Great Hotel in central location

Location was very good. Close to parking facilities (none at the hotel). Close to restaurants and Reading Museum. Staff were very polite and helpful.

Great stay in a great location

Nice people, well decorated but no sleep

Tastefully decorated. Good facilities. Friendly staff.

It was noisy. The room was secondary glazed but the noise from the road outside was enormous. There were rumbles of delivery trucks at about 4.30am followed by road cleaning and recycling of bottles at about 5.30am (lots of restaurants on the square)….then power washing directly below my room at 8.00am. I got 4 1/2 hrs sleep …for £70+

Great location for weekend stay

Good location for our purpose, close to the station and plenty of places to eat. Whilst they don't do breakfast there are lots of options nearby (though less so on a Sunday). The room was large and very nicely decorated. The tea and coffee supplied were of a higher standard than some places we have stayed. Comfy bed, had a very good nights sleep.

This wasn't a problem for us and it's clear that this is a vibrant place but if you do stay on a Saturday night be prepared for music, and plenty of 'partying' noise etc., We didn't mind at all and soon after 11pm it's quiet.

Uncomftable bed not a double but two singles pushed together disappointing

The style

It was two single beds pushed together when it should of been a double ands it made it very uncomfortable not really acceptable if I’d know I would not of booked . Also the lift did not work being disabled that made it difficult the staff said it had not been working for months .

Excellent, helpful staff and lovely room

Young man at the bar was very helpful and explained everything clearly . Room was very nice ,clean and comfortable, Close to the train station

Very nice accom in Town Centre

Room size and noise was decent (was initially concerned bar downstairs would be too loud but barely hear anything and only opened at 12 on a Sunday too so no early noise either). Shower was excellent. Generally decent.

Only thing was I'm a super hot sleeper and Aircon took ages to bring room down to 18 degrees. Would leave it on for at least an hour before bed in future.

Lower than expectation with a price point not so cheap. Not quite satisfied. Will not book again.

Convenient location just around the corner of town centre. Clean towels and bedsheets.

Big mirrors hanged on the walls all around the bed. We had to cover all of them with towels and stuff. Dark blue wall painting made the room very dark. Many mosquitoes and flies. Located above a pub and was noisy when we opened the door or in the corridor. Staircase was old and wall paintings chipped. Elevator had a weird noise when moving so we dare not getting in.

Everything was perfect

Everything. Comfortable big bed, clean, nice design of the room, variety of coffee and teas in the room; comfortable bathroom with modern shower. Very quiet in the room during the night.

Good for one night but glad we didn’t stay longer.

Beautifully decorated. Loved the fact we had a coffee machine in the room. Lovely touch. Shower had great pressure.

The staff at the bar where we checked in were incredibly rude and started off our stay with a bad vibe which was so annoying. There was a kettle base in our room but no kettle. The noise from the streets was SO loud and the building itself made strange noises - maybe the noises pipes or heating or aircon not sure, but didn’t make for a great nights sleep.

A stop before flying out of LHR. Close to all eateries

Roof top bar was closed for a function which was slightly disappointing. Reading was Not the easiest place to find parking but the hotel was lovely

The bathroom shower didn’t have a proper door and I wet the whole floor and stressed out about drying it.

Lovely space spoiled by the bathroom furniture

The bathrooms are increasingly becoming poor and the property is still relatively new. The plugs are missing from the sink. Water leaves the shower and floods the room. The sinks are tiny and awkward to use. The soap holders are broken.

Loved it here! Great value for money and very clean.

I loved the room itself, the amenities and the toiletries were so so nice! The whole process was seamless and the room was clean

I would have liked a window that opened. At times the area around the hotel felt a little unsafe but that’s not fault of the hotel.

Not my cup of tea...

The room was very stylish and comfortable. It had interesting art and "little touches."

This is an unusual place in that it is is above a bar/restaurant that seems to be the primary focus of the building. When you check in, it is with a bartender who was friendly enough; however, we were given almost no information about the hotel and no offer to help with our bags (the elevator was broken). There was no reception and no one to answer any of our questions. The room was delightful but the set-up/service was less than ideal. Not really my cup if tea.

Very good

Hotel was in a great location, near the train station, close to restaurants and the old Reading Abby ruins.

The elevator was temporarily out of order, but staff offered to carry our luggage upstairs. There was also a problem with flies in our room, possibly coming through the A/C vent.

Only stayed the 1 night in a very spacious clean & quiet room. Love the changes in the bar too, see you again soon

stayed at the Market House a number of times love room 22 can I have it again next time please 🙏
