We had the most incredible time here and were warmly welcomed throughout our stay. The staff were exceptional. The coffee tour was great and we loved the early morning bird tour with Ulysses - highly recommened.

The coffee tour and coffee was really good and interesting for coffee lovers .
The bathroom could have been a bit cleaner . Floor horribly sticky

The location and service were amazing. The staff is very aware and genuine. They go above and beyond to ensure a nice stay. The views, the gardens and the service were fantastic.
The mold and mildew smell that permeates the resort. It has a lasting effect long after departure. This may or may not be part of the area and some people may like it, but we have not reached the point of appreciation.

The whole hotel complex is beautiful. The food was amazing and the accommodation was so unique. Walking into the rooms was breathtaking.
I literally have to be picky. Some cushions on the sun loungers by the pool would be nice.

Stunning property, gorgeous rooms, excellent restaurant and great staff. but you pay for all this wonderfulness!
nothing it’s pretty much perfect

it wasn’t an American chain hotel. The waitress was a breath of fresh air amongst her mediocre colleagues
The exceptionally unpleasant receptionist. The quality of breakfast. The unyielding mattress.

The room was absolutely gorgeous, the view amazing. The gardens were lovely and the restaurant was pretty spectacular. I can’t say enough about the friendly and accommodating staff, all of the staff! We went on a coffee tour which I would highly recommend, it has changed our coffee habits. It is a little more pricey than we normally go for but once I saw this place it rather intrigued me and I splurged. I was not at all disappointed so if you are worried about the cost it is well worth it!

This property was exceptional, the restaurant was amazing and catered really well for me as a vegetarian, the breakfast was superb. The Dinner menu was very good. we chose to do the coffee tour in the morning and it was fantastic, the guide was incredibly knowledgeable about the subject and we are laughing with our family that we are now experts. I would definitely recommend. The pool was beautiful and we managed an afternoon of relaxing before we head off on our tour. I would absolutely recommend a couple of nights after a long flight to set you up for a trip.
I cannot think of anything that we didn’t like.

We did not like anything.
We had to change our plans after i booked. They refused to refund anything despite is announcing in advance and explaining our situation. I paid for nothing, we did not visit them.

A totally stunning place to stay - very special indeed. we were only there for a short period, we arrived at lunchtime just before the coffee tour and the restaurant managed to feed us in record time, which was really impressive (and great food too!). I would fully recommend the coffee tour, a really interesting couple of hours and we all learnt a lot. we spent the afternoon enjoying the pool and hot tub, and had another lovely meal. Rooms were incredible!
The manager was very helpful and accommodating, and they provided us with breakfast boxes without us needing to ask, as we had an early start the next day.
hard to fault although we weren’t there very long. Pool wasn’t very clean, but hot tub was fantastic and the views were super.

Nice sized room, good views, peaceful
Very overpriced - double the cost of much better hotels we stayed in in Costa Rica

Great location not too far from San Jose but far enough away that you don’t feel like you’re in the city. Really lovely staff and very beautifully designed rooms and gardens.
Wish we could have gone on the coffee tour but it was already fully booked! :( Also poor soundproofing as could hear everything through the door to the adjoining room.

love the scenery - beautiful land full of an abundance of plants . the design is truly unique . very artistic . nice bathtub . we enjoyed our stay
parking is off premises which can be a bit uncomfortable esp. if you come with a lot of luggage and children and wish for quick access to the car.

This is a really special place I wish I had time to explore.
The views from the balcony across a tropical canopy to the city of San Jose and the mountains beyond were breath taking.
The breakfast setting and food were stunning.
We arrived quite late and the bar was closed. would have been nice to have a beer but, like I said, it was late.

a really beautiful hotel in a great setting not far from San Jose

The main property is the former home of the hotel owner. It had a boutique hotel vibe, upscale quality yet cozy and comfortable.
The restaurant was excellent. Would suggest adding a few dinner items that are more basic, less gourmet, for those who appreciate simple dishes.

Only stayed one night but the location was a perfect distance from San Jose. Whole layout of the property is set up very nicely and makes everything feel very friendly. Grounds are beautiful well kept and is easy to relax/ enjoy your stay.
I realize I’m staying in a jungle and I have a certain expectations for what I was in for(bugs). But including the dead bugs in the room, we came across a lot more once it got dark. Must have killed 10 spiders and 20 or so ants before going to sleep.

Coffee tour was good and the guide was knowledgeable, However you need to pay for the tour separately
Coffee!
Check in
Restaurant
Some staff
No information upon arrival and the person behind the desk was unhelpful and not so pleasant to talk too!
We wanted to do some laundry but they made it so complicated that we didn't do it!
Food in restaurant was just OK, nothing special
Room was full of mosquito and bugs
But worst of all was the coffee, If you just walk in without reading the name of the place you think it is just another guest house, no coffee aroma not even nice decoration with coffee or any sign that suggest you are in coffee farm! Then when we finally have had a cup of coffee in restaurant It was less than ordinary! I don't know if the quality of the coffee was bad or people in restaurant simply didn't know anything about coffee. also the coffee in the jar inside the room was old and lost its aroma.
The price you pay for this hotel is 3 times more than what it should be...if they include the coffee tour to the room price maybe it is ok.
