About this house rental
Our unique, cozy holiday apartment is located on the sun-drenched west side of La Palma, in front of the Pueblo Tijarafe in El Jesus at around 460 meters above sea level. The landlord's house is also on the property. The cave has a separate entrance, approx. 50 m from the main house and is not visible from the main house. The apartment is a comfortably furnished, former lava tube that is typical of La Palma. The size of the accommodation is 60 square meters and consists of a bedroom with a double bed 190m x 200m and very comfortable mattresses that invite you to sleep in and dream. The living area is divided into a seating area with sofa and television and the kitchen-dining area with ceramic hob, refrigerator, toaster, mini oven, Nespresso machine. The bathroom with shower is between the bedroom and the living area. The water is heated by a solar tank and can also be heated electrically in cooler weather. The water is spring water. Towels, bed linen and beach towels are provided. Our holiday guests can of course use the entire property and choose the most diverse places to stay.
In front of the cave there is a beautiful sheltered terrace where you can end the day comfortably or enjoy breakfast in the sun in the morning.
Due to the special location and the lava stone, the temperature in the apartment is almost constant. It is nice and cool at 22 degrees Celsius in summer and pleasantly warm in winter. If it is still too fresh for you, there is a radiator to warm up the living area.
Your holiday accommodation is located on a 20,000 square meter plot of land that borders a baranco that has been protected. This zone has a particularly mild climate with lots of sun and little rainfall. Those looking for peace and want to relax can enjoy the spectacular sunsets and the steel-blue sky. Despite the quiet location, you can be in the village in a few minutes, where you will find supermarkets, organic shops, restaurants, pharmacies, doctors and much more.
There are also many excursion destinations nearby, which you can easily reach by car or on foot. B. the pirate bay, various beaches that have to be conquered by narrow paths on the cliffs; Cave dwellings of the indigenous people, natural fantastic barancos, many pine forests with wildly romantic valleys, natural swimming pools or a visit to the beach. Moderne Wohnhöhle in ruhiger Lage bei liebenswerten Gastgebern

A wonderful, peaceful place to spend your holidays
We enjoyed our stay very much. It's a wonderful place to relax and forget the hassle and bustle of the city. We couldn't believe how quite it is. The cave is very cosy and comfortable and has everything you need. We felt very much at home. Grit, our host was very helpful and easy going.
It's a great base for trips and hikes, but you definitely need a car. The steep road down to the property is a bit of an adventure, but you get used to it.

Fantastisch
Sehr gemütlich, liebevoll eingerichtet und es ist einfach spannend, in einer Höhlenwohnung wohnen zu können! Dazu die relaxte Terrasse mit bequemen Liegestühlen, mehreren Plätzchen zum Sitzen, abends der Sonne zuschauen, wie sie im Atlantik versinkt, Sterne gucken und den Palmen beim Rascheln zuhören. Wir haben es hier sehr genossen, tausend Dank für die superliebe Betreuung!

Dank der tollen Lage hat man sozusagen "Schönwetter Garantie" und kann sich auf der Terrasse windgeschützt sonnen!
sollte es mal zum Wandern in den Bergen zu wolkig sein, die schönsten Strände sind schnell mit dem Auto zu erreichen...

Ein bisschen hobbitmäßig...
Lage
Die Wohnung liegt weder zu Einkaufsmöglichkeiten noch zu Restaurants fußläufig, ist dafür sehr ruhig gelegen und bietet einen tollen Blick auf den Atlantik bis nach El Hierro. Und, im Oktober durchaus wichtig: Sie liegt im Nordwesten der Insel und damit auf der Schönwetter- und Sonnenseite.
Ausstattung
Wohnung und Außenbereich sind extrem liebe- und geschmackvoll eingerichtet! Es fehlt fast an Nichts, wir haben lediglich gelegentlich eine Spülmaschine vermisst.

Die Vermieter wohnen nebenan - und waren extrem freundlich, unkompliziert, einfach zum Wohlfühlen.

Wundervoll
Die Unterkunft und die Umgebung sind etwas Besonderes. In der Höhlenwohnung fühlten wir und gleich sehr heimisch und genossen unsere Urlaubszeit. Die Terrasse vor der Unterkunft ist windgeschützt, zum Sterne schauen am Abend und für ein Frühstück in der Sonne ideal. Wir hatten eine wundervolle Zeit und werden sicher wiederkommen.

Die FeWo sieht im Original noch besser als auf den Bildern aus und für uns war das absolute Highlight die Terrasse vor der Wohnung. Oftmals herrscht absolute Ruhe und einen Sternenhimmel wie auf La Palma sucht man oft auch in den Alpen vergeblich. Grit und Steffen sind sehr nette und zuvorkommende Gastgeber. Grit hat sogar für uns eingekauft, da wir Sonntags ankamen und alle Geschäfte bereits geschlossen hatten. Wir würden immer wieder hier herkommen.

Tolle Höllenwohnung mit den besten Vermietern die man sich nur wünschen kann!
Wer La Palma kennt, weiß das die Anreise egal wohin auf der Insel erst mal wegen den vielen Kurven „anders“ ist. Die Zufahrt zur Ferienhölle war ungewohnt aber sehr schön. Angekommen wurden wir herzlich Begrüßt. Die Ferienhölle ist genau so wie sie beschrieben ist. Und noch mehr. Wir habe noch nie so ein Feriendomizil vorgefunden bei der an alles gedacht wurde. Von ausreichend Handtücher bis zum Sonnenschirm to go, alles da. Der Aussenbereich super gemütlich mit Liegen und Chillmöglichkeiten. In der Höllenwohnung vom Cerankochfeld bis hin zur Mikrowelle und noch vieles mehr. Fernseher mit allen deutschen Sendern und Internet hervorragend. Genügend Platz für ein erholsamen Urlaub. Brötchenservice am Morgen Klasse. So kann der Tag beginnen. Auf dem Gelände Hunde, Katzen, Ziegen, Eidechsen 🦎 und Hühner. Alle Tiere total lieb. Die Vermieter Grit, Steffen und ihre Kinder liebe und nette Leute. Wir haben den Aufenthalt bei Euch, auch wegen Euch sehr genossen. Resümee: Wer mal eine besondere Ferienwohnung beziehen möchte und auf den Komfort nicht verzichten will, ist hier richtig. Danke, Familie Heidrich.

Erholsame Ferien
Die Erfahrung in einer so luxeriösen Lavahöhle zu wohnen ist einzigartig.
Das Klima darin ist besonders angenehm da es immer warm ist , im Sommer wie im Winter.
Die Unterkunft ist mit allem ausgestattet was man benötigt. Es gibt einen Vorrat an Öl, Essig, Gewürzen und Kaffee. Das Internet funktioniert ohne Problem.
In der Morgensonne zu frühstücken und am Abend auf der gemütlichen Terrasse ein Glas Wein zu trinken.... hervorragend.
Wir hatten einen super erholsamen, sonnen reichen und sehr abwechslungsreichen Urlaub.

Für uns war der Aufenthalt in der perfekt ausgestatteten Ferienhöhle - von Reiseführern bis Wärmflasche- der richtige Ort fürs relaxen und wandern. Tijarafe ist ein guter Ort, um den Nordwesten von La Palma zu erkunden.Die Vermieter Grit und Steffen können gute Empfehlungen für Ausflüge geben. Durch den täglichen Brötchenservice kommt noch ein Verwöhnfaktor dazu.

Fantastische Urlaubsbasis und zauberhafte Sonnenuntergänge
Dieses Domizil muss man gesehen oder besser bewohnt haben. Die Höhlenwohnung mit abgesetztem Schlafzimmer, sauberem Bad und Küche/Wohnzimmer ist wirklich einzigartig: hell, sehr stilvoll und durchdacht eingerichtet, sauber und unglaublich ruhig. Die Dauerbelüftung (mit Fliegengitter versehen) sorgt für ein angenehmes Klima, gekocht ist schnell, die Kaffeemaschine blubbert und das Essen wird draußen auf der windgeschützten Terrasse im Schatten einer Palme und im Beisein von 5 Hauseidechsen eingenommen - Tipp: Den morgendlichen Brötchenservice nutzen!
Für einen kleinen Verdauungsspaziergang ist ein geschotterter und eben verlaufender Weg nicht weit, der Ausblick dabei traumhaft. Wachhund Locki schaut gerne mal vorbei und hat nichts gegen eine kleine Knuddelrunde. Auf dem Anwesen blüht es hier und da sehr üppig, Bienen brummeln im Rosmarinstrauch und einige Vögel zwitschern schon am Morgen. Eine Garten-Ebene weiter oben kann man ebenfalls sitzen, liegen, lesen, vespern und immer wieder auf das Meer schauen, herrliche Sonnenuntergänge inklusive. Mit dem Auto ist man schnell bei El Time mit Blick auf Los Llanos oder in Richtung Norden bei Punta Gorda. Außerdem sind die Gastgeber Grit und Steffen unglaublich nett und hilfsbereit. Logisch: Hierher komme ich wieder.

Traumhafte Natur
Wir haben zwei traumhafte Wochen in der «Cueva Bonita» verbracht und das einmalige Ambiente sehr genossen. Nach Tagestouren in den Norden oder Süden haben wir uns immer riesig darauf gefreut, uns wieder in "unsere Höhle" zurückzuziehen. Der windgeschützte Vorplatz macht es möglich, dass man die halbe Nacht draussen verbringen und in den herrlichen Sternenhimmel hinaufschauen kann. Grit und Steffen sind herzliche, offene und äusserst unkomplizierte Gastgeber, so dass wir uns einfach rundum wohlgefühlt haben. Nochmals vielen lieben Dank euch beiden für alles!

Windgeschütztes, gepflegtes Nest auf der Sonnenseite mit herzlich umsorgenden Gastgebern
Die gemütlich geborgene Atmosphäre entspricht den Fotos und wird noch getoppt. Die Höhle wirkt nicht zu dunkel: Küchenzeile und Bad haben großzügige Fensterflächen zur sonnigen Terrasse. Bei der Ausstattung wurde an alles gedacht, vom Fön bis zur Espressomaschine. Liebevoll eingerichtet, sehr gut gepflegt und sehr sauber, wie es besser nicht sein könnte mitten in der Natur. Genauso umsorgend waren Grit und Steffen in Bezug auf uns als Ihre Gäste: sie organisierten den Brötchenservice und es fiel schon mal ein Ei von den hauseigenen Hühnern für uns ab. Viel interessantes Insiderwissen und wertvolle Tipps zu Insel gab es frei Haus. Die lauschige Terrasse bot uns tagsüber viele Sonnenstunden und blieb auch abends windgeschützt um La Palma-Wein zu genießen. Alles hervorragend und sehr erholsam!
Das Meckern überlassen wir Steffens Ziegen, doch selbst die haben sich kaum die Mäuler zerrissen und sich statt dessen lieber kraulen lassen. Wir vermissen unsere gehörnten Freunde, die Gelassenheit unserer lieben Gastgeber und LaPalma von seiner friedlichsten Seite.
