About this apartment rental
Located in the historic art deco S&W Building in downtown Asheville, this one of a kind artistic 1,000 sq ft one bedroom one bath condo offers modern luxuries in a premier downtown location. Dedicated local owners are also the managers of this property, providing personalized touches and service to ensure your stay in Asheville is top notch. Exposed brick walls, high ceilings, and large windows invite plenty of natural sunlight into the living room. You will be delighted with the gourmet kitchen, fully equipped with modern stainless appliances. The kitchen opens directly into the living area (which includes a super comfy queen sleeper sofa featuring a memory foam mattress); enjoy your meals at the kitchen bar or at the large metal dining table (seats 4) made by the owner. The bedroom offers a king bed with quality linens, an extra-large closet with organizers and a wall-mounted flat screen TV. The connected bath features a walk-in shower (dual shower head) and granite double sinks. This condo is immaculately furnished with local art, high end furniture and eclectic accents.
The first floor of our building features the S & W Market which showcases the best of Asheville’s local independent restaurants and beer. Highland Brewing taproom anchors the two-story space with first floor and mezzanine-level bars. Other eateries at the S&W Market include Bun Intended (Thai street food), Buxton Chicken Palace (award winning fried chicken sandwich), Farm Dogs (handcrafted sausages and hot dogs, and locally-made pretzels), Mikasa Criolla (fusion of Peru cuisine), the Hop (locally made ice cream), and The Times Bar (a craft coffee and cocktail bar that sits adjacent to the food hall). The reimagined food hall fulfills the market’s original mission by offering affordable, fresh fare, and the energy that made it an exciting destination so many years ago.
Loft #306 is located on the third floor of the S & W Building (56 Patton Ave) and provides a secure, keyless, coded exterior entrance and elevator to make your move-in safe and easy. You can go for days without using your car which can be safely and affordably parked in the city-operated Coxe Avenue Garage directly behind the building on Sears Alley.

Perfect location and every detail much appreciated!

Loved everything about this apartment — the view, the room layout, well-appointed kitchen, quiet bedroom with comfy bed and linens, good towels and shower supplies, the thoughtfulness of hosts, and, of course, that amazing location. We walked to so many great restaurants and coffee houses, galleries and shops, and nearby attractions. Would especially recommend this for someone traveling alone—it’s above a secure building—or a couple.

Celebrated my 49th birthday Labor Day weekend. The apartment was perfectly located. Walked 5 minutes to all the best dining and shopping. Food court downstairs was a plus for early morning coffee! Sweet small touches. Highly recommend!

The Condo is absolutely perfect. Location is the best I can imagine, right in the heart of Ashville. Clean, well decorated, and cozy. I would highly recommend to anyone.

It was just too short. Only there for two nights but wished it had been more.
Condo was just as advertised. Had everything we needed and more. Probably could have just moved in permanently and been perfectly happy.
Location was ideal for us. Had all our meals within walking distance and lots of shopping nearby if that’s what you want.
A lot of codes to get to your condo. Outside door, elevator and condo door. My first thought was that this is too much for an old lady like me to remember but then I realized that I don’t think I’d felt so safe in a long time.
Communicated with Karen several times before arrival and she was very prompt and helpful.
Highly recommend this property.

When I travel to Asheville again, and I will, this is THE place I'll try to stay. The location couldn't be any better if they designed the city around it. The owners communicate very well. The place is super nice. No complaints in any department.

This condo was great! It is exactly as pictured. We had 3 adults on our stay with one sleeping on sofa bed. The hosts have included a mattress topper to increase the comfort level on the sofa bed. This unit is on the back side of the building so we had no issues with noise from outdoors.
Karen was a fantastic host, providing plenty of details regarding check in, parking, and more.
The building is situated near tons of shopping and local restaurants. The South Slope Brew district is just a few blocks away as well.

The condo is lovely, nicely furnished, and the location is excellent. The instructions for check-in were very clear and easy to follow. It was perfect for us. The condo was a perfect home base for an absolutely wonderful weekend in downtown Asheville.

We loved Asheville.
The drive in was stunning. Parking and unloading luggage was not convenient. That being said, a car want necessary unless your going outside of town (say to the Biltmore estate). The apartment was fantastic. It felt like home. The neighborhood was quiet and within walking distance of shops, bars, restaurants, street performers and outdoor sculptures. What a funky place! Karen was super helpful. We would definitely visit again

This was a wonderful place to stay. The owner provided all the info and recommendations i needed for a smooth check in. The location is perfect in the heart of downtown and inside a beautiful historical art deco building. The bed was the most comfortable i have ever slept on. The furnishings were georgeous and the art pieces throughout the whole place really captured the spirit of the Asheville art community.

Great visit to Asheville with my daughter. The condo location is perfect. We walked to the venue to see a concert which was so nice. Enjoyed the shops and great restaurants, coffee and bakeries all just steps away. The host goes out of her way to make your stay enjoyable. We certainly enjoyed the extra touches including the coffee bar with lots of yummy creamer flavors and the customized welcome sign. 10/10 highly recommend.

Everything was fantastic! The location was perfect and walkable to tons of restaurants and breweries. The condo was spotless, and the furnishings and supplies were top notch. We were a little nervous about if there would be noise from the food hall and brewery downstairs, but once you are in the condo you can't hear any noise from below. I highly recommend this place!

First time trying VRBO and it went great. Condo was exactly as described and worked out great for us. Super location, walking distance to many things (bars, restaurants, art museum and music venues including Rabbit Rabbit).
Check in process was easy. Great detailed instructions with pictures to make it easier to find the back entrance. Nice follow up on day after check-in to ensure no issues and that all was good...unexpected and nice to get that text!
In the end, a good time was had by all and the accommodations were an important part of that. We would absolutely stay here again if we were to go back!

The instructions from Karen were so simple and helpful. The location is incredible - right in the middle of just about everywhere you’d want to get to in downtown Asheville. We parked at the Sears garage and just walked the entire weekend. The unit being above the food hall is awesome! Great people watching if you grab a beer from Highland Taproom and hang out along the banister. The unit itself was beautiful, clean, and stylish. The fresh roses and welcome sign were very thoughtful and much appreciated. We will most certainly be back!

I would recommend this wholeheartedly.

This condo is the best! Artfully decorated, superbly appointed, convenient location, clean. Plenty of storage spots for all our “stuff” in the bedroom and bathroom. The fresh flowers were lovely and much appreciated! It’s worth repeating that this condo is beautiful and, clearly, the hosts have anticipated the guests every need. Also, Karen did a great job providing us all the information we needed for our stay.
