In hotel dining was not aimed at customers.

Loved the spaciousness of the junior suite we reserved as a day room.
It also had excellent AC
Pool area and fitness center both very nice
Easy walking distance to most downtown features as well as our cruise ship (Paul Gaugin)
Very dim lighting on fourth floor upon checkin making it hard to find our room where the small light over the door had burned out.
Room 405 needs a better AC - no where near as good as the two in 403 or 410
Would have appreciated a working ice machine

Die perfekte Lage zur Innenstadt und zum Hafen.
Es ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen und deshalb an verschiedenen Stellen Renovierungsbedürftig.

Liked the early morning check-in, person on reception was nice & helpful.
One lift was out of service for a few hours & the Visa machine didn't work when we were checking out, but apart from that, it was a very pleasant experience.

Close to the cruise terminal.
We had a junior suite, separate bedroom.
Pool deck was good.
No English language t.v.
Hotel is dated and needs a bit of TLC which they are working on.

Easy access to and from airport; walking distance of ferry terminals, restaurants, parks and historic/cultural sites. Street lighting could be better but no problem walking around at any time, day or night.
More lounge chairs at the pool. More outlets in the room and better lighting in the bathroom. In-hotel dining options are very limited; excellent yet expensive. Fortunately there are many other options along the waterfront, a short walk away.

Proximity to ferry
AC was not turned on in two bedroom suite before arrival. Even after AC units turned on after entering room, temp was sweltering and about 92 degrees F the entire night with no ability to open windows on 2nd story. Additionally, the 2 sets of large sliding doors on patio both had broken locks with patios being accessible via small wall from other rooms or a short climb from the bottom of a rough neighborhood filled with unsheltered people.

We booked an executive suit and for 5 people great amount of room.
This property has been very good in its day but the exterior and aspects of the pool for example have been left to deteriorate which is a real shame. Hotel staff were helpful and attentive except the attitude of the guy on the front desk when we were leaving, and our taxi did not arrive. he continued to give heaps of attitude because we didn't book the cab through them. Unnecessary as we were overall very happy with our stay which was a transit stay as we were catching the 7 am flight.

On Dec. 31, 2022, my husband and I booked a large room (1 king bed) with living room in order for 4 people to deposit bags and use the bathroom, if necessary. We arrived at 5 pm, had dinner plans at 6 and a flight that evening for which we had to leave for the airport by 9 pm. Upon arrival, the check-in male employee told me I had only marked 2 people but there were 4 of us. I explained we just go the room to have somewhere to deposit our luggage for a few hours, so we could go to dinner in town before our flight and we would not be spending the night. He then insisted I would have to pay the equivalent of an extra $60 for the 'extra guests.' So, I told him only two of us would go up and drop the luggage, to which he responded that now that he knew the luggage wasn't ours, we could not bring it up to the room because of 'liability' (even though our friends were right there in front of him and agreed on the plan). This is clearly ridiculous and shady. The man was so rude it was just unbelievable. I then asked to reserve a taxi for the airport at 9pm. He did call the room to inform us it had been arranged, but when we figured we had a bit more time than we thought, I called to see if the driver could come at 9:15, to which he just responded that we were lucky he got us a taxi at all. I might add, because we really needed somewhere to deposit our bags that evening we all kept calm while expressing our incredulity and displeasure, but in the end we just sucked it up. Fool me once...Never again.

Convenient to airport. we needed to trims and this offered that. it was clean and comfortable. the kitchen/dining space was a nice surprise - good for longer stays.
the halls were super dark outside the rooms. no convenient food places and the restaurant is only open at certain times on weekends. the bathroom showers leave a lot to be desired. they’re European, but you end up taking ‘boat showers’ since the shower head is awful. I didn’t use the gym (one day stay), but I was impressed with its offerings. high end equipment - to include really nice free weights. the pool is not as big as the website pictures make it seam, but it’s a nice pool.

Mildew in bathroom and dirty light switches made the overall cleanliness see lacking. Nice room but would have been more comfortable if seemed more clean.

Location is convenient and within walking distance to town. Enjoyed gym facility with access straight into the pool. Luggage storage on check-out before we got picked up later in the afternoon was so convenient and at no extra cost. Mauruuru Hotel Tahiti Nui.

Reception staff are excellent. Good open air pool on level 2. Hotel location is excellent - right next door to a minimart (at the petrol station), just down the road from a terrific crepe caravan (Les Folies Légères - evenings only) and round the corner from some of the best pizzas ever (NY Pizza). An easy walk into town - good pâtisseries, restaurants and lunch places, souvenir shops and the Marché are under 15 minutes amble.
A bottle opener would be handy - we couldn't open the local beers we wanted to try. The king size bed was great, but needed king size sheets, not queen... But these are niggles, not major issues!

The hotel is located very central in Papeete and is very convenient. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the hotel has good facilities and a nice ambiance. We particularly liked the swimming pool, on-site restaurant and day spa.
While a full kitchen is provided, it has no equipment so you can't use it. There is no fry pan, pots, coffee making, wine glasses, bowls or cleaning products. This is very unusual for a hotel and if a room has it kitchen, it is usual to provide equipment otherwise travellers are unable to use it. The shower was also a hand-held with no wall mount, making it an uncomfortable squat in the bath each time. Not what I would have expected from an expensive and high-end hotel.

The room was beautiful, equipped with towels and soap (no showergel/shampoo), the staff were friendly, location is great
Checkin is at 13:00, room wasn’t ready at the time (hotel isn’t fully booked). The hotel can’t do anything about the noise, but goooosh is it loud: whether it’s an ambulance driving by or roosters making a racket, constant noise.
The extra charges are ridiculous. Ordered a hot chocolate with the continental breakfast (included) = extra charge. Bag storage = extra charge. The fact that you have to pay 60€ (30€/suitcase) to have them keep the luggage in a back room with about 20 other suitcases is just a plain rip off.

Room was big and comfortable, perfect for our family of four. Glad we upgraded ensuring we all had beds since stretching out after the flight felt amazing. The front desk man was really sweet and friendly, helping us locate more appropriate food (100 meters from hotel) for my kids that were asleep on the lobby sofas during check in (the restaurant onsite is fancy French food). I’m so happy we booked here vs the Hilton or Intercontinental; right downtown, room was way bigger at a better price, and hotel was much nicer than I expected. Note that the airport taxi was about $30 even though it was approx 10 min drive into town.
We were only here one night so it more than met our needs. Some parts of hotel are slightly tired but overall thought it was a charming place. I brought a flashlight based on other reviews and while it was dark it wasn’t bad. Our phones would have been just fine. The screeching roosters at 5:30am HST are a real thing. I woke up naturally due to time change but now that I hear them they are consistent howlers - LOL! Not loud enough to wake anyone, my family is still sleeping.
