About this chalet rental
Three bedroom, 2 1/2 bath, and sleeping loft with sweeping views of the ski slopes. Custom built log cabin on 5 acres with lots of sunlight and large deck with spectacular views of Belleayre Ski Center and the surrounding mountains. Sits on very private, yet open property with lots of room to enjoy the yard and its surroundings. PRO-CHEF Monogram Dual Fuel stove, brand new (as of Nov 2021). Fully stocked gourmet kitchen with stainless appliances and granite countertops. Hand made cabin furniture. Gas fireplace in Great Room. Master Bathroom with Jacuzzi tub. Full walkout basement with foosball and shuffleboard. Comfortable beds: 2 bedrooms with queens, 1 bedroom with 2 twins, and a sleeping loft with a full size futon. Get away from it all yet stay connected with great cell coverage and 55" flat screen satellite TV. Netflix, Amazon Prime, Apple TV, Disney Plus, and thousands of channels are available. Only 5 minutes to Belleayre Mountain and Pine Hill Lake to enjoy both winter and summer activities, including Belleayre's Summer Music Festival, and swimming and boating at Belleayre Beach. Plenty of hiking, biking and walking on the 1.5 mile quiet neighborhood loop. A convenient location with easy access to Rte 28 and just 45 minutes from Kingston, Exit 19 on the NYS Thruway. Local Points of Interest: The cabin is located In the heart of the Catskills, only 8 miles from Margaretville, 12 miles from Phonecia and 29 miles from Woodstock. These towns offer shopping and places to eat. The area boasts lots of hiking trails and fly fishing and tubing in the Esopus Creek. (Woodstock is my personal favorite.) For special occasions: I have contacts for private chefs and masseuses in the area who will come to the house to make your stay even more spectacular.

Great 3 bedroom and a sleeping loft just a few minutes from Belleayre. The game room in the unfinished basement provided hours of entertainment for kids and adults alike. Great spot for a weekend getaway!

This is our second stay at Matt's breathtaking property. Never disappointed, the property is always very clean and ready for occupancy. Matt is always available to answer any questions that may arise. Will defiantly be booking in the near future.

Stayed here for our annual ski trip and fully enjoyed everything about the cabin. Great location and had a lot of fun playing the games at night, although didn't get a chance to enjoy the hot tub. Communication with Matt was very easy and the house had everything that we needed.

Beautiful, well-appointed home! Cozy and very nicely decorated, with all the little details mainly owners overlook. A cabinet full of spices, a shelf full of games, and all the conveniences of home! Matt is a great host, easy to communicate with and thorough, he provided lots of great recommendations on where to eat and shop.

This was my second time staying in this property and it was even better than the first time around! Everything was really clean, brand new furniture was waiting for us.
I have rented several places in the area and this is hands down the best I have been to. The beds are comfortable, the place was ultra clean, the hot tube works (which believe it or not is actually rare) and the house is full of games and activities. Don't hesitate and go spend some quality time in Matt's property. You will not regret it :)

This cabin was absolutely stunning with everything we could possibly need for a long weekend in the mountains. Matt did a great job giving us lots of recommendations for things to do and places to go/eat. There were lots of great hikes and things to do nearby. The location was gorgeous and secluded. Matt made check in/out a breeze. Loved the hot tub, walk in shower, wrap around deck, and fireplace. Thank you for making our trip a huge success!

Great place to hang out and relax... know you may need to travel some short distance for activities, hikes and groceries. Lots of wildlife and quiet!

Matt’s house worked great for our stay during The Running Kind event at Belleayre. Very spacious and quite area. The house had everything and more that we needed in the kitchen and bathrooms. Hot Tub was clean. Thank you Matt!

The property is extremely well maintained. The house is something out of my dreams! Perfect getaway if you're looking to be away from people, but not too far from other plsces you can still visit. Matt is amazing, he was clear with instructions on checking in and out, he gave me a ton of recommendations! We will be booking again next year! Beautiful, amazing, exceeded my expectations. I wish I could rate everything 1,000 stars.

It was perfect for our long weekend getaway. The home was spacious, clean and comfortable. The beds were all very comfortable and the kitchen had everything you would need. The views from the deck and living room were beautiful and it was serene and quiet.

My wife and I spent 5 nights with our dog. We had an outstanding time. Matt was excellent in helping the entire process from a prep phone call explaining the door keypad, where to eat, ideas on where to hike etc.
The house was very clean. The beds were amazingly comfortable. The hot tub was great after a day of hiking. The solitude and serenity were exquisite. I suppose it had to do a bit on when we visited (not ski season) but we saw a total of 2 cars pass the house in 5 days. So quiet. Wonderful!

This was our 2nd stay at Matt's property. Everything was as listed and Matt was very responsive to our questions and concerns. Enjoyed the proximity to the ski slopes and the hot tub for after ski. Children enjoyed the games in the basement.

We had an amazing family weekend getaway at Matt's cabin in the mountains. The house was exactly as described and did not disappoint. We enjoyed all the amenities, from the fireplace and large TV with many streaming channels, to the foosball table, ping pong table, and shuffleboard in the basement. We especially enjoyed the outdoor hot tub after skiing.
The house was well stocked with towels and blankets, and the kitchen was also well stocked with all you needed. The appliances were like new.
The property and views were amazing; my family of six and my dog Cruz had the best time. We look forward to coming back soon.

The house was just as advertised and property owner was easy to work with. The property is secluded and peaceful. We definitely relaxed and enjoyed cooking in the kitchen. Will consider staying again.

We had a great family getaway at Matt’s cabin! The cabin had everything we needed! The hot tub was amazing. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. Plenty of blankets and pillows. 3 bedrooms plus the loft with futon gave us plenty of room and beds. The tv had plenty of channels and streaming services. There wasn’t a whole lot to do in November, but we did take Matt’s recommendation and hike Giant Ledge. It was a great hike with a nice challenging incline for the first half. On our last night, we enjoyed “tacos and tequila” at Tito Banditos” which is 7 mins away. There is a grocery store with pretty much anything you need just about 15 mins down the road in Margeritville. This a great place to unwind and unplug with your family!

We had a wonderful few days here. The house is very well kept and clean. Location is private and quiet. Lots of room for the dog to run around in the yard.

Stunning
I wish I could give this property a bad review so it was always available when I want to stay. But the house is wonderful the lawn is fantastic and the light can't be described.
Only note is that the footfalls on the second floor are loud in the master bedroom and it might be helpful to have an FAQ about the house in a book somewhere.
I will be returning!

My husband and I work with people on a daily basis and we were in need of a good rest and recharge where we could just enjoy the peace and quiet of the mountains. Matt’s Catskill Cabin did NOT disappoint! It is located on a VERY quiet street, we barely ever even saw a car drive by. It was perfectly quiet and beautiful. As other guests have said, the stars at night were breathtaking. We even got to enjoy the total lunar eclipse from the deck (and from the living room right out the windows) one night which was an awesome bonus! The cabin itself was beautiful, had a good layout, and was cozy. We loved sitting by the fireplace on in the early mornings or nights when it was chilly (the weather was still pretty cold at night when we were there), just sitting in the great room with the wall of windows and the fireplace dancing was so relaxing. We stayed for 10 nights and we would have loved to have stayed even longer, we were sad to leave. Overall, it was just perfect. The downstairs bed was super comfortable, the walk in shower upstairs was very large, the hot tub worked great and was relaxing, tons of movies to watch on his streaming services, plenty of towels, sheets, blankets, etc available, there was even a surprising collection of pantry items (condiments, smores fixins, oils, salt/pepper, spices…).
If you are looking for something relaxing and quiet, Matt's place will do the job of refreshing your soul.
Matt was also very kind and easy to communicate with. He is a great host. A++ to Matt and his beautiful cabin. Thank you!
