Basic but nice unit & close to water, bring own linen is a hassle but seems to be fairly common now

The house was a great location within easy access to everything. There is a beautiful view and great bird song. The peace and quiet was wonderful.
Only negative was no blind on bathroom window or large window just outside the bathroom.

It was a well heated and a very comfortable place to stay in the winter. Beautiful scenery with lots of nature around. Would recommend for a relaxing weekend away.

A lovely location in a traditional unmodernised bach with great views across the harbour. Great walk along the waterfront and through the nearby gardens.

Lovely bush location and nice walk into "town". House in need of TLC though, one of the sliding doors on to deck is on its last legs which meant we couldn't use it. A spring clean throughout house would make a difference. Light bulb missing in already very dark hallway and old food left in fridge by previous tenants which we thought could have been removed before we arrived?!

Older home in need of TLC but have stayed many times because of all the good it offers.

Lovely wee house up in the trees overlooking the bay and a short walk into town. We really enjoyed our stay in the bach everything was awesome apart from the beds. May as well been sleeping on rocks, wouldn’t recommend for someone with a bad back.
But overall a great trip and likely would go again!

We wanted a quick weekend getaway and this spot was perfect.
Nestled in the bush up high with a great view of the harbour. I highly recommend having your morning coffee on the deck.
A short stroll to town but far away enough. It was so nice waking up to the birds each morning.
My 4 year old is requesting a trip back soon.

Very cosy with great sea views. The shower was good, beds were comfortable and the bach had a nice feel about it. Both paths up to the bach were a little challenging but we enjoyed our stay.
Would come back again, thanks.

Quaint Quiet Stay very relaxing with everything you required beautiful views & beautiful native bird song - ranch slider doors a little tricky to lock & unlock & if you like a bit of quiet background music take a portable Bluetooth speaker.
Loved our sister get together stay thank you for sharing your place.

Terrible bach condition
We payed $ 420 for 2 nights. No worthy and I would not recommend this property to future families. The bach is in very bad condition, floors damaged, not heatpump, bbq run down, very dusty and smelly. Very dissapointed!

Great wee getaway spot
Perfect for a long weekend getaway. Great views of the harbour and only a short walk into Akaroa township. Such a cute wee kiwi Bach.

Birdsong views
A very special hideaway tucked into the trees with incredible bay views. Wake in the morning to birdsong. Short wander into town. The house has the quirks of an old Bach as much is well loved and a few cobwebs but the important areas were clean (bathroom, fridge). Comfortable reasonably firm bed, good strong shower pressure. The following would be handy for future stays; instructions for oven use (it’s not obvious unless you know ovens pre70s), kitchen tongs, salad servers, bowls, oven gloves, cutlery needs an upgrade. The lid to the kettle is broken and falls off when using so a bit of a hazard. The bbq doesn’t work. Would stay again though as loved the character just needs some tlc.

Bliss.
Views were awesome and time out with peace and quiet what was we needed.
Really enjoyed our stay, and would thoroughly recommend to others.
Only issues were the BBQ only has one of 6 burners that worked and the oven didn't work except for the elements.
Other than those small issues.. perfect!
