Nice spacious accomodation with great view and an over water balcony. At night there was a light under the house, which attracted so many fishes, even a shark.
Bit too expensive for what they ofered.

Charming place. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and the staff were amazing. Meals at the on site restaurant were the best we’ve had in Bora Bora.

We had the overwater bungalow and it was absolutely perfect. It’s spacious, huge bed, clean bathroom and even serviced daily if required. Tea/coffee making amenities and fridge was a bonus! Straight access to the water & jumping deck next to the bungalow. The view is incredible and it’s such a treat to enjoy the sunsets straight from your terrace. Short walking distance to the port and city with all amenities and shops. Stuff was super friendly and helpful. If we ever get the chance to visit this paradise again, we’d definitely stay at Oa Oa again, no doubt!
Nothing, everything was A+++

The people
Bed not comfortable at all, noise if the road, state of the room (a lot repairs to be done), restaurant was closed.

The owners and staff at Oa Oa Lodge are friendly and helpful. We spoke with the cleaning ladies every morning. One taught me a little Tahitian every day. The best part of the property is the location. We had an overwater bungalow, and I spent a lot of time perched on the balcony just taking in the view. Every day I also spotted plenty of wildlife from the balcony. I saw turtles, sharks, rays, and a variety of fish. The last day we were there, a mother whale and her calf swam by. If you are on a budget, there are two large supermarkets within walking distance. We visited them daily for lunch and dinner.
We booked two bungalows. The one with the kitchen was fine but the kitchen was lacking in basic utensils. We had to buy a few utensils in order to cook every night. The beds are a little on the hard side, but the pillows are the best we had during our monthlong trip.

Great value for money compared to other overwater bungalows in Bora Bora.
Stunning views exactly as depicted in the pictures.
Complimentary pick-up service at the port, making arrival smooth and convenient.
The opportunity to swim and snorkel in front of the bungalow.
Overall, this accommodation provides an excellent compromise, offering beautiful views and value for your money. It's a great option if you're looking to experience the charm of Bora Bora without breaking the bank.
The water in front of the bungalow is immediately very deep, requiring caution for swimming.
Limited marine life for snorkeling compared to other spots in Bora Bora.

The grounds and the pool and the dock and the hosts were very nice and accommodating
The rooms could use some updating and no air conditioning

We loved the overwater bungalow and the superb view from the balcony. The hosts met us at the Vaitape wharf and transferred us to the Lodge, explaining shopping hours and other details along the way. Breakfast on our first morning was basic, and we enjoyed using the pool. The hosts were also most helpful in arranging pre-booked tour pickups and a transfer to the Bora Bora Yacht Club restaurant. The transfer back to the wharf at the end of our stay was also handled in a timely and efficient manner.
We were quite disappointed with our bungalow's lack of maintenance and how tired the place looked. Half the light globes were missing or not working, the airconditioning unit seemed not to be connected, although the ceiling fan was quite adequate. Several of the cupboards were ill-fitting or missing hinges, the lighting in the bathroom was most inadequate and no basic toiletries were provided. The sliding door leading onto the balcony was very difficult to open and the bed, while large, was far harder than we are used to. Provision of a bar fridge however was appreciated. While the above comments may appear to be critical of the Lodge, we do realise that this standard of accommodation is not to be compared with that of a $3,000-4,000 per night resort.

The Pool.
It is not realistic to think that if there is a really nice and clean pool inside this lodge and you are also in Bora Bora, the "pearl of French Polynesia", the rest of the details don't matter! It matters a lot!
It's amazing the response received from the administration of a lodge claiming to be "de luxe" regarding lack of banal hair shampoos in the bathroom: "Sir, we don't have shampoos because we're not a hotel, we're just a lodge!" [sic!]
The placement of some objects was simply chaotic! In the bathroom, the towel racks were placed on the same wall as the shower, without being separated from it in any way. The light above the sink in the kitchen fell straight on the cupboard with dishes, being therefore unusable, instead if you weren't careful you risked hitting your head against the same monstrous cupboard!
Finally, and this is important to say, Oa Oa Lodge does NOT have access to its own beach, it is located right next to a busy and polluted road, and the nearest restaurants are not very close. The best is Restaurant Saint James, but unfortunately, it is an expensive and exclusive dream. Bora Bora is a victim of its own bad advertising. Good thing I saw other places in Polynesia: wonderful and calm.

Because I was able to stay on the overwater bungalow, I appreciated the room view.
Access to food and activities is poor. The restaurant is closed, the breakfast seemed overpriced for what was available, it is a 15 minute walk to anywhere, which means the town. Reception closed at 5, so arranging a ride to dinner wasn’t possible unless you called yourself. Luckily the supermarket is well stocked- it is necessary to use the mini fridge and tea kettle to meals… plan to buy Nescafé, deli meats, water/beer and then go to town for baguettes. The AC didn’t work

This is a great little property located close to the boat terminal and town. I stayed on a garden bungalow and the room was really big and the bed was as well. (Comfy, too!) there was a stove and small refrigerator so I was able to buy things from the supermarket (about a 10 minute walk away) to save some money. There was a porch on the front of the bungalow , and my ladder into the water was about ten steps away. The snorkeling is superb- so many fish and rays! The place is not fancy, but it’s the perfect place to bas yourself to explore the island. The staff is top notch. I would definitely stay here again if back in Bora Bora.
There weren’t many places to hang wet bathing clothes- a retractable clothes line in the bathroom would be really handy. The floors were rather slippery when wet.

Perfect location. A friend and I had adjacent over water bungalows and we made good use of the balconies every evening. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Oa Oa Lodge. The staff and family were exceptionally friendly and helped us organize a day trip on the water. The Lodge is within easy walking distance of the main town where there are grocery stores, restaurants, car/moped rentals, shops, etc. We also enjoyed being able to jump into the sea every afternoon. Breakfast included a wonderful abundance of fresh fruit and breads. And I was shocked that we didn’t have any mosquitoes over the water so I was able to sleep with my door open to the sea every evening.
The property is a bit dated and I’m not sure when the fan in my OWB was last cleaned. There isn’t any air conditioning, but it wasn’t overly hot, especially at night.

Amazing lady at the reception. Nice pool, nice hut. Transfers from the town included in the rate.
A bit squeezed place 1km north from Vaitape.
