"Thank you so much for the personal touches such as message board, Happy Birthday signs and fresh flowers, not to mention the wine and chocolates. This place is absolutely perfect with everything you could need. It is such a homely place and we love the colour scheme.
The gardens are beautiful and you couldn’t be in a better location with the beautiful Ovens River and not too far for guests to walk into town. Mum and Dad had a wonderful holiday seeing the sights but I think they enjoyed the house so much more.
We have stayed in lots of places in Bright and honestly this is the nicest place we have stayed in. We will be back..Thanks again.

Very neat and well maintained property. Excellent hosts. We had kids and needed microwave to warm up milk for them. When it was not working and we informed them, they replaced quickly. Very convenient to visit the shops or stroll along the river.

Came up to Bright to hike Mt Featherop, this place was perfect accomodation. Very close to all of the shops and pubs in Bright and backs on to the river and walking path.
Very clean and organised house, had everything we needed and good heating for colder months.

We had a lovely time in Bright with great weather and beautiful autumn leaves. Property was lovely and great position beside the Ovens river surrounded by autumn trees and walking distance into Bright town centre. Rod and Paula were very helpful with local information and very responsive to any questions. Look forward to coming back

We stayed at Roses on the River for 4 days R&R after the usual Christmas frenzy. The house was perfectly located: backing on to the river, 5 mins walk from central Bright including supermarket, but also very quiet and peaceful. There were 5 adults, and the house had everything we needed. We had a a lovely few days filled with walks along the river, excellent dining in local restaurants and pubs, and a couple of half-day trips to interesting local tourist spots.

Thank you Rod & Paula! We had the best weekend escape in Bright and surrounds, thanks to having a lovely cozy base to stay in. Easy walk into the town center and woke up in the mornings to the sounds of the river. Great comfy couch and well setup lounge area for relaxing. Amazing kitchen/laundry/bathrooms and of course the garden is gorgeous! We hope to stay here again for future adventures in the area.

We are a young family and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Roses on the River. Location was awesome for accessing everything including the river, park, splash park, canyon walk and shops. We had everything we needed. The kitchen was well equiped and we had more than enough space. Easily one of the cleanest places I have stayed. The owners were lovely and easy to deal with. We hope to be back again one day!

Great location in a great town
We enjoyed our stay. Bright is a lovely town. We particularly enjoyed the number of cycling options. The cottage itself backs on to the river, making it a short and pleasant walk into town. If you’re staying in winter, note there is no fire, but there is an air conditioner which does a reasonable job of warming the living area and the bedrooms have good electric blankets.

We had a wonderful stay. The place was clean, the people super friendly and it was close to town. The only thing is , that people want Wi-Fi these days.

Quick get away
Lovely little cottage. The gardens are beautiful. So nice to sit under the pergola. One of our party was elderly and mobility impaired. The cottage was perfect for him to get around with his walking stick. It was also easy to push the wheelchair into town. Highly recommend. Great set up for families with young children too.

Bliss by the river in Bright
The location and setup of Roses on the River was perfect for our short family break - walking distance to everything, great facilities and cosy ambience. Rod met us when we arrived and walked us though all the main property features. We really appreciated the personal touch and all the effort that went into making us feel so welcome. The break was relaxing from start to finish. I highly recommend the Halls as hosts and their beautiful cottage.

Great Weekend, great accomadation, great Host
communication was great, we were greeted on arrival, and the accommodation was charming and welcoming. There was a bottle on arrival, chocolates on on pillows, it felt special. The location of the property was central, we did not use our car during our stay, as it is walking distance to the center of bright. Would stay again. Highly recommend this place.

Pleasant stay
Great place to stay. All you need. Close to all things including walks. Friendly and very informative owner Let down only a little by grout in master bathroom and by over grown plants that scratched the car into the garage.

Fantastic stay
Perfect location within walking distance of Bright township. The place has everything you need to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Rod came down just after arrival and went over a few of the mod cons in the house, as well as walk through the kitchen setup. The welcome bottle of wine was a bonus :). Extremely quiet and as I said well equipped. Certainly one to rebook for my next trip down

This is the second time we stayed as Roses. It would have been the third except last year we missed out. We love this place, it has so much charm you can't help but fall in love with the place. Rod and Paula made us feel so welcome, their hospitality is amazing. The home has everything you could ever need for a perfect stay in Bright. The back yard is the real gem in this place, the beautiful garden extends all the way down to the Ovens river and Canyon walk. It was so nice to wander along the Canyon walk in the evening. Bright is such a beautiful place and the Roses fits right in with the atmosphere. We really enjoyed the fresh spring water that Rod provides in the home. Having pure fresh spring water to drink every day was a real treat. We really look forward to returning to Bright in the future but only if we can stay at the Roses! Thanks again Rod and Paula :-)

Older single house on it's own block. Well equipped accomodation. Beautifully quiet being on the other side of the river from the town centre, but literally a five to ten minute walk along the river to get there.

We will be back!
We arrived at Roses on the River on a chilly winter’s afternoon - it was the perfect cozy destination. Rod and Paula have thought of everything, the house has anything you could possibly need during your stay. Our daughters (6&8 yo) loved their bedroom and the board game/ video cupboard. All the beds are very comfortable, the kitchen fully equipped and every room spotlessly clean. The location is fantastic - the quiet side of the river and only a few minutes walk into town. Roses was a wonderful base for long walks/day trips and relaxing afternoons/evenings. We can’t wait to return for our next visit to Bright and stay at Roses on the River. Thank you!

Home away from home
We stayed for three nights at Roses on the River in Bright. Everything about the experience was made easy, from booking to check in, and the little added extra touches made our stay extra special. As well as the personal welcome, the champagne and chocolates, biscuits and generously stocked kitchen, this place had thought of everything. Electric blankets on the beds, things like a thermos and picnic hamper, even a spare pusher for guests that needed it. Our two small kids loved their cosy room complete with cotton ball night lights to keep them feeling secure at night. All the beds were comfy and warm, the towels fluffy and the homely touches didn't go unnoticed. Thanks so much, Rod and Paula!

The property is well kept and Rod is very accommodating.
For night arrivals the driveway is hard to find - needs a fluorescent # 22 at end of driveway.
