Great location at the top of the cliff (there’s a lift if you don’t fancy the stairs), with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. I had a room with a balcony with stunning views of Düne, passing ships and the wind farm in the distance.
The room was shabby and in dire need of modernising, with mismatched old furniture and a musty aroma. I appreciate that it was peak season, but for €130 a night I expected more.
The bedside table was bizarrely affixed to the back of the bed where I couldn’t reach it, the shower head stubbornly refused to point anywhere except at the wall.
The shared reception system can mean a long wait to check in or out and the staff don’t seem in much of a hurry.
They don’t accept Mastercard (unlike just about every hotel I’ve ever stayed in) meaning I had to go to the bank and draw out €400 in cash using three different cards (due to cash withdrawal limits), which was an inconvenience.

We stayed at this hotel to celebrate our daughters birthday. The hostess was amazing she arranged a beautiful cake to be on the breakfast table on birthday morning, there was rose petals scattered on the table and she served champagne. Couldn't do enough for us. A wonderful wonderful hostess and hotel, would highly recommend Haus Rooad Weeter
Nothing, everything PERFECT

Location good, garden and views lovely and breakfast good.
Over priced as very basic. Poor communication on obtaining key card entry, only on the bottom of 1 email about access and no-one on site. My ferry for 1st night was cancelled last min, I sent an email explaining and received no acknowledgement.

The hotel is superbly located at the top of the cliff with a view over the North Sea and the "Düne" beach island in the east.
It has its own little garden with a lawn (out on the top of the cliff with a great view), where we could sit and have our breakfast :-)
I also liked the architecture of the hotel: Built in the 1960's, it spreads the charme of those days.
There is no reception desk at the hotel itself any longer, but the contact with the central reception (which is downtown) works perfectly.
Excellent baggage transport directly from the ship, too (at the moment, I guess, due to Covid-19-restrictions).
Not all rooms have the great view to the seaside (our's hadn't) ... but then again, it's only a few steps outside to the garden and the rest of the island!

This is a nice family-owned place, simple and clean. The location is excellent, with fantastic view from the breakfast room. The hosts were super-friendly. I'd like to stay there again.
The room is quite basic, without a fridge, without any additional pillows or blankets, etc. But I only stayed for 1 night, so this didn't matter much for me.

Great view from the large window overseeing the Dune across the water. Competent staff and reasonably furnished room with small bathroom that has all you need. Good wide-screen TV and good performance internet via WLAN
Choices for self-service breakfast depend on what was delivered to the island - on one day I had to cope without fruit for my cereal (which was compensated for with an extra-rich fruit salad the day after).
