B&B room was lovely and breakfast was amazing. The homemade apple cake was great plenty of fresh produce.
Nothing to complan about

Very nice character.

Central location. Interesting old building. Comfortable bed. Great breakfast (delicious apple cake!)
Easy from train station (metro to ‘La Republique’ then a short walk).
4.7
Great location, comfortable room
breakfast was fairly good, but I really missed having crunchy bread. The emphasis was on sweet things -- a home-baked cake was offered every day -- but I don't eat sweet things for breakfast and the bread was disappointing.

it’s historic and beautiful

Breakfast was excellent, fruit, crepes, croissants etc . Room was spacious and individual - totally unlike chain hotel rooms.
It was difficult to find by car because of the one-way streets, and very narrow laneways. But worth perservering for.
4.7
Beautiful building with fantastic features, situated in the heart of the city, feet from the cathedral!
The bathroom was small but perfectly functional!
4.7
Everything was perfect. The room was beautifully decorated with everything I needed.
Nothing

Everything. really good for our family, the apartment had space for us to not be on top of each other like in motel rooms.
Nothing. it was all great!
4.7
A wonderful place in every respect. A look at the photos of this beautiful and historic place shows how nice it really is.

Great character B&B property with the most helpful owner imaginable. Beautiful breakfast with plenty of choice. Located right in the heart of the old town.
We had a lovely room with a compact ensuite, which was adequate but quite small. next time we’ll book the much larger Marnie Room.

historic property in old town.

Unbeatable location, this hotel is a small old house with eclectic decoration, with all one may need to have an excellent experience in the city.
The house features a chill out area that was a nice place to relax after strolling around.
The owner was very nice welcoming us and helping in anything needed.
To note that tall people will need to mind their head in the old stairs :)

A lovely, small, quirky hotel based in this handsome, historic house in the heart of Rennes' old town. Friendly host. Our room was magnificent, enormous, wooden floored and atmospheric. We had the most wonderful meal at Estime, a restaurant a couple of doors down from the hotel; highly recommend!
We had our two adult sons with us, each with their own room and one drew the short straw of the very small room at the very top of the house. The climb was not an issue for any of us, but, having arrived in exceptionally hot weather his room was stiflingly hot.

Excellent location , very Quirky property but with character.
Room was very small but clean and tidy , Shower room , toilet was very small and was not comfortable at all , shower cubicle was the minimum size meaning that it was not possible to have a proper shower in any comfort.
Unfortunately one night was the maximum we would have stayed.

Lovely, full of character and spacious… and a wonderful breakfast !!

We absolutely loved this very different type of property. The decor was carefully planned and executed for this beautiful building. This place is situated in an ancient building with beautiful features. We loved the decor and respect for the features. The breakfast was typically fresh continental. Marnie and Mister H is beautifully situated for easy access to lovely restaurants and shopping.
While we loved this place and would not think twice about returning, it is not an easy drive into Rennes but perhaps it was our timing. We arrived at a busy time in this bustling city. Parking is not available at the property like most inner city accommodation.

Great location, charming building and friendly and efficient staff.
Nothing. Everything was great.
4.7
Everything! Really charming apartment, fantastic location, outstanding breakfast
4.7
Marion was super friendly and a great host
Delicious breakfast with homemade French pancakes and pastries
Beautiful spacious room
Very well thought out decoration fitting the historical building beautifully
Comfortable bed
Very efficient fan
Very nice bathtub
Bathroom is not fitted for a proper shower (but understandable considering this is an old historical building which constrains what can be done)

Location!
Breakfast was minimalistic. Our room had a door which also served as the only window. This door opened up onto a common area which meant that we had to close it on a hot summer night.
4.7
Amazing old building. Great location and very pleasant host. Highly recommend

Amazing friendliness and service on the part of Marion, the manager. Ideal location for touring the old town. Being in the hotel was like stepping back in time. I loved every bit of it.
They should get a curtain for around the shower.
