The Magnolia House is considered by many to be the #1 luxury vacation rental in West Tennessee. This lovely, completely remodeled home is located in a quite, historic neighborhood overlooking the peaceful Overton Park. The setting is perfect for weekend get-aways, family reunions, vacations or just to relax and enjoy the wonderful amenities surrounding you, all within walking distance....people travel from all around to enjoy over 50 free concerts a year at the outdoor amphitheater, the Levitt Shell (where Elvis first played!), also the Memphis Zoo (ranked one of the top zoos in the United States) can be viewed from this home, the wonderful Brooks Art Museum (the largest art museum in Tennessee) is also within walking distance. The Park also offers a 9-Hole City Golf Course, entrance to the Shelby Farms Greenline for biking or walking(which is a 6.5 mile biking path and connects midtown to Shelby Farms Park), fantastic new playground and also a pond for watching ducks and fish. Do not forget your picnic basket, frisbee and a kite for a leisurely day outside!

The home is very secure with automatic gated entrance. Very safe neighborhood for walking and strolling to the Zoo, the Levitt Shell Amphitheater or the Brooks Art Museum. High speed internet is offered as well.

The newly renovated Overton Square is a few blocks away with some of the best restaurants in the City! German, Japanese, Mexican, Cajun, Italian food can all be found in this great area! We would love to recommend some of our favorites! Also, a great place to find nightlife...many bars with restaurants open late and even Lafayette's Music Room and The Zebra Lounge with a piano bar! If you are into theater, Playhouse on The Square, The new Hattiloo Theater and The Circuit Playhouse are located in this area. Also, in close proximity is the Cooper Young area, where there is another wide range of great restaurants. If you are a "foodie" or love visiting breweries, you will LOVE this area as well!

The Home is also very close to downtown where you will find the world famous Beale Street with much nightlife, Sun Studios, the well-known Peabody Hotel with their famous daily, duck parade, the Gibson Guitar Museum, the Fed-Ex Forum where many great concerts are held and the Memphis Grizzlies play, the Redbirds Baseball Stadium, and also the not to be missed newly opened Bass Pro Shop (largest Bass Pro in the United States and located in The Pyramid overlooking the great Mississippi River). One can not leave the City without sampling our world-famous barbecue. The Rendezvous and Central Barbecue are both very close!
The list goes on and on....so much to see and do in The City! This home, however, was remodeled and designed by an interior designer and is a wonderful place just to sit back, relax and enjoy its upscale amenities!

There is no more delightful or perfect place to stay in Memphis, TN. The location is ideal for families and adults. The neighborhood is safe and beautiful. The house is beautifully decorated, immaculately clean and with everything you could ever want. One of my granddaughters asks every year if we can stay in Magnolia Place when we visit Memphis.

We reserved this VRBO for our son’s Rhodes graduation. Great location. The host was extremely helpful and available if needed. Backyard was beautiful and relaxing. I would strongly recommend this VRBO.

This was the beginning of a 2 week family holiday that started in Memphis and boy what a start it was! The house is amazing - everything about it was as described (I’d actually say that the pictures don’t do it justice, it’s even better in real life!) Loads of space, great location, brilliant information from Elizabeth - seriously we couldn’t have asked for more! We are a family of 4 with a 16 year old and 12 year old and even they were impressed which, anyone with teenagers will know, happens rarely!! We’d hired a car so didn’t need to Uber or anything but I’m sure it would have been fine. We spent time in Memphis and went to Graceland and all was an easy drive from the house. If you are looking for a beautiful house in Memphis then book this one - you won’t be sorry!

Decorated beautifully, in a beautiful neighborhood, close enough to all attractions, but I world away when it comes to accommodations. It was like staying in a modern version of Graceland. We stayed in the Magnolia House while in Memphis for our daughter’s college graduation. We wanted a place to visit with family instead of several hotel rooms. This house is gorgeous, with incredible attention to detail & great design while keeping in touch with the architectural style of a mid-century home. We enjoyed taking in time in each of the rooms, but especially the music/camera room! The neighborhood is pristine with a great park literally next door. The backyard is very serene & the magnolia trees in the front & back are quintessential southern home. The owners were super accommodating to our request and were very responsive to our messages. The only thing I’d say about the listing is the home is even more beautiful than the listing- the pictures just don’t do it justice. Thanks! Highly recommend.

My family and I absolutely loved our stay at Magnolia House. The house is charming, cozy and comfortable. We found it difficult to leave to explore the exciting city of Memphis but the location is perfect across from park and zoo. There are also great restaurants close by. We took my mother and dad to Memphis for my mothers 80th birthday. Our son and his girlfriend also came with us for their college fall break. We decided to stay in a house instead of having to get 2 or more hotel rooms and found this VRBO property online. The house and neighborhood were very nice and closely located to all of the things we planned to do. We would highly recommend staying at the Magnolia House if you’re planning a trip to Memphis.

Our friend group stayed here the last weekend in October. The trees were beautiful. The house was immaculate and the perfect location for spending time together and seeing the sights in Memphis. The owners were quick to respond and even left us a delicious lemon cake to enjoy throughout the weekend! Will definitely stay here again!

Elizabeth was the most amazing hostess. From the moment we interacted with Elizabeth she was warm, friendly, and charming. The second we walked in the door we were thrilled! The home is beautifully decorated. Each bedroom was equally adorned and comfortable. The outdoor area is fenced in and feels very private. Perfect place to have a glass of wine and enjoy the fire pit. Elizabeth even left fresh baked pastries that were delicious. Overall our experience was outstanding! This is hands down one of our favorite VRBO getaways.

Lovely Stay at The Magnolia House!

This is a return visit for our family and everything was again wonderful. The location near Overton Park is serene but convenient to the Zoo and other Park facilities like free live music at the Levitt Shell. The decor and attention to detail in this home is simply lovely and captures the spirit of the city, casual yet elegant. All the perks are so appreciated, the beds are super comfy and the house so well appointed for family stays. We hope to return again soon. Truly, there is nothing to improved upon in this vacation home! Great backyard, great den full of games, stocked kitchen and great space for family entertaining. Our family absolutely loved our stay.

Hard to know where to start! Gorgeous home, and the hosts made us feel like invited guests with a home baked cake. So comfortable, my son read aloud every Dad Joke in the box in the TV room, lovely back yard. Ten minutes or less to just about everywhere and Overton Park right there for zoo and free concerts. We are planning to come back for sure!
